B-H Loop Measurement of a High Tensile Steel Plate (사각판재형 강재의 자기특성측정)

  • Minor B-H loop measurement for a rectangular high tensile steel was obtained by using Labview. A ferrite cores of high permeance with primary and secondary windings on the steel plate were used to form a closed loop of magnetic flux. To compensate errors due to an extremely small gap between a pair of ferrite core, and between the ferrite core and the rectangular high tensile steel, quadratic function of least square method was used. Also a 3D FEM magnetic analysis tool was used to measure H and B of the steel. B-H loop of the high tensile steel plate can be measured up to 520 A/m of a magnetic field and 0.15 T of a magnetic flux density.

Effect of Onggi on Bread Quality (옹기가 빵 품질에 미치는 영향)

  • How do we use onggi, Korean earthenware, for container of dough during fermentation instead of stainless steel container? How does it affect the flavor of bread if onggi tray is used in baking instead of steel tray? We tried to confirm those. As a result, the characteristics of onggi made positive effect on dough in fermenting room. The time, when the temperature of the center in the dough is equilibrated to that of surface on the dough, take shorter in onggi than in stainless steel. It could make the temperature of dough maintained evenly with little deviation, which could result in shorter fermentation time. Volume and surface color of the bread baked on onggi tray were better than on steel tray. The bread baked on onggi tray got higher score on overall acceptability in sensory test than on steel tray. Therefore, if onggi is used during baking, it could produce better quality of bread like making positive effect on fermented foods.

Steel Plate Thickness Gauge by means of Gamma-Ray Backscattering (감마선 빽스켓터링을 이용한 철판 두께 측정에 관하여)

  • An experimental study of a steel plate thickness gauge by means of the measurements of backscatered gamma-rays has been carried out. The difference between this and other methods is that this method does not include any shilding matterials in the detecting probe, because the primary radiations and the backscattered radiations are detected simultaneously by an NaI (TI) scintillating crystal, and the activity of the Co-60 source used is low enough. In this thickness gauge, the thickness of the steel plates can be read directly on the counting ratemeter scale. The optimum conditions in the source-to-detector distance, window width of the analyzer, energy and strength of the gamma-ray source were found experimentally. The results have shown that the accuracy of the gauge was about $\pm$3% in the range of 3 to 8mm thickness. This gauge can be used to detect the pits or corrosions on the inner walls of the steel pipes.

A Study on the Heat Loss Reduction of a Refrigerator by Thermal Conductivity Change and Partial Removal of Rubber Magnet (냉장고 가스켓 주위 고무자석 재질 및 형상 변경에 따른 열손실 개선 연구)

  • The present study has been carried out to reduce the heat loss from a refrigerator by changing thermal conductivity and partial removal of rubber magnet near refirgerator gasket. To perform this purpose, two dimensional heat transfer analysis for the horizontal cross sectional plane of a refrigerator has been accomplished. From the present study, it could be seen that the heat loss could be reduced nearly 7% by changing thermal conductivity of rubber magnet from 10W/mK to 1W/mK. The heat loss reduction, 17%, could be achieved by removal of rubber magnet near hotline and the effect on the heat loss reduction by partial removal of rubber magnet might be helpful for the refrigerator power consumption.

  • As a new technical approach, a hydraulic and magnetic clamp device was developed to realize a magnetic clamp crane system by simultaneously actuating eight individual hydraulic cylinders. In this approach, an Sr-type of ferritic permanent magnet (SrO· 6Fe2O3), rather than the previous electromagnet, was utilized for the purpose of lifting and transporting the large curved steel plates used for manufacturing ships. This study had the goal of developing and manufacturing a hydraulic, magnetic clamp prototype composed of three main parts, including the base frame, cylinder joint, and magnet joint, in order to safely transport curved steel plates. Furthermore, this research included a performance evaluation of the manufactured prototype and acquired the purposed quantity value in the performance test. The most significant item, the magnetic adhesive force (G), was evaluated in a performance test, which utilized a ferritic permanent magnet (Sr type) with 3700~4000 G of residual induction (Br) and 2640/2770 Oe of coercive force (Hc). In particular, relevant items such as the hoist tension (kN), transportation time (s), and applied load (Kgf) on the hydraulic cylinders were also evaluated in order to determine the optimum values.

