Design and Control of an Omni-directional Cleaning Robot Based on Landmarks (랜드마크 기반의 전방향 청소로봇 설계 및 제어)

  • This paper presents design and control of an 'Omni-directional Cleaning Robot (OdCR)' which employs omni-wheels at three edges of its triangular configuration. Those omni-wheels enable the OdCR to move in any directions so that lateral movement is possible. For OdCR to be localized, a StarGazer sensor is used to provide accurate position and heading angle based on landmarks on the ceiling. In addition to that, ultrasonic sensors are installed to detect obstacles around OdCR's way. Experimental studies are conducted to test the functionality of the system.

An Energy Performance Evaluation of UFAD System under the Various Conditions of Thermal Load (실내 부하조건에 따른 바닥공조 시스템의 에너지 성능 평가)

  • The present study has been conducted for evaluating and comparing the performance of the underfloor air distribution system(UFAD) and the ceiling based air distribution system(CBAD) under cooling condition. Simulations and experiments were carried out for verifying the model by TRNSYS program about UFAD and CBAD. The results of simulation for various conditions of thermal load are summarized as followings. UFAD had an advantage for making thermal comfort because of lower temperature of the floor surface. Moreover, UFAD showed lower fan power about 30~50% than CBAD under the same conditions of thermal load. The energy saving rates of UFAD were increased to 17.7% in proportion to the thermal load on unoccupied zone(lighting). Ultimately, additional investigations should be done for analyzing optimized operating conditions of UFAD with considering the thermal performance of building envelop and the thermal load.

Evaluation of Cooling Energy Saving through Applying Aisle Partition System on a Data Center Server Room (파티션 시스템 적용을 통한 기존 데이터센터 서버실의 냉방 에너지 절감 성능평가)

  • In this study, a computer simulation of the three types of air distribution systems, open type system, aisle partition system and aisle containment system, to evaluate the applicability of the aisle partition system on a data center server room. The variables of the simulation were the height and location of the partition fixed on the top server rack. The energy efficiency of the air distribution systems were confirmed to be excellent in the order of the aisle containment system, aisle partition system, and open type system. In the cold aisle partition system, the height of the partition that can be effective in saving cooling energy by obstructing sufficient air recirculation was found to be more than 0.9m. In the hot aisle partition system, the height of the partition was found to be more than 0.8m.

  • 본 논문에서는 전동차용 전기식 플러그인 도어를 구동하기 위해 영구자석형 무정류자 직류전동기(Brushless DC Motor)를 적용하였다. BLDC 전동기의 속도제어를 위해 사용되어지는 홀센서 신호를 속도제어로만 사용하는 것이 아니라 이러한 홀센서 파형을 검출, 위치제어를 위한 신호로 활용하였으며 실제로 도어시스템에 적용, 실험하여 그 가능성을 확인하였다.

  • 목뼈는 척주 중에서 두개골과 등뼈(흉추) 사이의 부분으로 목 부분을 형성하는 뼈 구조물이다. 위치는 머리뼈(두개골) 밑에서부터 갈비뼈가 붙는 등뼈(흉추)의 윗부분까지를 이른다. 본 논문에서는 목을 구부려 턱이 가슴에 닿도록 하는 굽힘과, 목을 들어 천장을 보는 것처럼 자세를 취하는 폄에 대하여 각을 측정한다. 굽힘의 각도는 $45{\sim}50^{\circ}$가 기본이며 최대의 가동 범위는 $80{\sim}90^{\circ}$이다. 폄의 각도 또한 $40^{\circ}{\sim}50^{\circ}$가 기본이며 정상은 $70^{\circ}$로 제한된다. 굽힘과 폄의 각도가 기본에 못 미치거나 통증을 유발할 때에는 능동과 수동 돌림의 치료법으로 치료하도록 한다.

Acoustical Characteristics of System Air Conditioners Installed in the Ceiling (천장형 시스템 에어컨의 음향 특성)

  • In this study acoustical characteristics of system air conditioner in different ceiling systems was investigated in anechoic and real conditions. Same Types of air conditioners were installed in two different rooms. The results showed that motor's tonal component was emphasized at near fart of air blast blower in the exposed type while fan's harmonic component is emphasized rather in the enclosed type. This confirms tile result of acoustical intensity mapping which showed that Intensity level of 125Hz octave band increased in the exposed type while there was no noticeable difference at the frequency band in the enclosed type.

