Performance analysis of session admission control based on area for software download in cellular CDMA systems (셀룰러 CDMA 시스템에서 소프트웨어 다운로드를 위한 영역 기반 세션수락제어방식 성능분석)

  • For an efficient software download in cellular CDMA systems, session admission control based on area (SACA) is presented. In the SACA scheme, the base station only allows mobile terminal to start session when the mobile locates near the base station of a cell. A mobile that is located near cell center can request software download session, but the mobile that is far away from the center can request session only after arriving near the cell center. Session duration time follows exponential and Pareto distribution. Performance is analyzed in terms of handoff rate, mean channel holding time, session blocking probability and handoff forced termination probability. As analysis results, handoff rate between cells in the proposed scheme is reduced to 30 ~ 250 % compared to conventional scheme, according to traffic characteristics such as terminal speed, session duration time and the size of the allowable zone area in a cell for the start of the session. And new session blocking probability slightly decreases to 5 ~ 20 %, but handoff session forced termination probability drastically decreases to 35 ~ 220 %.

  • 유선 네트워크와는 달리 WLAN 메쉬 네트워크는 비용면이나, 이동성면에서 장점을 많이 가지고 있다. 이에 대한 표준화가 진행 중에 있지만 많은 문제점과 기술적으로 해결해야 할 부분들이 남아있다. 특히 무선 전송기술인 DCF는 WLAN 메쉬 네트워크에 직접적으로 적용시키기에는 많은 문제점을 가지고 있다. DCF를 사용할 경우에는 무선자원을 공유하는 노드의 수가 증가하고 보내려는 패킷이 증가할수록 프레임간 충돌횟수가 급격히 증가해 무선자원의 사용 효율이 현저히 떨어지기 때문이다. 반면 PCF는 노드에게 일정시간 채널을 점유할 권리를 부여함으로써 프레임간 충돌을 없애 무선자원의 사용 효율을 향상시킬 수 있다. 하지만 트래픽이 적은 경우에는 불필요한 조사 프레임 전송, 조사목록 갱신 등으로 무선자원을 낭비하는 단점이 있다. 따라서 이 두 기술의 장점을 이용하여 WLAN 메쉬 네트워크에 적용시킨다면 데이터 전송의 효율을 증대시킬 수 있다. WLAN 메쉬 네트워크의 기본 통신범위 내에는 많은 노드들이 있으며 이를 계층적으로 나눌 경우 계층에 따라 트래픽의 양에 많은 차이를 보인다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 WLAN 메쉬 네트워크에서 DCF와 PCF를 트래픽에 따라 유연하게 사용함으로써 전송 효율을 증대시키는 적응형 HMAC 알고리즘을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션 결과 WLAN 메쉬 네트워크가 DCF에 전적으로 의존하는 경우에 비하여 적응형 HMAC 알고리즘이 적용된 WLAN 메쉬 네트워크는 트래픽이 증가할수록 수율, 지연 등에서 더 좋은 성능을 나타내었다.

  • In this paper, the channel environment for next generation ITS/DSRC which is developed for 10Mbps is modeled with ray tracing technique and, we analyzed BER of OFDM which has an advantage over reducing the effect of ISI with multi-carrier and guard time, occuping bandwidth on 6-ray channel environment. Also, we applied the one-tap equalizer to improve the performance of BER. In case only OFDM is applied with 32 sub-carrier, the result of BER is under $10^{-6}$ from 10 to 100m if $E_b/N_0$ is more than 23dB. But in case OFDM and one-tap equalizer are applied with 32 sub-carrier, $E_b/N_0$ is required of about 17dB to achieve BER under $10^{-6}$.

  • Vehicular communications have been receiving much attention in intelligent transport systems(ITS) by combining communication technology with automobile industries. In general, vehicular communication can be used for vehicle-to-vehicle(V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure( V2I) communication by adopting IEEE802.11p/1609 standard which is commonly known as wireless access in vehicular environment(WAVE). WAVE system transmits signal in 5.835~5.925 GHz frequency band with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) signaling. In this paper, after 32 bit processed the channel monitoring in MAC(Media Access Control) layer of WAVE system implemented according to IEEE 802.11p standard, data were received and we evaluated the performance, we built the test bed consisting of OBU(On Board Unit) in the real expressway. We transmitted WSM(WAVE Short Message) and received WSM between OBU wirelessly. And then, we calculated channel occupancy time per one frame and throughput, and evaluated the performance.