  • Multi-layered material (sandwich panel) consists of double-sided steel plate which is incombustible material or similar material and core material which is not incombustible material. In case of sandwich panel which uses combustible material as insulation, flames spread inside the steel plate at the time of fire so that it is difficult to extinguish fire from the outside and flames spread rapidly and may cause the building to collapse. The current Building Act requires the sandwich panel to secure fire-retardant performance according to the purpose and size of building. In this study, the fire spreading prevention structure applied to partial exterior walls was applied to multi-layered material and its effect was measured through full scale fire test and the possibility to secure fire safety of buildings by applying the fire spreading prevention structure to multi-layered material in future was presented.

  • This study aims to examine appropriate kinds of pan oil to release a cake from the pan coated with polyether sulphone and to prove the change of acid value and peroxide value during the process of baking. The major factor effecting the rate of release of the cakes from the pan was properties of the oils rather than the additives. The releasing rate appeared higher as the iodine value was lower. The highest releasing rate was found in the sample, which was made of coconut oil plus 2% of wax, 2% of lecithin. The changes of acid value of the pan oil between the beginning and after baking was little different. In contrast, Peroxide value showed a great change after baking.

  • The purpose of this development is to prevent accidents in the telephone poles caused by bird nests in advance. It is a sensor node installed on a telephone pole to recognize a bird's nest. This is to remove the bird before it builds a nest and lays eggs. It is in the system that recognizes the bird nest by the change of the distance when the sensor is first installed and the distance value measured thereafter. In this paper, we have designed and tested infrared rays with concrete, iron plate, wood, and plastic bag are targeted. This is an object that can be detected within a telephone pole was tested. The value of the spectrum detected by the spectral reflectance was obtained through a photodiode. Through the standard deviation graph of these values, it became possible to predict the target of the object and measure the distance. As a result of this experiment, target information (concrete, iron plate, wood, plastic bag) about dangerous substances in the telephone pole was acquired through the infrared sensor. Through this, it is expected that it will contribute to the establishment of a safe power grid and a coexistence environment with nature through power grid monitoring.

  • 본 논문에서는 사각판이 고정단을 경계조건으로 가진 상태에서 충격력을 받았을 때의 굽힘파 전파와 이에 의한 음향 방사가 특정 공간에서 이루는 음장을 유한 차분 시간 영역법을 이용하여 예측하였다. 이와 같은 시도는 향후 구조물에서의 진동과 음장 사이의 관계를 해석하는데 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다. 대상 시뮬레이션 모델은 한 쪽 끝이 철판으로 이루어진 직육면체의 공간이며 예측 결과를 실험값과 비교하였다. 예측 결과는 대체로 파형과 그 특성이 실험값과 잘 일치하였으나, 감쇠 알고리즘을 주파수 대역에 따라 달리 적용하지 못하였고, 사각 평판에서 충격력의 적용 범위가 모호하여, 파형의 크기에 차이가 있었다.

  • 한국오리협회와 농협중앙회는 5월2일 오리데이(5.2 Day)를 맞아 양재동 하나로 마트에서 대대적인 오리데이 행사와 오리고기 홍보를 실시하였다. 많은 사람들이 모인 가운데 오리데이 기념행사를 갖고 함께 시식하는 행사를 가졌고, 오리고기로 장식한 조형물 설치 및 52종 오리요리 전시회, 베이징덕, 철판요리 등 5천200여 명 분량의 오리요리 시식회, 한의사 박경호의 오리관련 한의학 특강 등이 펼쳐졌다. 최근 AI 발생으로 오리 등 가금류 소비가 많이 감소하고 있어 이날 행사장에서 오리고기의 경우 저항성이 뛰어나고 기운을 보강해 주는 음식으로 동의보감에 수록돼 있고, 'AI에 감염된 가금산물이라도 상온 $75^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 5분만 가열하면 바이러스가 모두 사멸되므로 익혀 먹으면 안전하다.'는 사실을 홍보했다.
