RBC 운전조건 변화에 따른 생물막의 형성 및 조성 변화 특성

  • 기질농도, HRT, 온도, pH, $Ca^{2+}$ 농도변화에 따른 반응기의 생물막형성과 세포외고분자물질의 조성변화에 따른 기질 제거율을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 반응기의 초기 생물막 형성은 각 조건에 따라서 약간의 차이를 보였다. 반응기 운전 초기에 균에 의해 생산된 세포외고분자물질은 점액질의 형태로 세포벽에 부착되어 주위환경의 해로운 요인으로부터 세포를 보호하는 기능을 가지고 있어 생물막 형성을 촉진시키는 역할을 하였으나, 생물막이 안정화된 후에는 오히려 생물막의 산소투과와 영양분의 접촉을 떨어뜨리는 역할을 하여 기질 제거율을 저하시키는 작용을 하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 3톤/일 미분탄 처리 용량을 갖는 석탄 가스화기에 대한 운전 조건 및 특성을 조사하기 위하여 먼저 ASPEN 모사를 통하여 얻은 최적 가스화 조건을 3톤/일 석탄 가스화기 초기 운전 조건으로 결정하였다. 모사 결과에서 산소/석탄의 무게비가 가스화기 운전에 중요한 변수임을 알 수 있었다. 모사 결과를 기초로 운전한 결과 산소/석탄의 무게비가 0.7 근처에서 일산화탄소 및 수소의 생성율이 최대임을 알 수 있었고 생성 가스의 발열량은 2500kcal/N㎥ 정도임을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 브랜치 교환(Branch Exchange) 방법을 이용하여 배전 계통을 재구성하는 문제에 대하여 연구하였다. 최적 재구성 문제는 선로 절체에 따라 달라지는 모든 가능한 계통 구성들에 대해 선로손실, 전압조건을 계산하고 이들 중 최적인 구성을 찾아내는 것이다. 하지만 빠른시간 내에 이에 대한 해를 찾기란 대단히 어렵다. 그 이유는, 계통내에 수많은 연계개폐기와 구분개폐기들이 존재하고 이들로서 방사상의 운전조건을 만족해야 하기 때문이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 시간적으로 가장 유리한 특성을 갖는 브랜치 교환법을 이용하여 시스템 전체 손실이 감소하고 방사상 운전조건과 전압의 제약조건을 만족하도록 최적화하는 방안을 구현하고자 한다.

A Study on the Release Characteristics of VOCs from Heat Recovery Ventilation System (폐열회수형 환기장치의 휘발성유기화함물 배출 특성에 관한 연구)

  • VOCs from the heat recovery ventilation system (total heat exchanger) are measured in this study. Two different types of element (L and M type) from heat recovery ventilating system are tested to study the intial release characteristics of VOCs under KS cooling and heating standard conditions. VOCs are measured for the various flow rates and different operating times. Considering errors in the test method and the measuring instrument, the tested heat recovery ventilating systems was found to release 6 major VOCs, such as acetic acid, 2-butanone (MEK), 2-(methylthio )ethylamine, toluene, styrene, and x-acids (Ion 57). The concentrations of released VOCs are not quite much affected by operating conditions. The results show much larger VOCs concentrations in the cooling mode than in the heating mode, due to the high operating temperatures.

  • The $He^{++}$ beam transport system of the SNU 1.5-MV Tandem Van de Graaff accelerator is analysed by ion optical approach. The program OPTRANS is developed to determine the optimum operating conditions of each ion optical component and to simulate ion beam transport. First order matrix formalism is used and the space charge effect is neglected. Optimum operating conditions for the transport of 0.5~3.0 MeV $He^{++}$ beam are determined by the use of the program OPTRANS. Initial ion beam omittance is assumed to be 0.5$\times$80.0 mm.mrad from the structure of the extraction electrode and the experiment of ion beam extraction. ion beam transport characteristics of each ion optical component according to the variation of the operating conditions are investigated, and operating conditions to minimize the beam size at each slit, stripping foil, and target are calculated. Optimum operating conditions obtained from the experiment of ion beam transport show a discrepancy of less than 15% compared with the calculated ones. From the simulation and experiment of ion beam trans-port, the validity of the calculated optimum operating conditions and the usefulness of the program OPTRANS are verified.

Fouling Mitigation for Pressurized Membrane of Side-Stream MBR Process at Abnormal Operation Condition (가압식 분리막을 이용한 Side-Stream MBR 공정의 비정상 운전조건에서 막 오염 저감)

  • Pressurized membrane used for side-stream MBR process requires fouling control strategy both for normal and abnormal operation conditions for stable operation of the facilities. In this study, $85m^3/day$ of pilot-scale side-stream MBR process was constructed for the evaluation of fouling mitigation by air bubble injection into the membrane module. In addition, fouling phenomena at abnormal operation conditions of low influent and/or loading rate were also investigated. Injection of air bubble was found to be effective in delaying transmembrane pressure (TMP) increase mainly due to scouring effect on the membrane surface, resulting in expanded filtration cycle at a high flux of $40L/m^2{\cdot}h$ (LMH). At abnormal operation condition, injection of PACl (53 mg/L as Al) into the bioreactor showed 19% reduction of TMP increase. However, inhibition of nitrifying bacteria by continuous PACl injection was observed from batch experiments. In contrast, injection of powdered activated carbon (PAC, 0.6 g/L) was able to maintain the initial TMP of $0.2kg/cm^2$ for 5 days at the abnormal conditions. It may have been caused from the adsorption of extracellular polymeric substances (EPS), which was known to be excessively released during growth inhibition condition and act as the major foulants in MBR operations.

