In this study, we found the optimal manufacturing conditions of livestock manure sludge RDF with the oil-drying method. We performed oil evaporation, oil drying and pelletizing of the sludge to evaluate the value of the product (sludge RDF), and measured the performance of the product using calorimeter and PXRF equipment. Also, we conducted the calorie comparison test between sludge RDF manufactured in this study and wood RDF generally used in the field. Experimental results showed that 30g of the sludge treated by vegetable oil at $130^{\circ}C$ for 25 minutes were the optimal conditions to make the sludge RDF (considering the aspects of eco-friendly and mass production). The caloric value of the sludge RDF manufactured in this study was 5211kcal/kg which is higher than that of wood RDF used widely in the market. Finally, PXRF results showed sludge RDF contains no heavy metals with the exception of sulfur. Therefore, we recommend more study about the sulfur control process for future development of the industrial manufacturing process.
This study identified degradation properties by temperature stress with Araldite$^{(R)}$ AY103-1/HY956 used for ceramics. Tensile and compressive strength of durability increased for 6,480 hours at temperature of $34{\sim}45^{\circ}C$. In stability of external stress and temperature, compressive strength is superior to tensile strength, it requires conservation plans considering strength properties and stress of restoration materials. The tensile shear strength of adhesion properties decreased for 4,320 hours at temperature of $40{\sim}60^{\circ}C$. In ceramics with porosity, environments under isothermal-isohumidity are important because interfacial properties of adherend are concerned with performance variation. Glossiness decreased for 6,480 hours at temperature of $34{\sim}45^{\circ}C$ and color difference increased. Gloss stability was superior and color stability was weak, which requires improvement of optical properties. In artifacts on display in museums, there is concern about temperature rise on restoration materials by lighting therefore, it needs to minimize change in physical properties by exposure environments.

Sludge produced from water treatment plants contains plenty of aluminum due to addition of coagulants, polyaluminum chloride(PACI) which has been widely used in most of water treatment plants. however. the whole of PACI is imported from other countries. In this research. the effective methods for recycling PACI from sludge of water treatment plants were developed and evaluated. Aluminum chloride hexahydrate($AlCl_3{\cdot}6H_2O$) was obtained by sparging HCl gas aluminum extracted from sludge using hydrochloric acid (HCI). This aluminum chloride hexahydrate was solidified by decomposition at $180^{\circ}C$. and dissolved in water to produce PACI. The optimum extraction rate was obtained at the condition of 10 minutes of reaction time. $105^{\circ}C$ of reaction temperature. 27.65%(W/W) of HCI concentration. The KS experiment proved that manufactured aluminum chloride hexahydrate was 98.7% degree and the recycled PACI coagulants agreed with the KS standard. The optimum temperature of decomposition was $180^{\circ}C$ and the basicity of the PACI was decided upon the extent of decomposition The compared experiments between purchased coagulant and manufactured coagulant presented that both coagulants had same performance for turbidity, DOC, $UV_{254}$ absorbance. and chlorophyll-a.

In this paper, we proposed a mobile phone payment system using light signal containing payment related information. The digicard system we proposed creates virtual mobile card such as credit numbers and the created information is loaded in mobile phone. The virtual card information should be changed to pulse signal by light signal devices of mobile phone and the specific digicard system reader is able to read light signal. In recent years, a mobile phone payment system has been developed in order to provide user's convenience. But the mobile phone payment system has problems such as the production costs and complex and large size. In order to solve the aforementioned problems, we proposed mobile phone payment system being implemented by updating software without additional hardware modules. Therefore it is possible to apply the proposed digicard system to all kinds of mobile phone. Also encryption module is implemented to solve the problem of the security and privacy. According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a mobile phone payment system using a light signal containing payment-related information, comprising: a mobile phone; a photo receiver: and a control server.
As the research on home network technologies, sensor network technologies, and ubiquitous network technologies makes rapid progresses, wireless ad-hoc network have attracted a lot of attention. A wireless mobile ad-hoc network is a temporary network formed by a collection of wireless mobile nodes without the aid of any existing network infrastructure or centralized administration, and it is suitable for ubiquitous computing environments. In this paper, we suggest an extension scheme of a wireless mobile ad-hoc network based on limited multiple paths source routing protocol. This scheme reduces the overhead of route re-establishment and re-registration by maintaining link/node non-disjoint multiple paths between mobile hosts in a wireless mobile ad-hoc network or a mobile host in a wireless mobile ad-hoc network and a base station supporting fixed network services. By maintaining multiple paths, our scheme provides short end-to-end delay and is reliable extension scheme of a wireless mobile ad-hoc network to a fixed network. In this paper, our simulations show that our scheme outperforms existing schemes with regards to throughput and end-to-end delay. Also we show that our scheme outperforms multi-paths approach using disjoint routes with regards to routing overhead.
Mobile Internet Device (MID) allows users to flexibly use various forms of wireless internet such as Wi-Fi, GSM, CDMA, and 3G. Using such Internet, MID users can utilize application services. MID usage is expected to grow due to the benefits of portability, Internet accessibility, and other convenience. However, it has resource constraints such as limited CPU power, small memory size, limited battery life, and small screen size. Consequently, MIDs are not capable to hold large-sized complex applications and to process a large amount of data in memory. An effective solution to remedy these limitations is to develop cloud services for the required application functionality, to deploy them on the server side, and to let MID users access the services through internet. A major concern on running cloud services for MIDs is the potential problems with low Quality of Service (QoS) due to the characteristics of MIDs. Even measuring the QoS of such services is more technically challenging than conventional quality measurements. In this paper, we first identify the characteristics of MIDs and cloud services for MIDs. Based on these observations, we derive a number of quality attributes and their metrics for measuring QoS of mobile services. A case study of applying the proposed quality model is presented to show its effectiveness and applicability.

