The Current Situation and Development Strategies of Fashion Start-up Companies : Focused on Rising Fashion Designers in Busan (패션스타트업 기업의 현황과 발전에 관한 연구 : 부산 패션 신진디자이너를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the current operation condition of fashion start-up companies and the characteristics of their founders in Fashion Creative Studio that is one of government programs supporting fashion start-up of rising fashion designer's brands in Korea and one of supporting facilities. For this purpose, this study surveyed 32 fashion start-up companies founders in Busan Fashion Creative Studio and analyzed the data based on the survey. The results are as follows. First of all, 82% of the founders have experience to start their business in 20s and 60% of founders with not more than 3 to 5 years of work experience related to fashion challenge to start a business. Secondly, major distribution channels of the fashion start-up companies are mainly on-line open-market consisting of 36% and SNS is up to 80% as the main promotion method. In addition, exports to China account for 71% of all exports. Lastly, 33% of businesses consider viral marketing by influencer and 50% of them make plan to export their items to East Asia. It is of research significance that this study can suggest the successful direction of establishing and operating fashion start-up companies through making good use of Fashion Creative Studio, the supporting program including facility.

An Empirical Study on the Effects of Seniors' Growth·Fixed Mindset and Entrepreneurial Ability on Entrepreneurial Intentions: Focusing on the Mediating Effects of Entrepreneurship Efficasy (시니어의 성장·고정 마인드셋과 창업역량이 창업의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구: 창업효능감의 매개효과 중심으로)

  • Entrepreneurship by seniors who have accumulated skills and expertise in the industrial field is very important from a social point of view. This study aimed at seniors to find out the major start-up capabilities of seniors in an economic situation where instability factors and uncertainties are amplified due to the social structure of jobs that has changed due to COVID-19 during the 4th industrial revolution and the rapidly progressing high interest rates and global supply chain problems. The purpose of this study was to empirically verify how variables affect entrepreneurial intention. In addition, from the perspective of mindset, which is the individual psychological characteristic of pre-entrepreneurs, we tried to empirically verify whether growth mindset and fixed mindset have a significant effect on senior entrepreneurship intention. The psychological characteristics of founders were approached from the perspective of mindset, and an attempt was made to apply them to the field of entrepreneurship and to obtain practical implications. This study empirically analyzed the effects of growth mindset, fixed mindset, technical competency, network competency, and funding competency, which are components of mindset, on senior entrepreneurial intention, and verified the mediating effect of entrepreneurial efficacy. As a result of the empirical analysis, it was verified that growth mindset and technological competency had a positive (+) effect on entrepreneurial intention. In addition, it was verified that the mediating effect of entrepreneurial efficacy was significant in the influence of growth mindset and technological competency on entrepreneurial intention, and it was verified that growth mindset and technological competency are important variables in senior entrepreneurship. The study results provide the following policy implications. In order to activate senior entrepreneurship, first, to maximize the effect of founder education, programs such as customized entrepreneurship education that match the growth mindset characteristics, which are the psychological characteristics of founders, are needed. Second, it is required to expand the base of technology startups by expanding government support, such as expanding low-interest policy financing, for senior startups with technological capabilities and expertise. Third, it is necessary to provide institutional support for starting a business, such as providing a start-up program even before retirement, so that the expertise and technology accumulated by seniors can be linked to start-ups even after retirement.

  • Business incubators (BIs) could be regarded as an effective mechanism for linking research and industry to inspire technology and knowledge based entrepreneurship and innovation of start-up SMEs. The performance of BIs for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) innovation should be differentiated in accordance with the technology capacity of SMEs, the national entrepreneurial culture and characters in each economy. Therefore, the research intended to categorize BIs in the selected 10 APEC member economies into four types by investigating the issue of member economies' strategies, functions and characteristics in various focused programs.

