위성통신 시스템은 기존의 지상망이나 광 케이블 기술에 비해 통신 대역폭의 유연성과 다중 접속능력, 이동통신, 광역성, 멀티포인트 및 브로드캐스팅 등의 본래의 특징으로 인해 초고속정보통신망 구축에 중요한 역할을 하게 된다. 특히 OBP (On-Board Processing) 기술을 적용하면 기존 위성통신 탑재장치의 수동적인 중계 기능 이외에 복조/재변조, 부호/복호화 및 오류정정, 중계기 및 빔간의 상호 연결/절체 등의 새로운 기능이 추가되어 능동적인 중계를 가능하게 함으로써 통신 품질의 향상, 통신 링크의 전송 효율 개선, 전송 용량 증대 등의 장점을 갖고있다. OBP 탑재 위성 B-IDSN 중계망은 하나의 거대한 가상 ATM 교환기로 간주되고, 여러중계 지구국들중 목적 중계 지구국으로 패킷들을 직접 라우팅 할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 본 논문은 OBP 탑재 위성 B-ISDN 연동 프로토콜 연구를 수행하는 것으로서, 위성 B-ISDN 구조와 각 지구국별 신호 기능 및 B-IDSN 신호 시스템인 DSS2 계층 3 신호 프로토콜, B-ISUP 프로토콜, S-BISUP 프로토콜의 구조를 분석하였다. 또한 점-대-다지점을 위한 B-ISDN의 연결과 소유권 및 각각의 프로토콜에 대한 메시지와 프리미티브를 정의하여, 이를 토대로 OBP 탑재 위성 B-IDSN 연동 프로토콜의 기본 호 처리 절차를 설계 및 구현하고, 이를 테스트하였다.

It is widely accepted that the coverage with high user densities in mobile multimedia environments can only be achieved with small cell such as micro- and pico-cell. If handover events occur during the transmission of multimedia, the efficient resource reservation and handover methods are necessary in order to maintain the same QoS of transmitted multimedia traffic because the QoS may be defected by some delay and information loss. In this paper, we propose a resource allocation method in the next generation mobile communication systems, in which the resource allocation process has a tight relation with call admission, call load, and packet scheduling. The simulation results show that our proposed method provides a excellent performance.

본 논문에서는 초고속 통신망을 이용한 고급 삼차원 정보 제공을 위하여 개발한 두 가지 WWW (World Wide Web) 정보 시스템에 대하여 설명하고자 한다. 하나는 인체 골격 교육 시스템으로, 서버와 브라우저로 구성하여 인체의 골격 구성을 WWW에서 삼차원화시켜 보여주고 사용자가 원하는 부위를 직접 접근하고 관찰할 수 있게 하는 시스템 개발 방법을 기술한다. 인체 골격의 방대한 데이터를 사용자에게 효과적으로 제공하기 위한 서버 구축의 계층적 (Hierarchical) 표현 기법을 설명하고, 브라우저가 제공하는 기본 삼차원 관찰 기능 외에 인체 뼈를 절단하는 기능과 삼차원 한글, 한자, 영문 텍스트 저작기능을 설명한다. 다른 하나는 가상 건축 설계 시스템으로 이차원 도면 설계 프로그램과 서버로 구성하여 건물, 건축 형식의 이차원 도면을 작성하여 전송하면 서버에서 삼차원 건축물을 생성하여 제공하는 시스템 개발 방법을 기술한다. 이차원 도면 설계 프로그램의 객체 지향 구현 기법과 클라이언트 (Client)와 서버 (Server) 간의 통신 및 인터페이스 (Interface) 릎 구현하여, 이차원 도변을 작성하여 그에 대한 결과를 전송 하는 방법에 대하여 논한다. 인체 골격 교육 시스템은 인터넷을 통한 교육 및 의료 활용에 실제감 있는 서비스를 제공하게 되고, 가상 건축 설계 시스템으로 원거리에서도 쉽게 건축 설계 결과를 평가하여 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

