Because Korean military promotes employment support policy which give priority to the middle service officer who served more than 5 but less than 10 years and long term service officer who served more than 10 years, the support policy for obligated involuntary officer is relatively deficient. To make matters worse, national youth unemploy ment makes obligated involuntary officers suffer from serious unemployment crisis after discharge. These problems have bad effect on gaining ROTC KAOCS cadets who constitute about 80% of first appointment officers and because they are mostly discharged after just taking a short service, it's time to find a measure to solve the problem. Thus, this study is investigated to improve competitive rate of entry of ROTC KAOCS for securing outstanding manpower by deducing MR about legislation and system which are related to employment support for obligated involuntary officers and suggesting stable job secure plan for employment support, supplement system, and after discharge, model way of career management during military service of an obligated involuntary officers who are suitable for qualificated men who are needed for a company. Also, it will lead to combat power development of the military consequently.
This study aims to identify changes in early work career of youth cohort entering the labor market pre and post-the economic crisis and compare career pathway types of different cohorts. Labor market experiences of youth cohort were constructed by sequencing the number of organizations, kinds of jobs, the scale of the business, and type of employment. In addition, a holistic sequence was created by including complementary factors. In this sense, the labor market experience in this study was conceptualized as a process involving continuous sequences and hierarchical and orderly changes which differs from a simple job mobility. Sequence analysis involving Optimal Matching method was conducted to examine whether such cohort-differences in labor market experiences were related to differences in distribution of career pathway types. The result showed that the post-economic crisis cohort had a relatively higher likelihood of falling into the non-employment type, unemployment type, non-corporate employment type, irregular employment type, and mobile employment type. These findings provide empirical evidence supporting the hypothesis that the employment precariousness of cohort has exacerbated after the economic crisis.
After analyzing and finding the explaining factors about the "Effect of My Mom's Friend's Son (MMFS Effect)" with online-surveyed data, we introduce this concept into the conventional job search theory to develop it further. We try to estimate its effects on the hazard rate of youth pre-employment duration with some proxy variables such as his/her parents' schooling, living with parents dummy, increasing rate of consumer price index representing the burdens of parents, monthly temporary/daily workers ratio, relative ratio of quarterly 90th percentile urban household income, monthly average wage differentials between the workers of large and small firms, etc. The results confirm us the fact that so called "MMFS Effect" has been effective enough and strengthened up to recently. The conventional job search theory should be extended to be able to introduce the influencing effects of other person's success, for instance MMFS's success, on the job search behavior of youths, too.

