전기투석에 의한 발효아미노산의 분리

  • 발효 아미노산을 분리하는 기존의 공정인 이온교환법에서 폐액 및 폐수처리에 따른 문제점을 해결하기 위한 새로운 분리공정으로 탈염 전기투석과 Water-splitting Electrodiaysis를 이용한 발효 아미노산의 분리 가능성 및 다양한 cell configuration과 막에 대한 성능 실험을 실시하였다. 실험결과 전기투석에 의해 경도물질을 제거한 후 양이온교환막과 bipolar 막으로 구성된 2-compartment WSED로 효과적으로 발효액에서 아미노산을 분리 할 수 있었으나 1가 양이온에 선택성을 지닌 양이온교환막으로는 아미노산의 분리가 어려움을 알 수 있었다.

Simulation of a Clean Room Fire I. Effects of Smoke Curtain (청정실 화재의 시뮬레이션 I. 방연커튼의 효과)

  • A fire in a clean room may cause a serious loss by spreading smoke particles. The effects of the width of smoke curtains on delay in smoke spread, which is located the work area boundaries, were investigated by using a computational fluid dynamics, for loss prevention by smoke spreading from one fire area to another. The fire scenario was set to a 1 MW methanol fire in a space of $30m\times10m$ floor and 4 m high. Distributions of temperature and smoke particles were compared for the width of the smoke curtains 0 (without smoke curtains), 1, 2, 3m. It was confirmed that a larger width of the smoke curtain delays spread of smoke more, and that making the work areas compartments is necessary to confine the smoke in the fire area.

  • The unique method for evaluating the environmental impact, which is restricted to use in BS7750, was performed to determine the priority for reducing environmental loads in the cement process. Mass balance in the unit process was achieved, it was utilized to introduce the matrix method which are composed of two different evaluation's criteria by occurrence possibility and by occurrence results. The purpose of this paper is first to explain the matrix method in the practical plant and secondly to show the successful examples of enviromental improvement. Conclusively, the seriousness of environmental impact could be quantified in several different unit processes and suggested some progressive results obtained after process improvement.

  • 현대인의 실생활은 무수히 많은 사물간의 데이터를 주고받을 수 있는 연결고리로 이루어져 있다. 이러한 연결고리 속에서 우리는 IoT(Information of Things), 즉 사물인터넷을 쉽게 경험할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 사물인터넷의 활용으로 인한 차량 내 각 시트에 무게를 측정할 수 있는 하드웨어 시스템 및 안전벨트 연결 확인 하드웨어 시스템을 부착하여, 차량 내 탑승인원을 파악하고 그에 대한 할인 시스템을 개발하여 차량감소 효과로 인한 주차공간 확보 및 대기오염으로부터 청정효과를 기대할 수 있는 시스템을 제안하고자 한다.

Characteristics of Indoor PM2.5 and the effect of air purifier and ventilation system on Indoor PM2.5 in the Knowledge Industrial Center office during the atmospheric PM2.5 warning (초미세먼지 주의보 시 지식산업센터 사무실의 실내 초미세먼지 농도 특성과 공기청정기와 환기장치의 영향)

  • In this study, the indoor fine dust concentration in an office of the Korea Knowledge Industry Center was measured for about 80 hours when the concentration of atmospheric PM2.5 was very high. The effect of the operation of the air cleaner and the forced ventilation system on the indoor PM2.5 was investigated, and the particle size distribution of the indoor and outdoor particles was analyzed. When forced ventilator and air purifiers were partially used, the indoor PM2.5 concentrations were maintained between 27.7 ㎍/㎥ and 32.9 ㎍/㎥ when the atmospheric PM2.5 was 127.7 ㎍/㎥ to 141.6 ㎍/㎥ during working hours. It is more effective to operate the air purifier without operating the forced ventilation system when the concentration of the PM2.5 is high since the PM2.5 penetrating the installed filter is continuously introduced indoor from the outside.

Swine Wastewater Treatment by using Steel-making Slag (제강슬래그 특성을 이용한 축산폐수 처리효과)

  • For increase of recycling rate of steel-making slag, the swine wastewater treatment using steel-making slag as filter media were investigated. As the discharged wastewater from the existing facilities retreated through the laboratory wastewater treatment equipment filled with steel-making slag as filter, pH of retreated wastewater was increased, and the concentration of N, P, COD and BOD were decreased. For the pilot experiment, steel-making slag eliminated suspended substances and absorbed a shock of sudden change of their concentration in influent. COD and BOD were decreased under the influence of them in influent. As calcination increased the amount of free-CaO in steel-making slag, the calcined eliminated phosphorus more effectively and increase pH than the uncalcined.

A Study on the Removal Efficiency of Harmful Pollutants in the Cooking Chamber (조리실내의 유해오염물질 제거율에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to reduce the contaminants (total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs), fine particle, odor and total airborne bacteria) during cooking process in cooking chamber, and to decrease the health damage in indoor space that has bad work environment. In order to solve the shortcomings of existing air purifiers and remove all kinds of pollutants effectively, this study focused on the development of indoor air purifiers which are made of bar type. Bio-ceramics filter which combines activated carbon and loess. The air cleaners developed with 4 measuring items including TVOCs, particulate matter, complex odor and total airborne bacteria were measured comparing their pre-service test to their post-service test after a period of time. The measured results showed higher removal efficiency of 91.02% as the concentration of TVOCs was reduced from $2,500{\mu}g/m^3$ to $223{\mu}g/m^3$. Second, the particulate matter removal ratio was 97.51% efficient with average concentration of $26.68{\mu}g/m^3$. Third, the odor showed 95.20% reduction as air dilution ratio averaged out at 144. Last, total airborne bacteria was eliminated by over 94% showing the changeable concentration from $787{\sim}814CFU/m^3$ to $47{\sim}40CFU/m^3$. In addition, the removal rate of harmful pollutants is excellent, and it is expected that the environment of the existing poor cooking room will be greatly improved by using the developed air purifier in combination with the ventilation device and the stove hood.