IPA Analysis of the Components of the Scale-up Entrepreneurial Ecosystem of Startups (스타트업의 스케일업 창업생태계 구성요소의 IPA 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to survey startup founders within 7 years of founding the importance and satisfaction of the components of the scale-up entrepreneurial ecosystem at the national level in Korea and analyze the direction of scale-up policy by component using IPA (importance-performance analysis). Since the perception of founders, who are the subjects of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, affects the quantity and quality of start-ups, research is needed to analyze and diagnose the perception of scale-up components. For the development of the national economy and entrepreneurial ecosystem, companies that emerge from startups to scale-up and unicorns must be produced, and for this, elements for the scale-up entrepreneurial ecosystem are needed. The results of this study are as follows. First, the importance ranking of the components of the scale-up entrepreneurial ecosystem recognized by founders was in the order of "Financial support by growth stage," "Support for customized scale-up for enterprises," "Improvement of regulations," "Funds dedicated to scale-up," "large-scale investment," and "nurturing technical talents." Second, the factors that should be intensively improved in the importance-satisfaction matrix in the future were 'Pan-Government Integration Promotion Plan', 'Scale-Up Specialized Organization Operation', 'Company Customized Scale-Up Support', 'Regulatory Improvement', and 'Building a Korean Scale-Up Model'. As a result, various and large financial capital for the scale-up entrepreneurial ecosystem, diversification of scale-up programs by business sector, linkage of start-ups and scale-up support, deregulation of new technologies and new industries, strengthening corporate-tailored scale-up growth capabilities, and providing overseas networking opportunities can be derived. In addition, it is expected to contribute to policy practice and academic work with research that derives the components of the domestic scale-up entrepreneurial ecosystem and diagnoses its perception.

  • What are the success factors of IT venture entrepreneur that through initial phase and enter to the growth phase ? Both the duration of jobless growth and the economic recession are worsening employment market. Entrepreneurship is be proposed to a method for creating jobs and reducing the economic gap. Research on Entrepreneurship and the support of government policy has already been operated for a long time ago. Research on growth and duration of the entrepreneur in initial phase, compared with growth phase are insignificant in quantity or quality. Therefore, this study researches essential factors about growth and duration of the entrepreneur in the initial phase through cases related them. entrepreneur of this subject are classified the hardware development group and the software development group associated with manufacturing characteristic funded existence. There is a research on evaluation factors about selection and result evaluation of selecting Entrepreneur. And this can be investigated by studying to Entrepreneur's growth and duration in initial phase. There are affecting factors about growth and duration of first step. And they are divided by internal, external, synthetic, and characteristic factors of growth phase. The result of this study is be used to develop pre-established educational program, consulting guidelines and establish support policy.

  • 주요 선진국에서는 개발도상국을 지원하기 위해 자금, 교육, 의료, 인프라 등 다양한 프로그램이 존재하고 있다. 하지만 개발도상국이 지속적으로 성장하기 위해서는 창의적인 활동의 증가, 사회문제 해결형 혁신 등 실질적인 도움으로 연결될 수 있어야 한다. 본 연구는 복지형 아이디어 지원 플랫폼의 대표적인 모델로써 창조경제타운을 개발도상국으로 확산하는 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 통해 개발도상국의 창의적인 아이디어가 발현되고 혁신형 창업으로 연결될 수 있는 적용 가능성을 탐색하였다. 개발도상국에서 국민들이 아이디어를 제안하면 선진국의 전문가들이 재능기부 형식으로 온라인 멘토링을 수행하고, 우수한 아이디어의 경우에는 세계은행 등과 협력하여 실제 사업화를 지원할 수 있어야 할 것이다. 성공적인 사업화 지원을 위해서는 언어 번역기, 화상회의 시스템 등이 필요하고, 선진국과 개발도상국 정부와의 협력을 통해 사업화 지원 프로그램이 확산될 수 있도록 해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 접근법의 하나로 우리나라에서 성공적으로 운영되고 있는 창조경제타운 모델을 채택하였으며, 글로벌로 확대 시 필요한 요소들을 조사함으로써 지속가능한 선-후진국간 글로벌 혁신 플랫폼의 한 형태를 제안하는데 목적이 있다.

  • Managers in Business Incubator(BI) perform an important role to success of BI, but researches about what area of capability need to improve are limited. This study investigates the perceived gap between current capability and required capability of BI managers from BI managers' and CEOs' perspectives with a survey method. From the BI managers' perspective, improvement of most capabilities, such as financing support, R&D support and understanding of patents, and understanding of business of firms in BI, is needed. From CEOs' perspective, improvement of capability in financing and marketing support is needed.

