Prediction of the Static Deflection Profiles on Suspension Bridge by Using FBG Strain Sensors (FBG 변형률센서를 이용한 현수교의 정적 처짐형상 추정)

  • For most structural evaluation of bridge integrity, it is very important to measure the geometric profile, which is a major factor representing the global behavior of civil structures, especially bridges. In the past, because of the lack of appropriate methods to measure the deflection profile of bridges on site, the measurement of deflection has been restricted to just a few discrete points along the bridge, and the measuring points have been limited to the locations installed with displacement transducers. Thus, some methods for predicting the static deflection by using fiber optic strain sensors has been applied to simply supported bridges. In this study, a method of estimating the static deflection profile by using strains measured from suspension bridges was proposed. Based on the classical deflection theory of suspension bridges, an equation of deflection profile was derived and applied to obtain the actual deflection profile on Namhae suspension bridge. Field load tests were carried out to measure strains from FBG strain sensors attached inside the stiffening girder of the bridge. The predicted deflection profiles were compared with both precise surveying data and numerical analysis results. Thus, it is found that the equation of predicting the deflection profiles proposed in this study could be applicable to suspension bridges and the FBG strain sensors could be reliable on acquiring the strain data from bridges on site.

Deflection Behavior of Concrete Members Reinforced with FRP Bars (FRP-보강근 콘크리트 부재의 처짐 거동)

  • The effective moment of inertia revising the expression proposed by Branson has been used in ACI 440.1R-06 design guide for calculating deflections of FRP-reinforced concrete members. However, its adequacy has been questioned by several researchers. The propose of this study is to provide fundamental data for the rational design of deflection by the comparison of the experimental results obtained from twelve specimens with rectangular section and nine specimens with T-shaped section to the theoretical results. As a result, it found that calculated results for specimens with rectangular section were underestimated comparing to test results, while calculated results for specimens with T-shaped section were overestimated comparing to test results.

  • 본 연구에서는 비교적 강성이 약한 볼 엔드밀 공구에 있어서 처짐으로 인한 그 가공 특성을 알기 위하여, 변화된 칩 두께 및 처짐 모델로부터 절삭력을 예측하며 또한 절삭력에 의한 공구의 처짐으로 인하여 공구의 플랭크 부위와 공작물간의 발생하 는 간섭 특성을 고찰하고, 이러한 특성이 절삭성과 가공 오차에 미치는 영향을 실험을 통하여 분석하여 본다.

  • In case of calculation of an immediate deflection according to EC2, a curvature and average curvature are calculated by reflecting tension stiffening effect. In this study, tension stiffening effects according to MC90 and EC2 were considered, and an immediate deflection was calculated. And also, it was compared to results in KCI provision and experimental data. In results, it has difference around 8~15% with respect to tension stiffening effect, but all of them predict well for the load-deflection behavior after yielding state.

  • 보는 토목, 건축, 기계, 선박, 항공 등 구조공학 분야에서 가장 기본이 되는 구조단위이므로 그에 대한 동적해석 특히 자유진동에 관한 많은 연구들이 발표되고 있다. 이제까지 이러한 연구들은 사항중으로 인한 정적 초기처짐의 영향을 고려하지 않은 논문들이다. 최근 재료과학의 발달로 고강도의 재료가 출현하고 따라서 세장비가 매우 큰 구조물의 시공이 가능하게 되어 정적 처짐이 다소 큰 구조물에서도 정적 안전성을 확보할 수 있게 되었다. 그러나 이러한 경우에 정적 초기처짐은 구조물의 동적거동에 영향을 줄 것으로 생각된다. 본 연구는 문헌[7]에서 유도된 편미분방정식을 이용하여 사하중에 의한 정적 초기처짐을 갖는 보의 자유진동을 지배하는 상미분방정식을 유도하고 이를 수치해석하여 고유진동수와 진동형을 산출하는데 연구목적이 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 열차와 교량의 상호작용과 주행속도에 의해 결정되어지는 진동지속시간과 차체연직가속도 증폭효과를 고려하여 철도교량의 진동사용성 허용처짐을 제시하고자 하였다. 열차가 교량을 통과할 때의 처짐 형상을 사인파로 가정하고 열차와 교량의 상호작용을 진동전달함수로 표현하여 철도교량의 진동 사용성 허용처짐을 유도하였다. 그리고 진동지속시간을 고려하기 위해 연직가속도 허용기준으로서 진동지속시간을 고려한 교량구조물의 진동사용성기준을 사용하였다. 매개변수연구를 통하여 열차 주행속도의 증가에 비례하여 차체연직가속도는 증가하지만 교량최대변위의 변화는 미미함이 확인됨으로 인하여 차체연직가속도 증가와 동반하여 연직가속도 허용기준역시 증가하는 것을 보정할 필요가 있을 것으로 판단하였다. 따라서 전개된 철도교량의 진동사용성 허용처짐식에 매개변수연구를 통하여 가정한 가속도 증폭계수를 적용하여 열차의 증속에 의한 가속도증폭효과를 고려하였다.

