Recently, the buildings have been likely to shape Super Tall trend. Therefore, the exterior parts of the buildings come to be changed. Instead of early heavy wall structure, it is changed to light wall concept of curtain wall system. However, the curtain wall system causes lots of loads due to the external surrounding factors of building. In particular, due to the densely built-up condition in Korea, the generation of dew condensation is getting severer Since there has been no standardized process that reviews this generation of dew condensation, it is very urgent for us to prepare the reviewing process for the dew condensation for construction business managers. The purpose of this study is to assess dew condensation function of the curtain wall and provide the basic data for the provision of the future dew condensation review process by comparing and analyzing the range of generation of dew condensation as well as temperature distribution according to the change of relative humidity at the identical temperature by selecting the Unitized system and Stick system which are the representative types of curtain wall system.

The on-site sewage sludge vermicomposting equipment was designed and evaluated on the batch and continuous tests. The vermicomposting equipment was designed to consider the mechanization as well as automation. In terms of performance evaluation of equipment with continuous experiments, the highest treatment rate was found in the condition of 5mm in particle size and 10mm in e feeding height. Also, 20~25kg of earthworm per 50kg of sewage sludge was the most appropriate density of earthworm. In addition, the most effective separation of cast was found when the earthworm breeding box height was 80cm. The performance evaluation on equipment allowed the establishment of earthworm composting capacity of 2ton per a day with a size of $5{\times}3{\times}1m$ and the automatic control devices.

PCB design technology for high-speed transmission line has been developed continuously. Adapting to the high capacity of the communication system, switch fabric interface used for backplane is being standardized to accommodate more than 10Gbps serial interface. In this paper, various computer simulations are performed to compare the performance of each transmission line per length according to PCB material, and also to analyze the effect from via stub length and crosstalk, for the purpose of applying 11.5Gbps serial interface as a switch fabric interface in tera-bit switching system. As a result of the simulation, important design issues, such as PCB material of each board supporting 8dB improvement in transmission loss using low loss PCB, maximum available stub length on transmission line via, whether or not to apply the backdrill process to the via, and the clearance of the differential pair between transmission lines, are determined. The most efficient system architecture which could be applied 11.5Gbps serial interface in all switch fabric interfaces is defined from the simulation results.

The theoretical investigation has been performed to predict detonation velocity, detonation pressure, and thermodynamic stability of HMX/LLM-116 cocrystal. All possible geometries of HMX, LLM-116, and cocrystal have been optimized at the B3LYP/cc-pVTZ level of theory. The binding energy for the trigger bond and cluster has been calculated to predict the thermodynamic stability. The MP2 binding energies were obtained using single point energy calculation at the B3LYP optimized geometries, and the density has been calculated from monte carlo integration. The detonation velocity and detonation pressure have been calculated using Kamlet-Jacobs equation, while enthalpy has been predicted at the CBS-Q level of theory.

The effects of an impeller and floating ring seals on the performance of centrifugal pumps are investigated on the basis of their test results using water. The pumps are single-staged centrifugal pumps developed for 30-ton- and 75-ton-class liquid rocket engines, and are components of a turbopump that supplies propellants (liquid oxidizer and kerosene) to the combustion chamber. The exit width of the impellers and the numbers and exit angles of the impeller blades are found to have influences on the pump heads. In addition, the pumps have different efficiencies according to the gaps between the floating ring seals and the impellers, whereas the pump size seems to have less effect on the efficiency.
In accordance with tendency to miniaturization and high frequency operation of electronic products, extensive efforts of miniaturizing magnetic devices such as inductors, transformers and magnetic sensors are being made. In order to study on fabrication and characteristic of micro-magnetic devices, we carried out two sets of experiments. One is to develop a magnetic film that is suitable for high frequency operation, and the other is to develop the fabrication processes for realizing the micro-coil with meander shape. Magnetic films were composed of FeTa(N,C) fabricated by DC magnetron sputtering system. Their microstructures were nanocrystalline structure and magnetic properties showed Bs:13~17 kG, Hc:0.1~0.2 Oe and $\mu$':2000~4000. Cu coil pattern fabricated by selective electroplating process showed good electrical conductivity. In the case of air core inductors, inductance (L) of 50 nH, resonance frequency $(f_R)$ of 700 MHz, and quality factor (Q) of 30 at 200 MHz could be obtained. In the case of close type magnetic inductors, inductance (L) of 150 nH, resonance frequency $(f_R)$ of 100 MHz, and quality factor (Q) of 4 at 10~30 MHz could be obtained.

In this paper, we provide an authentication technology for verifying dynamic signature made by finger on smart phone. In the proposed method, we are using the Auto-Encoder-based 1 class model in order to effectively distinguish skilled forgery signature. In addition to the basic dynamic signature characteristic information such as appearance and velocity of a signature, we use accelerometer value supported by most of the smartphone. Signed data is re-sampled to give the same length and is normalized to a constant size. We built a test set for evaluation and conducted experiment in three ways. As results of the experiment, the proposed acceleration sensor value and 1 class model shows 6.9% less EER than previous method.
Frozen ground in cold region consists of an upper active layer and lower permafrost which is permanently frozen land. During the summer season, the air temperature is high enough to make the frozen ground melt, which causes the reduction of soil strength and thaw settlement. These phenomena result in structural instability, so it is necessary to apply frozen ground stability techniques. Thermosyphon is a closed natural two-phase convection device to maintain the ground temperature below $0^{\circ}C$ by extracting heat from the ground and discharges it into the atmosphere. Experimental and numerical investigation has been performed to estimate the effect of the refrigerant filling ratio in thermosyphon using R-134a refrigerant and the thermal conductance of the thermosyphon.

The cross-flow turbine is one of the most famous and widely used hydraulic power systems for a long time. The cross-flow turbine is especially popular in many countries and remote regions where off-grided because of its many benefits such as low cost, high efficiency at low head, simple structure, and easy maintenance. However, most modern turbines, including the cross-flow turbine, are unsuitable for the ultra-low head situation, known as less than 3m water head or zero head with over 0.5m/s flow velocity. In this study, we demonstrated a 20kW class inverted-type cross-flow turbine's performance. First, we reevaluated our previous studies and introduced how to design the inverted-type cross-flow turbine. Secondly, we fabricated the 20kW class inverted-type cross-flow turbine for the performance test. And then, we designed a testbed and installed the turbine system in the demonstration facility. In the end, we compare the demonstration with its previous CFD results. The comparing result shows that both CFD and real model fitted on guide vane angle at 10 degrees. At the demonstration, we achieved 42% turbine efficiency at runner speed 125 RPM.

Recently, as mobile workloads are becoming more data-intensive, high data bandwidth is required for mobile memory which also consumes non-negligible system energy. A variety of researches and technologies are under development to improve and optimize mobile memory technologies. However, a comprehensive study on the latest mobile memory technologies (LPDDR or Wide I/O) has not been extensively performed yet. To construct high-performance and energy-efficient mobile memory systems, quantitative and detailed analysis of these technologies is crucial. In this paper, we simulate the computer system which adopts mobile DRAM technologies (Wide I/O and LPDDR3). Based on our detailed and comprehensive results, we analyze important factors that affect performance and energy-efficiency of mobile DRAM technologies and show which part can be improved to construct better systems.
