  • 일반적으로 아이들은 어른보다 활동적인 경향이 있어 적절한 체력수준을 유지한다. 그러나 해부학적, 생리학적, 심리학적으로 미성숙하기 때문에 운동프로그램을 고안할 때 특별한 주의가 필요하다.아이들을 위한 운동프로그램에서 가장 중요한 것이 안정성이다. 아이들은 신체활동 시 부상률이 높고, 지구성운동이 과할 경우 골단성장판을 다칠 수 있기 때문에 더욱 안정에 유의한다. 또한 아이들은 성인에 비해 열자극에 적응하는데 상대적으로 무력하므로 온도가 높은 여름날 야외에서 운동할 경우, 물을 많이 섭취하게 하고 자주 휴식을 취하도록 한다.

Convergence Educational Exploration of Anxiety about PE Class in Middle School Coed Class and Single-sex Class (중학교 혼성·동성학급의 체육수업 걱정거리에 대한 융복합교육 방안 탐색)

  • This study looks into the level of anxiety that middle school students have about PE class, dividing the classes into coed class and single-sex class and aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of differences in sub-factors of the anxiety. Subjects of the study were 554 students in randomly selected six middle schools located in Gyeonggi-do. To figure out the relationships among the sub-factors of the anxiety according to class, grade, academic record and the level of physical strength, a Multivariate Analysis of Variance model was set up and analysis was conducted. The results obtained through the research are as follows. First, it was predicted that the level of anxiety about PE class in middle school would have a great impact on the factor, 'punishment' by class (coed and single-sex). Second, it was predicted that the level of anxiety about PE class in middle school would have a great impact on the factors, 'anxiety about the event of sports' and 'conflict during class' by grade. Third, it was found that there was no difference in the level of anxiety about PE class that middle school students had according to their academic record in PE. Fourth, it was predicted that the level of anxiety about PE class in middle school would have a great impact on the factor of 'anxiety about the event of sports' by the level of physical strength.

  • 다양한 연구에 따르면, 고려인삼은 허약한 체질, 숙취, 폐경과 월경불순, 초기 당뇨병, 영양실조, 빈혈 및 단백질 부족, 간기능 악화, 각종 독성물질에 기인한 중독, 피로, 추위, 스트레스, 산후조리, 체력쇠퇴 등에 효능이 있음이 알려져 있다. 특히 고려인삼은 혈관 기능을 효과적으로 조절함으로 고혈압, 뇌졸중, 심근경색, 동맥경화, 관절염, 당뇨, 비만 등의 질환을 효과적으로 치료하거나 예방할 수 있는 효능이 있음이 최근 연구에 의하여 밝혀지고 있다. 그러나 고려인삼 약리효능의 표적분자(target molecule)나 생화학적 작용기전(biochemical mechanism)이 세포 및 분자 수준에서 규명되지 못하여 고려인삼이 의약품으로 인정받지 못하고 건강식품으로 분류되고 있어 소비가 한인 흑인 히스패닉 시장에 한정되고 있고, 최근에는 타 경쟁국 인삼에 비해 수출 경쟁력이 약화되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 고려인삼 추출물과 효능성분이 혈관내피세포 기능조절에 미치는 효능 및 작용기전을 규명하여 고려인삼이 호발성 혈관질환에 대한 예방 및 치료 효능이 있음을 분자 및 유전자 수준에서 확인하고자 하였다.

  • 최근 대형고층건축물의 수적증가로 인해 화재 발생 시 재실자의 피난안전 확보가 매우 중요하게 되었다. 특히 지속적인 증가를 보이고 있는 고령자는 화재발생시 피난 및 대응이 부족해 많은 피해가 예상되기에 고층건축물의 피난계획 및 설계 시부터 재해약자인 고령자의 피난안전성 확보가 우선시 되어야한다. 이를 위해서는 고령자의 피난행동특성에 대한 연구 및 실험을 통한 기초적인 피난Data구축이 선행 되어야하기에 본 연구는 고령자를 대상으로 초고층건물의 상향과 하양의 이동피난실험을 진행했으면 노인들의 체력수준, 공간인지 수준, 화재발생시 피난 선호 방식 등에 대한 의견을 수렴하고자 피난실험 전과 후로 구분하여 설문을 실시 분석하였다.

