Exploring for Impact of Learning Strategies on Participation Level in Online Collaborative Learning Process (온라인 협력학습 과정의 참여 수준에 대한 학습전략의 영향 탐색)

  • This study was conducted to explore the impact of learning strategies on the level of participation in the online collaborative learning process. To do this, We studied 91 students who took professorship courses at A university in the Seoul metropolitan area. At the beginning of the semester, the learning strategies were measured through MSLQ, rehearsal, elaboration, organizing, critical thinking, metacognition, learning management, effort control, peer learning, and seeking help. Next, cooperative tasks were carried out to measure the interaction, and group composition consisted of 4-5 persons. The level of participation was measured by scores given to the messages created for interaction. The process of collaborative learning was divided into the steps of identifying learning goals, learning plans, performing individual learning, sharing learning results, and writing reports. The effects of learning strategies on participation level were analyzed through multiple regression analysis (stepwise selection method). As a result, the learning goal step influenced the highest level of metacognition, and the learning plan is the management of the learning time, the demonstration of the learning execution, the adjustment of the effort, the acquisition of help, the collegial learning, Writing was influenced by organization, elaboration, critical thinking, and critical thinking, metacognition, and elaboration.

Accessibility to digital information of middle-aged and elderly people, and its impact on life satisfaction level: Sequential Mediation Effects on online social engagement and online network activity (중고령자의 디지털 정보화 접근수준과 삶의 만족도 간의 관계에서 온라인 사회참여/네트워크 활동의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the access level of digital information service and life satisfaction level of the middle and high-aged people and to analyze the Sequential Mediation Effects on online social engagement and online network activities. To this end, we analyzed the effects of multiple mediations on 1,491 seniors who responded to the 2018 digital information gap survey. The results of the study are as follows: First, this study confirmed that there is a statistically significant relationship between the access levels of digital information service and the life satisfaction. Second, the results showed that impact of digital information access level on life satisfaction among high-aged people was higher when they were engaged in both online social activities and online networking, rather than only involved in online social activities. Overall, this study comprehensively examined the relationship among the level of digital information access, life satisfaction, online social engagement, and online networking, which is meaningful in that it can be used as data for reconsideration of the digital information services and life satisfaction of the high-aged people.

A Study of Citizens' Giving Behavior by Income Level: Estimation of Probability and Amount of Secular Giving (소득 수준별 기부 행동 변화에 관한 연구: 자선적 기부 참여 확률 및 규모 추정)

  • This paper attempts to analyze citizens' giving behavior by household income level. Particularly, it focuses on participation and amount of secular giving by using 'Social Survey'in 2011, 2013, and 2015 from the Bureau of Statistics and employing Heckman selection model for statistical analysis. This study shows that citizens' participation has a proportional tendency by their income level. Similar to participation of secular giving, citizens' giving amount has also a proportional tendency by their income level. However, the degree of proportional tendency seems not to be significant in the case of amount of secular giving. This empirical analysis promotes understanding of participation and amount of secular giving by citizens' income section in Korea by showing the differences. This paper provides meaningful empirical understanding regarding citizens' secular giving behavior by their income level. In addition, it offers important clues to motivate relevant prospective studies and develop social agenda which contribute to strengthening giving culture in Korea.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 EDI 이용수준에 영향을 미치는 조직특성요인, 시스템의 구축과정요인을 실증적으로 분석하여 체계화하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 기존의 문헌을 조사하여 EDI이용수준에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보고, 실증 분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구의 연구결과는 다음과 같이 두 가지로 요약할 수 있다. 첫째 EDI의 이용범위에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인들은 ‘업무의 EDI 적합성, 최고경영자의 적극적 지원, 참여도’인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이 결과에서 서류업무가 많고 거래가 빈번한 기업들이 EDI에 대한 필요성을 느끼게 되고 따라서 EDI를 조직내에 통합시킬수록 그에 따른 이익을 얻을 수 있다. 한편, 기존 업무를 EDI 방식으로 전환하는데 많은 투자와 변화에 대한 위험이 존재하는 만큼 최고경영자의 적극적인 지원이 반드시 필요함을 알 수 있다. 그리고 EDI의 이용범위를 확대시키기 위해서는 EDI 사업자, 사용자의 참여뿐만 아니라 교육·훈련도 많은 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다. 둘째, DEI의 이용량에 영향을 끼치는 요인은 ‘업무의 EDI 적합성, 참여도’인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이는 거래업체와 서류업무가 많고 거래가 빈번한 기업일수록 많은 기업들과 EDI를 통해

