2002년 돼지콜레라 철원분리주의 병원성

  • 국내 축산관련 분야의 많은 기관과 단체들이 많은 인력과 예산을 투여하여 돼지콜레라 청정화 유지를 위해 노력하였으나 불행하게도 지난 2002년에는 철원에 이어 강화, 인천, 김포, 이천 등지에서 발생하여 양돈업계에 큰 피해를 준 바 있다. 이중 철원에서 발생된 돼지콜레라 바이러스의 병원성시험을 실시한 결과 전형적인 급성 돼지콜레라증상이 재현되어 임상증상과 병리소견을 개업수의사와 양돈관련자에게 홍보코자 한다.

SHRIMP Age Datings and Volcanism Times of the Igneous Rocks in the Cheolwon Basin, Korea (철원분지 화성암류의 SHRIMP 연령측정과 화산작용 시기)

  • Cheolwon Group in the Cheolwon Basin, which lies northwest of the Gyeonggi massif, has been correlated to the Yucheon Group in the Gyeongsang Basin, but its ages and volcanic times are defined to be considerately earlier than the other one. In this study, SHRIMP zircon U-Pb ages were determined from the igneous rocks in the Cheolwon Basin. The mean ages from zircons are $115.0{\pm}1.1Ma$ in rhyolite, and $111.24{\pm}0.85Ma$ and $109.1{\pm}1.1Ma$ in granite porphyry. The minimum age is 113 Ma in the Jijangbong Tuff. Such age in the rhyolite define the intrusion time of ring dykes, suggesting a caldera collapse following eruption of the Dongmakgol Tuff. Such age in the Jijangbong Tuff represent latest volcanism as postcaldera in the basin. The volcanic rocks in the basin were erupted during late Aptian, and are correlated to the Sindong Group in the Gyeongsang Basin. The plutonism in the basin occurred during $111.24{\pm}0.85Ma{\sim}109.1{\pm}1.1Ma$, following the volcanism. The age distribution of the analyzed zircons in the Jijangbong Tuff indicates the presence of foreign zircons derived from protoliths, regarding a wide span of zircon ages from Cretaceous to Jurassic, Triassic, early and late Protozoic, and Archean. The Archean age suggests the possible presence of the Archean protoliths with such age, which have not been exposed on the surface. The age distribution with wide span suggests that its vent is located in an area that several strata with different ages piled up and intercepted with some intrusives.

A Study on the Distributions of Minimum Temperature during January in the Central Region of South Korea: focused on Minimum Temperature at Cheorwon (기압배치형별 중부지방의 1월 최저기온 분포에 관한 연구: 철원의 최저기온을 중심으로)

  • This study aimed to analyze the characteristic of the distribution of minimum temperature during January in the central region of South Korea and to investigate causes for the occurrence of extreme minimum temperature in Cheorwon. January temperature distribution data which were collected from 25 weather stations in central area from 1991 to 2010 were investigated, and the difference of temperature between Cheorwon and the other stations in central region, such as Chuncheon, Hongcheon, Bonghwa, Daegwallyoung, Wonju and Jecheon were analyzed by the type of atmospheric pressure system. Daily mean temperature and mean of daily minimum temperature appear to be low at Cheorwon and at the sites in high altitudes, but the frequency of extreme cold wave such as below $-15^{\circ}C$ is also noticeable in Cheorwon. When the Siberian High has expanded and migratory anticyclone has moved onto the north of the Korean Peninsula, the temperature at Cheorwon is relatively low. Furthermore it shows a lesser difference between Cheorwon and the compared stations when the migratory anticyclone affected the area, even at basin like Bonghwa, Jecheon more lower than Cheorwon.

  • 현재 우리 농촌은 정부의 급격한 양정제도 개편과 정부의 허술한 대응으로 제2차 쌀대란에 직면해 있다. 뿐만아니라 농협은 쌀값 폭락으로 인한 책임과 부담을 농민 조합원에게 떠넘기기에 급급해있다. 그러나 강원도 철원의 동송 농협은 작년 대비 높은 가격(전국 최고 수준)과 많은 물량으로 쌀을 수매하고 있다. 또한, 쌀 재고량 급증이 심각한 사회 문제화 되고 있는데 동송 농협은 원료곡이 부족할 정도로 판매가 잘 되고 있고 수매 가격도 전국에서 최고가를 기록하고 있다. 이에 이번호에서는 철원 동송 농협이 전국 최고의 가격과 작년보다 많은 물량을 매입할 수 있었던 노하우를 알아보고 심각한 위기에 직면해 있는 우리 나라 쌀산업의 해법을 찾아보고자 한다.

  • 철원군은 군사문화유적지와 더불어 과거 태봉국의 도읍지로서 한 시대를 풍미했던 역사문화유산이 살아 숨 쉬고 있는 우리역사의 장이다. 또한 청정지역의 이미지는 생태 관광지로서의 가능성을 보여주고 있다. 이에 따라 본 고에서는 에코뮤지엄(ecomuseum)의 개념을 토대로 철원군의 지역문화자원을 활용하는 방안을 제시하려고 한다. 연구의 이론적 바탕이 될 에코뮤지엄은 기존의 박물관처럼 한정된 공간 내에 수집품을 모아놓고 관람객을 끌어들이는 것이 아니라 지역 전체를 하나의 박물관으로 구성하는 새로운 형태의 박물관이다. 따라서 지역의 문화유산, 생태 환경, 관광자원을 포함한 포괄적인 유,무형의 자원이 모두 에코뮤지엄의 요소가 될 수 있으며, 관람객은 주변 환경과 일체가 되어 직, 간접적인 체험을 공유한다. 지역 주민은 적극적인 역할을 수행함으로써 지속적으로 지역의 개발과 보존에 주체적으로 참여하게 된다. 이러한 관점에서, 지역의 다양한 문화자원을 바탕으로 한 에코뮤지엄은 철원군의 지속가능한 경제 활성화에도 기여하게 될 것이다.