  • 도시자연공원은 도심에 자연적으로 형성된 숲 속에 다양한 체육시설을 설치하고 이를 이용함으로서 도 시인들에게 휴식을 제공한다. 이 체육시설 가운데에 옥외 골프연습장은 국민의생활수준 향상과 함께 많은 시민들이 주간이나 야간에 이용하는 장소이며 이때 야간에 점등되는 조명설비는 이용자에게 공의 위치를 분명하게 확인하게 해주어야하고 눈부심이 없어야 한다. 또한 주변을 걷는 사람들에게도 조명에 의한 불쾌감이 없어야 한다. 도시자연공원의 주목적은 신체활동의 부족, 자기표현의 기회상실, 인간관계 등과 관련하여 신체활동을 통해 체력을 단련하고 생활에 활력을 가져 보다 밝고 풍요한 생활을 영위하는데 있으며 국민의 생활수준의 향상에 힘입어 향후 도시자연공원 체육시설은 급증 할 것으로 예측된다. 본 고에서는 이러한 도시자연공원에 설치할 옥외 골프연습장의 조명설비에 대한 설계를 소개하도록 한다.

Development of Firefighting Performance Test Drills while Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (소방방화복을 착용했을 때의 소방진압 업무 적합도 평가 프로토콜의 개발)

  • A firefighting simulation was developed in order to assess the physical work capacity of firefighters. The simulation consisted of eight common firefighting tasks, including walking with radiant heat for 3 min while wearing full personal protective equipment (PPE). Nine professional firefighters performed the test a total of three times with a 5 min rest interval between each session. The entire series of tests took approximately 30 min to complete ($381{\pm}30s$). Rectal temperatures were found to increase from $37.4{\pm}0.3^{\circ}C$ to $38.5{\pm}0.4^{\circ}C$, while heart rates were found to increase from $92{\pm}18bpm$ to $185{\pm}13bpm$ during testing. Time to completion of the test drills and non-modified physical fitness values showed a significantly negative correlation (r = -0.728, p < 0.05). Firefighters who had longer periods of firefighting service had longer duration time and also recorded higher scores using an integrated scoring system of time to completion (TTC) and physiological strain index (PhSI). The results indicated that the determination of TTC alone can be a misrepresentation of capability, as it neglects to account for accumulated heat strain. The simulated firefighting test provided a useful insight into physical fitness level, but also the comprehensive work capacity of the firefighters when assessed based on TTC and PhSI.

Validation of the Developed Evaluation Method for Competition Intelligence of Sport Talented Children (체육영재의 영재성 평가도구에 대한 타당도 검증)

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the validity of the developed evaluation method for competition intelligence of sport talented children of of Kim et al.(2015). For this purpose, total 3 times of observation by sports leaders were accomplished for evaluation of competition intelligence. After finishing final observation, the correlation between the sub-factors(practice intelligence, learning intelligence, and training intelligence) and gifted students' physical fitness and KOSTASS were examined. First, as the reliability, the correlations between leaders' observation results were significantly higher than 0.8 in all sub-factors. Second, all sub-factors of competition intelligence showed significant positive correlation with in standing jump, 50m dash and side step test improvement(p<.05). Third, all sub-factors showed no significant correlation with KOSTASS(p>.05). These results showed that the evaluation tool by Kim et al.(2015) didn't not fully reflect the improvement level of basic physical fitness factors of the gifted students. However, the results of correlation between physical fitness factors requiring technical learning process showed that the gymnastic gauging tools included learning process and task acquisition level.