The government is trying to create jobs by providing 160 billion won in 2021 to revitalize youth start-ups, but the number of youth unemployment and potential unemployment is hitting a record high of 1.2 million due to the shock of employment due to COVID-19. Although start-ups are encouraged as an alternative to revitalizing jobs, the success rate of young start-ups is low due to lack of start-up funds and experience. The purpose of this study is to understand the need to diversify start-up education and career education by understanding start-up policies through one-time funding and short-term education. The results of the study on the factors affecting the willingness to start a business were as follows, by sampling 344 students from specialized high schools preparing for employment and 344 young people in their 20s who are seeking jobs. First, among the entrepreneurship subvariables, innovation, autonomy of job value, and desire for economic achievement are significant, and the older the person surveyed, the more positive the perception of the entrepreneur was. Second, as you get older, your will to start a business decreases, and your experience in successful start-up models and start-up education has an impact on your will to start a business. Third, perception of entrepreneurs is a partial medium effect, which indirectly influences the willingness to start a business and directly or indirectly influences the willingness to start a business through the autonomy of job values, the desire to achieve economic and entrepreneurship.
This Study focuses on the university students' job attitude and cost of employment preparation. Nowadays, many university and college students spend a big money improving their employment preparation such as studying on foreign language, getting various kinds of certificates and tooth correction, clothing etc. for employment interview. This study investigated the cost of employment preparation and Job attitude of the 484 students of universities and colleges, the analysis of the collected data was conducted with SPSS 12.0 program by using frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability assessment, correlation test, t-test, one way ANOVA. The university students paid more costs of employment preparation such as a language training abroad, a private training, and clothing than the college students. Also, Allied social science students paid more costs of the language training abroad, and clothing than allied computer science and allied design students. The female students paid more money than male students for tooth correction. The costs of language training abroad, private training and clothing are affected the students' socioeconomic background of a home. Regarding the job attitude of students, the university students are feeling more positive than the college students of the employment efficacy and cognition of the education environment. As result, the differences in the cost of employment preparation by the university type, faculty major course, their sex, and socioeconomic background of a home. The student's employment-efficacy and cognition of the education environment are also differences between the university and the college students. So, to improve the job attitude, developing their ability for employment preparation, educational programs should be arranged in school and continuous researches are needed.
This study uses the 12-21st waves of KLIPS to estimate the effect of the increase in the minimum wage on the individual's labor market transition through a multinomial logit. In particular, we examine whether there was an additional effect of the rapid increase in the minimum wage in 2018. The main results of this study are as follows. First, the increase in the minimum wage in Korea is found to have increased the probability of becoming unemployed for both wage workers and self-employed, but there is no additional impact found from the 2018 minimum wage increase. Second, the increase in the minimum wage is found to increase the likelihood of the self-employed entering into wage workers, especially temporary and daily workers. Third, we have found that the increase in the minimum wage in 2018 adversely affected self-employed people with high school education, and significantly lowered young wage workers entering into self-employed. Our results suggest that the recent increase in the minimum wage may be responsible for declining self-employment rate in Korea, and may have a negative effect on the quality of employment because the increase in minimum wage can lead to an increase in temporary and daily wage workers.
Recently increasing young adults have experienced serious economic difficulties in their transition to adulthood and so a great deal of parents have to help their children financially even well after children finish their schools. Utilizing the 2008 Social Survey, a nationwide representative survey collected by the Statistics Korea, this paper examines how children, mothers, and fathers think about parental support to adult children. Respondents of the 2008 Social Survey answer how much parents support economically to their children about the following four items: college education, graduation school education, spending money while searching for jobs, and marital preparation. Analyzing a sample of 1,727 high school students and their parents, I find that the three family members generally accept economic support to the above items as part of parental duties. Also comparisons of the three family members' attitudes indicate that they usually reach the consensus about the dutiful scope of parental support to adult children. Logistic regressions reveal that male teens and children with conservatism are more likely to believe in wider scope of parental economic duties. And parents who are on good terms with children and are high in educational and occupational levels are more willing to support adult children. I conclude with implications of the findings for intergenerational relationships.

This paper empirically analyzed whether or not professional college students' Protean career attitudes affect entrepreneurial intention through employability and entrepreneurship, and whether or not they have practical training experiences can make a difference in such influence. For this reason, a questionnaire survey was conducted on about 240 students at specialized universities in Seoul and the Gyeonggi province for one month beginning on June 1, 2018. Of the 220 collected questionnaires, 214 parts in total were selected for final analysis, except for the 6 parts of the answer sheet which were not sure if there was a missing value or not. The main findings are as follows. First, it has been confirmed that the professional career attitude of Protean has influenced employability and entrepreneurial intention, but has not directly influenced entrepreneurial intention. Secondly, it has been confirmed that the employability and entrepreneurship have have a positive influence on the entrepreneurial intention. Thirdly, it has been confirmed that employability and entrepreneurship play a role as a fully mediated role in the relationship between the attitude of the Protean career and the entrepreneurial intention. Fourthly, considering the characteristics of the vocational college, there is no difference in the influence of employability and entrepreneurship on the entrepreneurial intentions, but the influence of the protean career attitude on employability and entrepreneuriship was different depending on whether or not they had the practical training experiences. This study is to analyze the relationship between the protean career attitude and the entrepreneurial intention in the aspect of employment and entrepreneurial activation of young people.

This study was conducted to evaluate the perception and satisfaction of undergraduates majoring in culinary arts and food service with working and internship abroad. The responses of the participants to 10 questions regarding perception and 13 questions regarding the importance and satisfaction with working and internship abroad were measured on a 5 point Likert scale. The primary results were as follows : 1) The subjects were composed of 50.9% male and 49.1% female students, of which 42.1% were employed and 57.9% experienced an internship abroad. 2) Most students went abroad to gain experience with respect to various foreign cultures in response to recommendations by the western cuisine department. 3) The items "I wish to conduct my affairs continuously"(M=4.21) and "I have good relationships with my colleagues at work"(M=4.11) received the highest points from male and female respondents, respectively. 4) Male students considered "cooperation among divisions"(M=4.11), "language skills"(M=4.38), and "kitchen environment"(M=4.34) to be very important. However, female students believed that "language skills"(M=4.36),"social relationships"(M=4.21), and "wage income"(M=4.18) were most important. Furthermore, male students were most satisfied with "company size" (M=4.28), "kitchen environment"(M=4.21), and "business hours"(M=4.10), while female students were most satisfied with "kitchen environment","incentive"(M=4.14) and "social relationships"(M=4.11).