With the rapid increase of high-speed network and internet use, those who fall into Internet addictions increase. They have serious personal, familial, academic/occupational and financial problems. So it is very important to estimate the ratio of Internet addiction accurately, to establish the strategies for internet addiction effectively, and to prevent internet user from internet addiction. In this paper, we introduce the KIAS:Korean Internet Addictions Scale and a survey on the Interned Addictions in Korea. Nearly 4.8% of those totally surveyed met the strict criteria for KIAS and subgroups showed different addiction-ratios(adults 1.6%; elementary school 4.1%; middle and high school 6.6%; college 6.6%; adults 1.6%).

Continuing advance in computers and MIDI devices has accelerated research on the computerized music technology, Realization of high speed computer communication networks facilitated on-line computer music systems, which needs to send a volume of multimedia data. This paper presents the design and implementation of the Remote Concert Education System which helps users practice ensemble without gathering in a room. The system maintains the music database, identifies tones and measures of the melody played with different instruments, check the correctness on-line, and finally provides the analysed results of the ensemble. The developed system can be used as a supporting system for music education if high speed communication network is available.

Information management area faced new challenge arised from the developments of the computer and the information network, and the advent of information super highway. With deep perception of importance of the information, developments of information technologies, and change of the users' environment, we came to envision the digital library. This paper intends to describe the concept and function of the digital library, and to examine some of information technologies such as CD-ROM, OCR technology and image scanning, hypertext, hypermedia and multimedia. And it also considers the strategies for electronic information services and the applicability of the current information technology for digitalization by case studies of the existing database systems.

A medical record and radiographic image transmission system has been developed using high speed communication network. The databases are designed to store and transmit the data acquired from the scanner. To maximally utilize the communication bandwidth, the medical records and radiographic images are compressed using the G3 facsimile and JPEG coding standard method respectively. TCP/IP, OOP and window based system software enables the modular design, future expandability, open system interconnectivity, and graphical user interface. In addition, the fast and easy data base access capability and diverse image manipulation functions are also implemented.

This paper describes a wearable electro-stethoscope module for home-healthcare system. The module is consisted of a microphone, an instrumentation amplifier, a filter, a power amplifier etc. and is light and small. The phonogram signal from the module shows good performance. The test for the material and size of the sound collector of the chest piece is performed and the results is reflected on the prototype product. If the module is connected to wired or wireless communication network, so people can check their health without going hospital.

In middle and high school to learn engineering principles to Experiments in space and time constraints and difficulties for the study of engineering principles to the problem is superficial. In this paper, Pascal's principles etc. learning about fluid mechanics and implemented in Web Browser, In connection with flash and HTML, and simulation and virtual experiments is to implement interesting. Of fluid mechanics education through engineering design and web design through the actual web server is implemented on the Internet over broadband. Department of Education, this study fluid dynamics and the Internet will contribute to the development of distance education.

현재 원격수업 교육 시스템은 21세기를 맞이하여 초고속정보통신망의 발전과 함께 사회전반에 크게 이슈로 떠오르고 있다. 하지만 현재는 특정 업체나 단체에서 교육을 독점적으로 서비스하기 위해 웹 기반으로 서비스가 이루어질 학교에서는 자체적으로 특정 교과를 독립적으로 교육을 행할 수 있는 시스템이 없는 현실이다. 이 논문에서는 원격 교육서비스를 통하여 학습자가 언제, 어디서든지 멀티미디어 데이터를 제공받아서 학습 및 평가를 받을 수 있는 주문형 수업 시스템을 제안한다. 공급자와 수요자에게 사용상에 특별한 지식을 요구하지 않는 사용자 인터페이스를 제공, 교육 정보갱신이 쉽고 빠르게 이루어지며, 특정 교과를 독립적으로 서비스가 가능하며, 서비스상에 특별한 인력을 필요로 하지 않으며, 수요자는 원하는 시간에 자신의 능력별로 서비스를 받을 수 있게 된다.