  • In term of inaccuracy of information and increasing channel occupancy time, the use of voice communication in Air Traffic Control has many problems. In order to improve it, ICAO proposed digital communication and ADS-B system that is more effective for voice communication in ATC. For improvement of effectiveness to add additional parameter to designated ADS-B In-Out data group, many studies being performed. In this paper, we analysis voice communication for reduce the communication traffic in ATC and simulate to add aiming altitude parameter for comparative effect analysis of communication traffic between pilot and controller. The result of the analysis were successfully validated that reduction of communication traffic in ADS-B environments.

A Cognitive Beamforming Scheme for Coexistence of Cognitive Radio and Incumbent Radio Systems (인지 라디오와 기존 라디오 시스템의 공존을 위한 인지적인 빔포밍 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a cognitive beamforming scheme for coexistence of CR (Cognitive Radio) and IR (Incumbent Radio) systems. In order to maintain the priority of the IR in spectrum utilization the proposed cognitive beamforming scheme needs to have the CR not cause any interference to the IR systems occupying the same frequency band at the same time. In addition the proposed scheme has to provide maximum channel gain to the CRU (CR User) in a boundary of satisfying the former criterion. For this purpose, the proposed scheme does not cause any interference to the IRU (IR User), while the CRU is served without additional radio resource consumption. From simulation, we confirmed that when using the proposed scheme the CRU does not interfere with the IRU and there is little bit error rate performance degradation of the CRU as compared to that of the ideal beamforming system, which does not consider the IR priority.

LMS-Wiener Model for Resources Prediction of Handoff Calls in Multimedia Wireless IP Networks (멀티미디어 무선 IP 망에서 핸드오프 호의 자원예측을 위한 LMS-위너 모델)

  • Exact prediction of resource demands for future calls enhances the efficiency of the limited resource utilization in resource reservation methods for potential calls in wireless IP networks. In this paper, we propose a LMS-Wiener resource(bandwidth) prediction for future handoff calls, and then an the proposed method is compared with an existing Wiener-based method in terms of prediction error through our simulations. In our simulations, we assume that handoff call arrivals follow a non-Poisson process and each handoff call has an non-exponentially distributed channel holdingtime in the cell, considering that handoff call arrival pattern is not Poisson distribution but non-Poisson for long periods of time in wireless picocellular IP networks. Simulation results show that the prediction error in the proposed method converges to the lower value while in an existing method increase as time is passed. Therefore we may conclude that the proposed method improves the efficiency of resource utilization by more exactly predicting resource demands for future handoff calls than an existing method.

A Study on the Business Characteristics, and Online/Offline Food Hygiene Education Comparative Analysis of Rice Cake Producer in Korea (한국 떡류 영업자의 영업 특성 및 온·오프라인 식품위생교육 비교 분석에 관한 연구)

  • A study survey about the rice cake producers completing the food hygiene education in Korea was investigated by characteristics of the rice cake business. The difference between their online and offline awareness of food hygiene education were compared. The average age of rice cake producers is 50 (40.1%), with a high school education (52.6%), 10-20 years of service (34.3%) showed the highest percentage. In relation to sales and work area, workshop personnel are engaged in two (79.5%), An area of less than $99.17m^2$ (92.0%), rent (60.2%) with most paying a monthly rental amount of less than 1 million won (54.8%). There were 228 accident cases in three years (an annual average of 2.4%), manufacturing, Processing the item number was less than 20 types of analysis (86.7%). Case of food hygiene education graduates are women, the lower the age, the higher the education level, was preferred online. Online education was chosen because of 'time, economic, convenience'(73.7%). Online graduates have recognized that health education is more conducive to business. There was no significant difference between the sales online and offline graduates. For hygienic management response was that online graduates are well above the 7.4% offline graduates. Online and offline graduates 60.7% appeared to be more satisfied than the previous training institutions.