  • The purpose of this paper was to understand the mediating effect of academic achievement on the relationship between youth activity participation and career decision-making in middle school students. To this end, data from the KCYPS2018 (Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018) were used, and this research proceeded with 2,471 middle school 1st grade students. This analysis method was a regression analysis to examine any mediating effect. And the findings are as follows. Middle school students' youth activities participation had a significant effect on career decision-making and academic achievement, and the effect of youth activities participation on career decision-making was mediated in part by academic achievement. Thus, a variety of youth activity programs should be developed and provided to middle school students to increase their motivation and academic achievement. Education and training for youth leaders and teachers should be provided to help middle school students make career decisions by operating youth activity programs in conjunction with the free semester system.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine closely between the sociodemographic characteristics and sports participation. To subject who answered to givev questionaire was 389 persons. To analyze materials, $X^2$ analysis used as statistic analysis techniques. On the basis of the results, the conclusions were as follows; Firstly, there was significants relationship between sex and sports participation. Secondly, there was significants relationship between college & department and sports participation. Thirdly, there was not significants relationship between house income and sports participation. Lastly, there was not significants relationship between subjective social-class and sports participation.

Predictors of Life Satisfaction among Older Adults in S. Korea: Differences by Education Level (한국노인의 교육수준별 생활만족 결정요인: 사회적 관계 및 참여, 건강을 중심으로)

  • As S. Korea is aging faster than any other industrialized countries, there exists a need to understand how best to improve the quality of life of the elders. The main purpose of this study is to examine the predictors of life satisfaction in the nationally representative sample of adults aged 65 and older (n=4,155) drawn from the Wave I (2006) of the Korean Longitudinal Study on Aging. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was run to assess the unique explanatory contribution of socio-demographics, social network, activity participation, and physical/psychological health on the life satisfaction. Three separate analyses were undertaken to note differences by education level: older adults with no formal education, those who had completed 9th grade, and those who had completed 12th grade and more. There are three main findings: 1) Physical/psychological health variables such as subjective health, regular exercise, and depression were significant predictors of life satisfaction regardless of education level; 2) While social network and activity participation factors influence life satisfaction of the two lower education groups, such factors don't affect the highest education group; 3) Marital status, household income, and location of residence were significant demographic predictors of life satisfaction regardless of education level. Implications for program development and policy are discussed in this paper.

A Study Exploring the Relationship of Educational Participatory Motivation and Educational Satisfaction among Adult Social Work Students of a Cyber University (사이버대학교 사회복지학 전공자들의 학습참여동기와 학업만족도)

  • This study explored three types of educational participatory motivations among 196 adult social work students at one of Cyber University in Seoul, Korea. and examined the relationship of educational participatory motivations and educational satisfaction, aiming to provide suggestions for increasing adult social work students' educational satisfaction. Results revealed that students had goal-oriented motivation the most, followed by learning-oriented motivation and activity-oriented motivation. Results showed that age and three types of educational participatory motivations, in order of goal-oriented, learning-oriented, and activity-oriented motivations, influenced educational satisfaction. In conclusion, this study suggested that cyber universities should improve educational environments including educational curriculum, in order to meet adult social work students' goal-oriented motivation, and provide methods to satisfy adult social work students' activity-oriented motivation, reflecting their altruism. In addition, young social work students' educational participatory motivations should be explored to increase their educational satisfaction.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of consulting participation level, consulting specialty, and consulting capability on consulting intelligibility and consulting performance for Small Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).This study performed statistical analysis such as AMOS 22.0 to conduct exploratory factor analysis and measurement model in order to identify interrelationship among the consulting participation level, consulting intelligibility and consulting performance. The results of our study are as follow. Firstly and secondly consulting participation level, consulting specialty and consultant capability has positive effect on consulting performance and consulting intelligibility. Thirdly, consulting intelligibility has non positive effect on consulting performance. According to this survey, it is important to make good consulting performance through consulting participation level, specialty and capability. But the consulting intelligibility is not effected on consulting performance.

The Level of Supporting Fathers' Care Work in 15 OECD Countries and its Implications for Korean Family Policy (부모.부성휴가를 통해본 남성 돌봄 노동참여 지원정책 비교 : 경제협력개발기구 15개국을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this paper is to classify OECD countries in regard to levels of supporting fathers' care work. Several meaningful conclusions were reached. First, examining the level of supporting fathers' care work and the strength of the traditional bread-winner model, OECD countries can be classified into 5 different clusters. The result is different from the mainstream typology of welfare states and suggests the new typology of welfare states. Second, the level of supporting fathers' care work and the strength of the traditional bread-winner model were found to be related to total fertility rates and women's labor market participation rates. Third, in regard to the level of supporting fathers' care work, Korea was the lowest among OECD countries. This result points to one of the important reasons to the low level of total fertility rat, and low rate of women's labor market participation in Korea.