Paraphrasing is the act of writing a text using other words without altering the meaning. Paraphrases can be used in many fields of natural language processing. In particular, paraphrases can be incorporated in machine translation in order to improve the coverage and the quality of translation. Recently, the approaches on paraphrase extraction utilize bilingual parallel corpora, which consist of aligned sentence pairs. In these approaches, paraphrases are identified, from the word alignment result, by pivot phrases which are the phrases in one language to which two or more phrases are connected in the other language. However, the word alignment is itself a very difficult task, so there can be many alignment errors. Moreover, the alignment errors can lead to the problem of selecting incorrect pivot phrases. In this study, we propose a method in paraphrase extraction that discriminates good pivot phrases from bad pivot phrases. Each pivot phrase is weighted according to its reliability, which is scored by considering the lexical and part-of-speech information. The experimental result shows that the proposed method achieves higher precision and recall of the paraphrase extraction than the baseline. Also, we show that the extracted paraphrases can increase the coverage of the Korean-English machine translation.
This paper proposes a method that extracts characteristics of cracks such as length, thickness and direction from a concrete slab surface image with image processing techniques. These techniques extract the cracks from the concrete surface image in variable conditions including bad image conditions) using the ART2-based RBF network to recognize the dominant directions -45 degree, 45 degree, horizontal and vertical) of the extracted cracks from the automatically calculated specifications like the lengths, directions and widths of the cracks. Our proposed extraction algorithms and analysis of the concrete cracks used a Robert operation to emphasize the cracks, and a Multiple operation to increase the difference in brightness between the cracks and background. After these treatments, the cracks can be extracted from the image by using an iterated binarization technique. Noise reduction techniques are used three separate times on this binarized image, and the specifications of the cracks are extracted form this noiseless image. The dominant directions can be recognized by using the ART2-based RBF network. In this method, the ART2 is used between the input layer and the middle layer to learn, and the Delta learning method is used between the middle layer and the output layer. The experiments using real concrete images showed that the cracks were effectively extracted, and the Proposed ART2-based RBF network effectively recognized the directions of the extracted cracks.
The pyramid graph is well known in parallel processing as a interconnection network topology based on regular square mesh and tree architectures. The enhanced pyramid graph is an alternative architecture by exchanging mesh into the corresponding torus on the base for upgrading performance than the pyramid. In this paper, we adopt a strategy of classification into two disjoint groups of edges in regular square torus as a basic sub-graph constituting of each layer in the enhanced pyramid graph. Edge set in the torus graph is considered as two disjoint sub-sets called NPC(represents candidate edge for neighbor-parent) and SPC(represents candidate edge for shared-parent) whether the parents vertices adjacent to two end vertices of the corresponding edge have a relation of neighbor or sharing in the upper layer of the enhanced pyramid graph. In addition, we also introduce a notion of shrink graph to focus only on the NPC-edges by hiding SPC-edges within the shrunk super-vertex on the resulting shrink graph. In this paper, we analyze that the lower and upper bounds on the number of NPC-edges in a Hamiltonian cycle constructed on $2^n{\times}2^n$ torus is $2^{2n-2}$ and $3{\cdot}2^{2n-2}$ respectively. By expanding this result into the enhanced pyramid graph, we also prove that the maximum number of NPC-edges containable in a Hamiltonian cycle is $4^{n-1}$-2n+1 in the n-dimensional enhanced pyramid.
The SBF (Simple Boundary Follower) is a boundary-following algorithm, and is used mainly for image recognition and presentation. The SBF is very popular because of its simplicity and efficiency in tracing the boundary of an object from an acquired binary image; however, it does have two drawbacks. First, the SBF cannot consistently process inner or inner-outer corners according to the follower's position and direction. Second, the SBF requires movement operations for the non-boundary pixels that are connected to boundary pixels. The MSBF (Modified Simple Boundary Follower) has a diagonal detour step for preventing inner-outer corner inconsistency, but is still inconsistent with inner-corners and still requires extra movement operations on non-boundary pixels. In this paper, we propose the ISBF (Improved Simple Boundary Follower), which solves the inconsistencies and reduces the extra operations. In addition, we have classified the tour maps by paths from a current boundary pixel to the next boundary pixel and have analyzed SBF, MSBF, and ISBF. We have determined that the ISBF has no inconsistency issues and reduces the overall number of operations.
