  • Three reinforced concrete rigid frames and infilled rigid frames with new retrofitting system were tested under both vertical and cyclic loadings, Experimental programs were carried out to evaluate and improve the seismic performance of such test specimens, such as the hysteretic behavior, the maximum horizontal strength, crack propagation, and ductility etc. under load reversals. All the specimens were modeled in one-third scale size. For specimens(RFHPC, RFAR) designed by the improving of seismic performance of the rigid frame using the high ductile fiber composite PC panel and ALC panel system, load-carrying capacities were increased $1.45{\sim}2.28$ times, and hysteretic behavior was very stable during the final tests in comparison with the standard specimen(SRF).

For specimens(RWAHC, RWXHC) designed by the improving of seismic performance using the high ductile fiber composite mortar, anchoring, and advanced detailing system for the reinforced concrete shear wall load-carrying capacities were increased $1.1{\sim}1.22$ times in comparison with the standard specimen(SRW).

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the performance of slab-beam-column subassemblage in the Ordinary Moment Frame(OMF). For this purpose, 3-story building was designed according to UBC and ACI building code(ACI 318-99) and the subassemblages of in the first story were constructed. The subassemblages were classified into interior and exterior. Each interior and exterior subassemblage is modeled by the 2/3 scale experimental specimens. All the specimens have the transverse beam and the columns on the slab have the lap splice as the typical exterior and interior slab-beam-column subassemblage. The interior subassemblage was tested under the constant axial force, while the exterior subassemblage was tested under the fluctuating axial force. Based on the results of the experiments, the performance of each subassemblage is evaluated and the failure mode is investigated.

  • 철근콘크리트 구조물에 적용할 수 있는 지진하중에 대한 간략 모멘트 재분배 방법을 개발하였다. 강기둥-약보 거동을 보이는 골조에 대하여 모멘트 재분배에 의한 하중전달 및 변형 메커니즘을 분석하였다. 그 결과를 토대로 보의 부모멘트 단부에서 허용되는 모멘트 재분배율과 보의 소성회전변형 사이의 정량적 관계를 정립하였다. 제안된 방법은 부재강성, 중력하중, 모멘트재분배, 벽체 및 보-기둥 접합부에 의한 강체거동 등에 의하여 보의 양단부 소성힌지에 요구되는 회전변형요구량을 평가할 수 있다.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the characteristics of elastic and inelasitc behavior of ductile moment-resisting reinforced concrete frame subhected to reversed lateral loading such as eqrthquake excitations. For this purpose, a 2-bay 2-story R.C. plane frame with seismic detail was designed and one 1/2.5-scale subassemblage was manufactured according to the required similitude law. Then the reversed load test under the displacement control was performed statically to this subassemblage. Finally the results of this test were analysed regarding to (1) the design load vs actual strength, (2) degradation in stiffness and strength, (3) failure mode or main plastic mechanism in energy dissipation, (4) local deformations.

  • This study presents the techniques to manufacture the model concrete and model reinforcement for the 1/5-scale 3-story reinforced concrete frame. The used model concrete has sufficient workability but shows a little lower strength than expected model steel was made of commercial $\phi$3.2mm and $\phi$2.0mm wire by using deforming device and vacuum tube electric furnace. The yield strength can be simulated but it was difficult to simulate the other properties. The load cell was specially manufactured to measure the shear force in the columns of the first story. The carrying frame and the hinge adapter of artificial mass are explained. The special problems in the process of construction of model are also dressed.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the behavior of a 1/5-scale 3-story nonductile reinforced concrete frame subjected to earthquake excitation. For this purpose, Taft N21E earthquake accelerogram was simulated by using 3m${\times}$5m shaking table. When the input acceleration is compared to that of output, it can be found that simulation of shaking table is excellent. From the results of test with Taft N21E earthquake accelerogram adjusted to peak ground acceleration(PGA) 0.06g and 0.12g(maximum acceleration in korea seismic code) the model responded in elastic behavior and it is found that the existing building in our country are safe against the levels of PGA 0.06g and 0.12g.

  • The nonlinear analysis was perforned for a 2-bay 2-story moment-resisting reinforced concrete plane frame with seismic detail using KDARC 2D program. The analytical models consist of the material model, the member model, the hysteretic model, and the damage model etc. The conclusion based on the results of analysis is as following. : (1) Story shear-displacement relationship is similar to the experiment result but from the energy point of view, the analysis relationship is similar to the experiment result but from the energy point of view, the analysis result was different from the experiment result. (2) Plastic hinges were found to occur mainly in beams at first story while all the columns had plastic hinges throughout the structure. (3) Failure mode is a little different from experiment result in the yielding mechanism. (4) Damage index isabout 0.25. This means that the degree of damage is moderate and can be repairable.

  • RC frames built prior to the advent of the philosophy of ductile concrete is one type of existing construction susceptible to damage. Strengthening and stiffening of such frames has been accomplished by infilled frames with cast-in-place, reinforced concrete walls. Placement of CIP shear walls within strategic bays of a structure appears to be a logical and economical method to strengthen a reinforced concrete frame and to stiffen a building in order to reduce architectural and mechanical damage. This study investigates the seismic performance of cast-in place infilled shear wall within existing frames. The object of this study is to clarify the seismic capacity and characteristics in the hysteretic behavior of bare frame, CIP infilled shear wall and CIP infilled wall reinforced diagonal bars.

ECC 날개벽 요소로 보강된 비내진상세를 갖는 철근콘크리트 골조의 내진성능 (The Seismic Performance of Non-Ductile Reinforced Concrete (RC) Frames with Engineered Cementitious Composite (ECC) Wing Panel Elements)

  • 본 논문에서는 고인성 시멘트 복합체(ECC)가 적용된 날개벽 요소의 면 접합방식에 따른 평가를 실시하였다. 또한 비내진상세를 갖는 RC 골조에 ECC날개벽 요소 보강하여 보강 유무에 따른 내진성능평가를 실시하였다. 면 접합 방법에 따른 거동 특성을 비교하기 위하여 2면 접합은 상 하부 보에 3면 접합은 상 하부 보 및 기둥에 접합하여 실험을 실시 하였다. 또한 비내진상세를 갖는 기존 구조체와의 일체로 거동하는 합성거동을 위해 3면 접합 방식으로 ECC날개벽 요소 보강을 실시하였다. ECC날개벽 요소 실험과 골조 실험은 점증되는 층간변위에 따라 2회씩 반복가력하여 실험을 진행하였다. 실험 결과 ECC 날개벽 요소 실험체의 경우 3면 접합이 2면 접합보다 우수한 내진성능 나타내었다. 각각의 실험체는 우수한 재료 특성으로 인하여 미세한 다수의 균열이 ECC날개벽 요소 전면에 폭넓게 분포하였다. 또한 보통 콘크리트와 달리 최대강도 이후 연성적인 거동을 나타내었으며, 이에 우수한 에너지소산능력을 나타내었다. ECC날개벽 요소를 보강한 실험체와 기존 골조에서는 ECC날개벽 요소 보강에 따른 최대강도 이후 연성적인 거동을 나타내었다. 이에 따라 에너지소산능력이 증가하였으며, 강성저하 또한 완만한 곡선을 나타내며 기존 골조보다 우수한 내진특성을 나타내었다. 이에 ECC 날개벽 요소의 보강이 비내진상세를 갖는 구조체에 우수한 내진 특성을 부여하는 판단된다.