  • As Remodeling is proceed in the limited condition that is utilization of existing resource, the selection of remodeling objects and scope are affected by the correlation of building systems. Unexpected problems have occurred in construction phase by lack of the consideration about correlation of building systems; increasing of cost, delaying of schedule etc. Therefore, this research suggests the Building System Correlation Diagram Model and the direction of cost estimation .for selecting alternative reasonably in remodeling design process.

  • The QR codes are printed in sticker form and have many advantages in terms of location recognition accuracy or installation cost compared to the location recognition method, which attaches artificial indicators to ceilings or walls for low-cost location recognition, and the way in which the location is recognized by vision, to create robots that are generally applicable to all industries. In this study, it is shown that the two-dimensional square bar code applied to the robot within 3 mm of error allows the robot to be made with high accuracy and accurate location control. In particular, the fusion research, combined with various engineering technologies, describes QR code-aware indoor mobile robot control research centered on the construction of the system.

바닥 급기 공조의 전망

  • 바낙 공기 급기(UFAD, underfloor air distribution)는 사무실과 상업 건물의 공조를 위하여 바닥 하부 공간을 사용하는 혁신적인 기술이다. 북미에서는 UFAD가 기존 천장 공기 급기 방식에 비하여 많은 장점을 지니므로 그 수요가 날로 증가하고 있다. 잘 설계된 UFAD 시스템은 다음과 같은 장점을 지닌다. - 건물의 용도 변경에 따픈 유연성이 우수하므로 건물의 생애 주기 비용을 감소시킨다. - 개별 쾌적성 제어가 가능하므로 온열 쾌적성, 거주자의 만족도 그리고 생산성을 향상시킨다. - 거주자주변에 직접 선선한 공기를 공급하므로 환기 효율, 실내 공기질 그리고 건강 상태를 향상시킨다. - 이코노마이저 운전, 온도 성층화 그리고 낮은 정합 운전에 의하여 에너지 비용을 감소시킨다. - 설비 공간이 축소되고 표준 철골 구조에서는 콘크리트 구조체 변경이 가능하므로 새 건축 공법에서는 충고를 감소시킬 수 있다. 1995년까지만 해도 UFAD는 파격적인 설계 기법이라고 여겨졌지만, 이제 설계자와 건축업자들은 2004년까지 신축되는 사무용 건축품의 35%는 바닥을 높인 기법이 적용되며 이 중 반 정도가 UFAD를 채택할 것이라고 예측하고 있다. 2000년 2억불이라고 추정되던 바닥을 높이는 건축의 시장 규모가 2004년에는 최소 10억불이 되리라고 예측된다. UFAD는 기본 연구에 의한 정립된 표준화된 설계 기법과 지침이 아직 마련되지 않았음에도 불구하고 현재 설계, 시공되고 있다. 이라한 경향은 펄수적인 연구가 수행되어 관련 업계가 지식과 경험을 충분히 쌓기 전까지는 계속될 전망이다. 본고는 시스템 설계와 운영의 주요한 특징, 기존 방식과 비교하여 지니고 있는 잠재적인 장점, 한계와 기술 개발의 필요성, UFAD 기술 개발을 위하여 계속적으로 요구되는 연구 분야 등을 서술함으로써 현재 UFAD 기술에 대한 평가를 한다.

A Gear Shape of a Midwater Trawl and Its Change (중층트롤의 어구형상과 그 변화)

  • How to estimate the shape of trawl net and ropes of a midwater trawl on full scale was described by implementing a three-dimensional semi-analytic treatment of a towing cable system with the field experiments obtained with the Scanmar system. The shape of trawl net from wingend to the beginning of codend was assumed to be of form $\chi$$^2$/ae$^2$+ y$^2$/be$^2$=(z - c)$^2$/c$^2$, and that of the ropes attached behind otter boards be of form yr = $A\chi$rB. In case of warp length 300m long, the volume of trawl net, the ratio of net height to net width at the mouth of the trawl net, and the inclination angle of float rope were estimated according to the change of towing speed. The volume and the distance between wingtips were increased with increasing towing speed. And the inclination angle of float (or ground) rope was slightly decreased with increasing towing speed.
