  • Cheongpungho and riversides are located in the center of South Korea Jecheon Peninsula, cheongpungho be formed by a chungju hydroelectric dam built in 1984 has now been changed as a freshwater lake created by the center of the South Han River upstream over the past 30 years. Recent Jecheon-sigovernment is developing the entertainment and natural healing resorts for the future, this research is using remote sensing techniques and field survey plan in comparison to the feasibility study of the cultural festival of the area was conducted in geographic research and analysis very effective to conduct the natural environment and terrain analysis by aerial photography and remote sensing techniques that can be proven integration and cultural content, in the riverside area of future business creation and tourism resources of the facilities and events in the new brand through research It was envisioned. As a result, we propose a new direction for the future of cultural tourism to participate in the new state-of-the-art digital imaging technology to traditional cultural content in fusion experiments to be more multi-cultural festival is formed.

  • In this study we investigated the effect of a floating photovoltaic (FPV) system in Cheongpung Lake on water quality. The FPV with a tilt angle of 33° covered ca. 0.04% of surface area (97 ㎢) of Chungju Lake. The water qualities of the whole lake before and after installation of FPV were first compared. DO, BOD, TOC, and Chl-a of the whole lake were increased, while conductivity decreased after installation period at the significance level of 0.05. This change was probably due to the increased influx of nutrients by 40% resulting from increased precipitation during the same period. We also measured water quality parameters on May and Nov. 2017 at the FPV center (FPVC) and nearby control sites, and compared water quality. The result showed that the FPVC and nearby sites were not significantly different (p>0.05), demonstrating that the FPV does not cause a decline of water quality. The water temperature, light intensity, and phytoplankton community were also measured. The water temperature was not different between the sites, while the light intensity decreased to 27~50%. Despite reduced light intensity at FPVC, the phytoplankton standing crops and the number of species were not significantly different (p>0.05). However, in the early November samples, standing crops was significantly higher in FPVC than control with periphytic diatoms belonging to Aulacoseira genus being dominant. This may be due to the temporal water body behavior or local retention of current by FPV system. This study may provide a measure of future installation of a FPV system.

  • It's a very meaningful experimental study to image restoration of ancient villages vanished at the real life spatial world. Focused on Cheung-Pyung Lake around where most part were flooded by the Chung-Ju large dam founded in early 1980s, we used remote sensing technique in this study in order to restore topographical features before the flood with 3 dimensional effects. It was gathered comparatively good satellite photos and remotely sensed digital images, then its made a new color image from these and the topographical map which had been made before filled water. This task was putting together two kinds of different timed images. And then, we generated DEM(digital elevation model) including the outskirts of that area as harmonizing current contour lines with the map. That could be a perfect 3D image of Cheung-Pyung around before when it had been flood by making perspective images from all directions, north, south, east and west, for showing there in three dimensions. Also, flying simulation we made for close visiting can bring us to experience their real space at that time.
