경산시험선 CBTC 시스템용 무선통신시스템 시험(2) (Analysis and Test of CBTC Wireless Communication System in KyungSan test Line (II))

  • Korean-Automated Guideway Transit (K-AGT) was successfully developed through Light Rail System Development Project. Since then, the domestic development rate of on-board signalling system of light rail has been improved up to 90% by Practical Utilization Project of Light Rail. After utilization project, furthermore, POSCO ICT has developed the wayside signalling system of CBTC, including wireless communication equipment. KRRI carried out the performance test of the wireless communication, interfacing and using the other CBTC equipments of KyungSan Test Line so as to see whether it conforms IEEE 802.11x, international communication standard in view of operational concept of CBTC. In this paper, we presents analysis results of roaming test while train runs.

  • 본 논문에서는 원형구조의 전파환경을 위한 경로손실을 다각형모델링과 수학적 모델링을 통해 분석하였다. 원형의 통신환경은 비교적 좁은 반경에 곡률이 거의 없고, 내부는 공기저항을 고려한 감압상태로 Ray-tracing 기법은 원형이라는 구조적 특징을 완벽히 적용하는데 문제가 있기 때문에 원에 가까운 다각형을 모델링하였다. 다각형 모델링 방법와 수학적 방법의 전파손실분석결과 반사횟수와 관계없이 유사한 전파손실성능을 확인하였다. 본 논문은 무선을 이용한 튜브 즉, 원형의 철도운영환경도 고려되고 있는 시점에서, 기존의 철도환경과 다른 환경에 대한 무선환경분석을 위한 기초자료로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • TETRA는 유럽 전자 통신 표준기구인 ETSI에서 개발한 D-TRS(Digital Trunked Radio System) 표준이다. 현재 전력 IT 무선기간망으로 TETRA가 선정되었다. 기존 배전 자동화 시스템은 CDMA(Code-Division Multiple Access), WCDMA(Wideband CDMA) 모뎀을 이용한 이동통신사 무선 네트워크를 이용하고 있다. 따라서 TETRA 네트워크로 변경에 따른 게이트웨이가 필요하다. 본 논문은 TETRA 네트워크를 이용한 산업용 전력 IT 프로토콜을 전송하기 위한 임베디드 리눅스 기반 게이트웨이 플랫폼을 제안한다.

  • The train configuration is based on one unit like basic 4 cars to multiple unit operation. Each unit has unique node such as train formation number. Some equipments(TC, CC) of TCMS are connected to the master TC through the LonWorks network. When the train is consist of multiple unit, TCMS has to implement quick network for data communication overall train. But a variable time delay is generated when it is performed communication with point to point type using train formation number. In this paper we propose new method to know the node information of adjacent unit. that is to add digital input signals notifying cab direction at any cabin. Also, we provide the optimized screen design that all collected information via network is displayed by each unit.

  • TECA (Terminal Cabin), the terminal device which offers the information to the driver about the condition of High Speed Train(KTX), analyzes the system of train and plays a role of corrective maintenance guideline to a driver when a breakdown occurs. It also supports the driver to decide the situation of the train by offering a necessary information, in communicating with MPU(Main Processor Unit). For Localization of TECA, it is necessary to analyze communication protocol between TECA and MPU. As a part of analysis, communication protocol between OBCS(on-board computer system) and add-on devices has analyzed for the first step. Also with protocol analyzer appropriate method was offered for TECA and MPU protocol analysis. Finally, by appling proposed method to the drivers consol suitability was verified.

  • The contact and messenger wire is important parts in the electric power system of the railroad. There are so many measurement method like voltage, current, scratch of surface, and glow longer of length. In this paper suggest real time monitering system of messenger wire so called RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) and this system includes CDMA module to transfer real time or saved data of memory to the end user directly who is in the long distance. The hyper terminal program of windows shows the downloaded data from RTU through CDMA communication and this data can be transferred to excel sheet easily.

  • CBTC(Communication-Based Train Control) system which is based on wireless communication can provide high density operation of the train using location tracking between ground and onboard train. It can also reduces maintenance expense because it does not require the ground equipment for tracking circuit and signal flag and so on. Recently, research and interest have been done on CBTC system. The high-speed trains up to 300km/h experience multi-path fading channel which bring about the performance degradation of wireless CBTC system. In this paper, we consider MIMO (Multi-Input Multi-Output) antenna-based CBTC system for trains with Alamoutip-type space-time diversity transmission for reliable communication. Also we model a channel considering practical environment and evaluate performance improvement of proposed CBTC system.

  • Establishing the realtime remote monitoring system of the moving test train is the important issue for the railway systems that provide comfort travel to the passengers. But it is not easy to transmit train's test data to remote site because the train runs tunnels. In this paper, we introduce the realtime monitoring system using wireless communication system which is installed in the test train. This system can provide both correct positions of unstable track and train's running status such as speed, kilopost and acceleration.

  • The most critical function of the Communication Based Train Control system is wayside and on-board Radio communication. Radio communication must be safely made without errors. The standards for CBTC has not been established yet, and research on Radio communication systems for use in Train control systems adopting CBTC system such as the magnetic levitation train must continue. This paper will discuss the characteristics of Radio communication technology currently used domestically such as GSM-R, IEEE 802.11, TETRA, MESH, and WiMAX/WiBro, and will investigate the potential possibility of applying them to Train control systems.
