Environment has formed characters of one society and the society has formed its characteristic cultural behaviors. Oppositely cultural behaviors make the characteristic products like environment and space products. It gives the idea that we can create cultural space by examining cultural characteristics. This research bases on the 5 cultural dimensions of Geert Hofstede to inspect cultural quality of Korea and the 10 cultural factors of Edward. T. Hall in order not to omit some part of cultural characters. From April 2004, KTX which is originated from TGV of France began toroll in Korea. It is interesting that the same interior of train is used by two different cultures. The method to find out the special quality of transportation culture of Korea passed 5 steps like following; 1) making a questionnaire to understand general concepts 2) observation to make dear what are the special behaviors in the interior of train 3) comparison valuation with marking sheet of the interiors of KTX and HSR in order to find out which space Korean people prefer 4) comparison of behaviors in the interior of KTX and TGV 5) Interviewing and surveying the opinions of passengers of KTX. With these methods it would be possible to seek out the characters, preferencesand needs for the interior space of train. There were remarkable things like following 1) importance of privacy from the other's eyes 2) seriousness of individual seat because of the short term transportation 3) necessity of continuous information because of 'Uncertainty Avoidance Culture' 4) absence of moving 5) requirement of bright and comfortable interior like one's inner room 6) preference to take a seat as a group with their friends or family due to 'Collective Culture' 7) self-defense and self-protection of one's baggage because of 'Uncertainty Avoidance Culture'. With these discoveries this research suggests guidelines to design interior of train of Korea.

This study draws from the hands-on experience of designing railway routes that pass very close to the Cultural Heritage Protection Areas. There have been many cases where the rail route plan is rejected during the deliberation process of National Cultural Heritage Alteration although it has been selected as the best alternative after much time and expenses are spent and public consensus is obtained. When the route has to be realigned, this often leads to project delay and possible counter protest from the local public. In an effort to prevent such problems from occurring over again, this study looks at the projects where railways pass close to the Cultural Heritage Protection Areas. We examine the nature of public protests and the route selection process that reflects these protests into consideration. Based on the experiences drawn from these cases, we offer a few suggestions that we hope will contribute to the success of the project. The suggestions include the right timing for the application of Cultural Heritage Alteration and route alignment technique.

The railroad that represents modern industry began appearing in 1899. However, after the steam locomotive that provided water stopped the service, the water towers within the railroad station were useless. Suggestions presented in this study for activating the environment around the water towers that are designated as the cultural properties results are as followed: 1) The place where people can experience the vestiges of Korean War and the region that different novels accommodated. 2) A plaza 3) A facility for exhibition of industry inheritance and local products 4) A local landmark 5) Reproduction of the historical steam locomotive and water tower Local residents should participate in the activation process. And the designer should consider the environmental context. In addition, the activation of water towers should be designed under an urban plan.

In this paper, we review the regulations relating to railway safety and station workers interviewed, eight urban rail accidents decreased operating agencies through the prevention research currently being conducted into the (Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation City, Seoul Metro, Incheon traffic mortality, etc.) the root cause for the lack of aggressive prevention measures performed on the difficulties related regulations, organizational culture and work environment, prevention of negative operating authority derived in three improvements were obtained through this direction. First proposed urban railway safety ever buy Conduct production, utilization and operating agencies college safety assistant suggests directions for safety training, organizational culture and work environment improvements in senior management. Finally, active accident prevention campaigns, and provide direction to increase the educational participation of guests. Improvement for such accidents would decrease is thought to play a role in the prevention of future operating agency established when the guidelines.

The three-dimensional precision numerical analysis was performed using the finite element model applied with the railway track model consisting of rails, sleepers, and track elastic springs(ballast, rail pad). As a result of analyzing the track deformation level of the existing tracks due to the excavation work adjacent to the railway facilities, it was found that the track irregularity evaluation criteria (allowed values) of both conventional and high-speed railways lines were satisfied. Based on the numerical analysis using the track model, it was analyzed that the results of the prediction of the track irregularity due to the excavation work and the level of the track deformation occurring at the actual site could be approximated as closely as possible.

This paper considers the case study of the change management and business innovation of the rail construction agency fer overcoming the crisis it faced in early stage. It will provide the suitable innovation techniques of each change stage. Also, each phase it evaluated the change degree of organization culture especially by the six box model of Weisbord and the Quinn's model. For the Period of Change, organization culture will grow about 10% and harmonize with 4 competitive organization culture; community, innovation, hierarchy, product. Only, it discovered that the difference of the current culture and rho organizer' wish is considerable by the Quinn's model. It wilt be able to describe the innovation fatigue which the organizers feel in the change of organization culture. For the successful innovation, it wilt have to be managed properly and the new innovation technique will have to be developed for solving.