The Transient Responses of CANDU-6 Stepback Operaton (CANDU-6 단계감발 운전시 과도상태 반응에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 원자력발전소용 시뮬레이션 언어인 DSNP 언어를 이용하여 CANDU-6 발전소 운전 모사 프로그램을 구성함으로써 핵심계통인 1차냉각재 계통(PHTS)과 2차 계통 일부가 정상 및 과도조건에서 보일 수 있는 운전 상태를 연구하였다. DSNP 프로그램은 원자로심과 증기발생기에서의 열전달 모델, 열수송계통 펌프 모델 및 가압기 열수력 모델을 포함하고 있으며, 파이프(pipe)라는 단위 구성체를 이용하여 1차 냉각재계통을 노드화하여 계통 모사가 실현된다. 정상상태 100% 전출력 운전시 대표적인 운전변수를 기준으로 DSNP 결과와 CANDU-6 발전소 설계치를 비교해본 결과 서로 매우 근사한 값을 나타내었으며, 이는 과도상태 모사의 초기조건으로 합당한 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서 선택된 과도상태 모사시 DSNP 프로그램은 매우 안정된 '최종정상상태'를 얻음에 따라 원자로의 기계 물리학적 변화를 합리적으로 모사하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. CANDU-6 단계감발 운전시 동적 거동을 원자로 설계자료인 '예비 안전성 평가 보고서(PSAR)'와 비교한 결과 단기적 거동은 PSAR 결과와 다소 다른 점이 있었으나 전체적으로 합리적인 운전변수 값을 얻을 수 있었다. 단기적 거동에 대한 입증은 원자로 운전자료를 통하여 가능할 것으로 사료된다. 이상과 같이 본 연구를 통해 구성한 DSNP 프로그램은 보완 및 개선의 여지가 있으나 현재의 수준으로도 CANDU-6 발전소의 일부 과도상태 모사가 가능한 것으로 판단된다

Initial Operating Condition of Membrane Bioreactor with PVDF Hollow Fiber and Permeate Reuse (PVDF 중공사막을 이용한 막생물반응기의 초기 운전조건 설정 및 여과수 재활용)

  • In this paper, 4 bundle modules of PVDF hollow fiber membrane from Woori Tech company (Korea) were manufactured in a treatment capacity of 10 ton/day. A membrane bioreactor (MBR) pilot plant was installed at Sooyoung Wastewater Treatment Plant in Busan. An alternating aeration process was selected to avoid the concentration profile of suspended solid (SS) in the MBR. For stable operation, raw wastewater with mixed liquor suspended solid (MLSS) of about 1,000 ppm, which was in-flowed from the aeration tank of the wastewater treatment plant, was fed and filtered through the pilot plant. Subsequently the pilot plant were washed three times with washing water: once with ethanol solution, once with a solution of 5% NaOCl, and finally with washing water. After the chemical washing, the remaining water in the MBR was fed into the pilot plant. As a result, the SS removal efficiency was found to be more than 99.9%. The amount of filtrate with the aeration tank influent decreased by 16%, compared with that from the initial conditions, giving rise to 30% increase in the suction pressure. These results were used to set up continuous operation conditions. The results from the continuous operation with influent MLSS of 1,900 mg/L showed that the SS removal efficiency was about 99.99% and that the amount of filtrate and the suction pressure were $42{\sim}52L/m^2$ and 16~20 cmHg, respectively, indicating stable operation of the pilot plant. However, for the reuse of wastewater, methods need to be sought to avoid growth of algae which affects the SS removal efficiency at inlet and outlet of the permeate tank.

GE 7FA+e DLN-2.6 Gas Turbine Combustor : Part Ⅰ Operating Condition Optimization (GE 7FA+e DLN-2.6 가스터빈 연소기 연구 : Part Ⅰ 운전조건 최적화)

  • DLN-2.6 combustion tuning was carried out for the maintenance of GE 7FA+e gas turbine at Seo-Incheon combined cycle power plant. DLN-2.6 combustion system has the higher level of yellow plume and combustion vibration problem in the initial operating mode than that of the base mode($100{\sim}160MW$). The objectives of this study are to investigate the causes of yellow plume and combustion vibration problems at the starting mode and to suggest the best operating condition for the reliable working of the real combustors. By the analysis of tuning data, we could conclude that a yellow plume is caused by the rich mixture(${\phi}{\sim}1$) in a PM 1 nozzle at mode 3($20{\sim}30MW$). In addition, the combustion vibration($120{\sim}140Hz$) might be related to the cold flow characteristics of PM 3 nozzles at mode 6B($40{\sim}45MW$).