A Study on the Effects of Intrinsic Motivation, Extrinsic Motivation and Pre-knowledge of Office Workers on the Hybrid Start-up Intention (직장인의 내재적 동기, 외재적 동기와 사전지식이 Hybrid 창업의도에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • This study identified the influence of employees' hybrid start-up intention (intention to start a business while maintaining a job) on the employees' self-determination motivation (intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation) and prior knowledge through the Model of Goal-directed Behavior (MGB). We used a PLS-SEM called SmartPLS 3.0 for 126 valid samples collected by judgement extraction for office workers throughout June 13, 2020 to July 3, 2020, and empirically evaluated the measurement model (internal consistency reliability, convergent and discriminant validity) and the structural model (multicollinearity, determination coefficient, effect size, predictive relevance, etc.). Only the intrinsic motivation for realizing the hybrid start-up goal of office workers had a significant impact on the hybrid start-up attitude and subjective norms, and the prior knowledge of hybrid start-up had a significant impact on the hybrid start-up desire and the hybrid start-up intention. In order to induce hybrid start-ups for workers with unstable employment, we need systems and programs that can inspire employees with intrinsic motivation and knowledge about hybrid start-up, so follow-up researches are necessary to analyze about government systems and consulting support that can promote hybrid start-up.

재도전 소상공인의 역량모델링에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구는 코로나 팬데믹과 같은 외부 환경의 영향뿐만 아니라 경쟁 환경 및 시장변화에 적절하게 대응하지 못하는 등 역량부족의 문제로 사업 실패률이 높아진 소상공인들의 성공적인 재기를 돕고자 이들에게 요구되는 역량을 모델링하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 1977년부터 2022년까지 발행된 관련 문헌을 분석하였고 7인의 재도전 소상공인을 대상으로 행동사건인터뷰(BEI)를 진행하였으며, 역량개발 및 HRD 전문가를 섭외하여 세 차례에 걸처 초점집단인터뷰(FGI)를 실시하는 과정을 통해 역량초안을 도출하였다. 이를 바탕으로 12명의 관련분야(창업, 소상공인, 심리/역량) 전문가를 섭외하여 3회에 걸친 델파이기법(Delphi Analysis)을 통해 재도전 소상공인의 성공적인 재기에 도움이 되는 역량을 2개의 역량군(소상공인, 실패회복), 8개의 세부역량(사업기회포착, 사업기획, 사업차별화, 운영관리, 판로개척, 제품과 서비스 연구개발, 긍정적 자기조절, 실패경험 극복 및 대처), 22개의 역량요소, 72개의 지식·기술·태도(KSA)가 표시된 행동지표로 도출하였다. 이와 같이 진행된 본 연구는 국내 최초로 재도전 소상공인에게 요구되는 역량을 구체화했다는데 학술적 의미가 있다. 또한 본 연구 결과는 재도전 소상공인 대상 역량기반 교육프로그램을 개발하거나 지원 프로그램에 적합한 대상자 선별하는 등에서 활용될 수 있으며 소상공인 스스로 사업 성공을 위해 역량을 진단하며 자기개발을 촉진하는데 활용할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

A Study on the Current status and the Educational Needs of Entrepreneurship Education Program : Focused on Elementary and Secondary School Teachers (초·중등 기업가정신 교육 현황과 교육요구도 분석: 초·중등 교사를 대상으로)

  • This study reviews the current status of entrepreneurship education programs in elementary and secondary schools, and analyzes the following educational needs among teachers. We have made the following conclusions from the study. First, career development teachers shared a strong need for entrepreneurship education programs. Second, the programs provided by these teachers were substandard despite the strong need expressed. In particular, insufficient training period and incentives were provided to teachers involved in the programs, and the teachers exhibited low standards in job specialization and class evaluation abilities. Third, the awareness of people involved in the education scheme was most critical in the cultivation and activation of entrepreneurship educations-according to the Borich educational demand calculations comparing the required and actual entrepreneurship education standards. In summary, the general educational conditions, such as the teachers' job specialization, educational support and environment, and partakers' awareness, were lacking in entrepreneurship education programs aimed at the youth. To stimulate the programs' effectiveness, teachers must be better trained; the programs should be better advertised; and specialization should be cultivated during training. Furthermore, the government's support towards program development and diversification through appropriate policies should aim to help the education's recipients in their proactive career development during the current 4th industrial revolution.