The Analysis of the Health Related Physical Fitness and Mental Health in Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities on Virtual Reality Exercise Program by Game Bike - a pilot study (게임바이크를 이용한 가상현실 운동프로그램 적용이 지적장애인의 건강관련체력과 정신건강에 미치는 영향 - 탐색연구)

  • Intellectual disability affects all spheres of the lives of people can be who suffer from it. Unfortunately, modern medicine cannot cure intellectual disability. However, the quality of life improved by means of physical exercise. In this study, we compared the health-related physical fitness, metabolic syndrome index and mental health between a game biking group(5 participants) and a brisk walking group(4 participants). This study used a between-subject design and verified by non-parametric test. The participants performed an exercise program with warm up and resistance training for 12 weeks. A game bike was used for the physically impaired, where the individual looked at a screen and pedaled. The fasters he pedaled the faster the object on the screen movies. We measured health-related physical fitness, metabolic syndrome index and mental health. We also measured their perceived exertion and interest during the exercise by a visual analog scale. The results before and after the exercise program showed that health-related physical fitness, metabolic risk factors, mental health level were improved in both groups. As we hypothesized before the study, the game biking group showed a statistically significantly different level on the Rating of Perceived Exertion than the brisk walking group and a higher level on the Rating of Exercise Interest during the exercise program. Our results lead to a conclusion that an exercise program with the use of a game bike improve motivation for exercise participation in intellectually handicapped participants.

The relationship between physical fitness factors and academic achievement of high school students in Korea (한국고등학생의 체력요인과 국가수준의 학업성취도의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between physical fitness factors and academic achievement among high school students. As a research method, cardiopulmonary endurance, flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance, quickness, BMI index, and academic achievement of high school students were measured for 641 male and female high school students in 2014 and 2017. The results of this study show that cardiopulmonary endurance is correlated with cardiopulmonary endurance factors (p<0.05), cardiopulmonary endurance is correlated with flexibility and quickness (p<0.05), and flexibility is correlated with academic achievement (p<0.01). Muscle strength was correlated with quickness and body fat (p<0.05), and muscle endurance was correlated with muscle strength, quickness, and BMI (p<0.05), and correlation between quickness (p<0.01), and there was a correlation between academic achievement (p<0.01). The conclusion of this study is that developing and implementing a more effective physical fitness program can contribute to the academic achievement and physical fitness of domestic high school students because various physical activities have a positive relationship with academic achievement in addition to physical fitness.

Effect of Home Training on Male College Students Body Composition and Fitness (홈트레이닝이 남자 대학생의 신체 조성과 체력에 미치는 효과)

  • Sixteen male college students were divided into two groups: a face-to-face group(n=8) and a real-time non-face-to-face exercise group(n=8), engaging in 30minute sessions twice a week for a duration of 8 weeks. Body composition and physical strength were measured as dependent variables before and after the home training period. For data analysis, a two-way ANOVA with repeated measures was conducted to evaluate the effects on body composition and physical strength, considering differences in exercise methods and measurement periods. Post hoc analysis using Bonferroni correction was applied. To compare the mean difference in change between groups, the pre-post difference was calculated, and an independent t-test was performed. The statistical significance level was set at p<.05. The results showed that 8 weeks of home training led to an increase in skeletal muscle mass and improvements in muscle strength, muscular endurance, and cardiorespiratory endurance in male college students, regardless of whether they participated in face-to-face or real-time non-face-to-face exercise. Moreover, there was no significant difference in exercise effectiveness between the face-to-face and real-time non-face-to-face exercise methods. Thus, these findings suggest that real-time non-face-to-face exercise can be as effective as face-to-face exercise in enhancing skeletal muscles and physical strength in male college students. Additionally, if a real-time non-face-to-face exercise program is validated for individuals with mobility issues or the elderly, it could serve as an effective alternative for those who face challenges in participating in face-to-face exercise sessions.