Body Type of 20's Male (20대 성인남성의 체형)

  • 본 연구에서는 신체밀착형 의복의 유행으로 맞음새가 우수한 의복의 중요성이 부각되고 있는 20대 나성을 대상으로, Size Korea의 제 7차 인체치수조사 계측데이터를 분석하여 전신 체형의 특성을 알아보고, 전신 체형을 유형화하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 20대 전반 남성의 의복 제작에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 20대 남성의 체형은 4개로 분류되었다. 유형 1은 둘레 및 너비요인의 적재량이 높고, 몸통길이와 발목/종아리 굵기, 엉덩이처짐 요인 높이 요인의 적재량이 낮은 '짧고 굵은 몸통새다리 체형'이다. 유형 2는 어깨너비와 길이, 몸통길이의 적재량이 높고, 둘레 및 너비와 어깨처짐 요인의 적재량이 낮으며, 높이요인의 적재량이 높은 '가는 역삼각형 체형'이다. 유형 3은 발목/종아리 굵기 요인의 적재량이 높고, 높이요인, 둘레 및 너비와 몸통길이 요인의 적재량이 낮은 '짧고 가는 몸통 굵은 다리 체형'이다. 유형 4는 높이요인과 엉덩이처짐, 어깨처짐 요인의 적재량이 높고 어깨너비와 길이 요인의 적재량이 낮은 '긴 삼각형 체형'이다.

Quality of Departure Time Based On-line Link Travel Time Estimates (구간통행속도 추정을 위한 고속도로 검지기자료 처리기법 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the quality of on-line departure time-based link travel time estimates. For this, accuracy (i.e. estimation error) and timeliness (i.e. degree of time lag) are proposed as MOE of the quality of on-line link travel time estimates. Then the relationship between quality of link travel time estimates and link length and level of congestion is analyzed. It was found that there is trade-off between the accuracy and timeliness of link travel time estimates. The estimation error was modeled to consist of two components: one is systematic error and the other is mean square error which reflects level of congestion. further, time lag was again segmented into three parts for the analysis purpose. There are minimum one, congestion-related one, and update interval-related one. From the real-world data using AVI system, it was revealed that regardless of the link length and level of congestion, 10 minutes of time lag occurs in general.

A Study on Normal Range of Surface Deflection for Epoxy Asphalt Pavement using Light Weight Deflectormeter (LWD를 활용한 에폭시 아스팔트 포장의 정상 표면처짐 범위 연구)

  • In this study, the resilient modulus test and Light Weight Deflectormeter (LWD) test were conducted to simulate the moving vehicle load for the evaluation of the internal failure of epoxy asphalt pavement. The Measured displacement in the resilient modulus test of epoxy asphalt concrete showed very little residual deformation under repeated loads unlike the conventional asphalt. Therefore, the test results were evaluated as a normal state due to its similarity with elastic deformation. The deflection results from the resilient modulus tests were converted to the surface deflection modulus and the normal range of surface deflection modulus was estimated applying LWD measurement of 1 SIGMA level. Internal failure of pavements were estimated using the suspicious failure range at $60^{\circ}C$ and hysteresis. Internal moisture penetration and a decrease in bonding were observed in partial areas at $140{\mu}m$ of surface deflection. However, the areas showed inflection points in the hysteresis. Field investigation by suggested criterion indicated a high degree of accuracy.

The Displacement Limit at the End of an Approach Slab for a Railway Bridge with Ballastless Track (콘크리트궤도 부설 교량의 접속슬래브 단부 처짐한도에 관한 연구)

  • The transition area between a bridge and an earthwork is one of the weakest area of track because of the track geometry deterioration caused unequal settlement of backfill of abutment. In case of a ballastless track, the approach slab could be installed to prevent such a phenomenon. But, if there is occurred the inclined displacement on the approach slab by a settlement of the foundation or formation, the track is also under the inclined displacement. And this defect causes reducing the running stability of a vehicle, the riding comfort of passengers, and increasing the track deteriorations by excessive impact force acting on the track. In this study, parametric studies were performed to investigate the displacement limit on the approach slab to avoid such problems. The length and the amount of unequal settlement of approach slab were adopted as parameter for numerical analysis considering vehicle-track interaction. Car body accelerations, variations of wheel force, stresses in rail, and uplift forces induced on fastener clip were investigated. From the result, resonable settlement limit on the end of an approach slab according to slab length was suggested.
