A Study on Digital Reference Services in an Educational Research Library: Focusing on Types of Questions Among Subareas of Education (교육학분야 전문도서관에서 제공되는 디지털참고정보서비스에 관한 연구 - 하위주제영역별 이용자의 질문유형을 중심으로 -)

  • This study attempted to investigate users' information needs in an educational research library, which delivers web-based digital reference services to library users, by analyzing reference questions asked by remote users. A total of 242 questions from two electronic bulletin boards was examined in terms of 6 types of questions asked and 23 subareas of education. The study found that 56.1% of reference questions on the library bulletin board were pure reference questions in curriculum, textbooks and teaching & instruction. Suggestions for effective use of digital reference services were made: easy access to menu services, use of web forms, development of digital reference systems providing search functions and response functions.

  • Due to the inferior condition of local library reference service, an air of indifference about users, and the increase in Internet resources, cooperative reference service in domestic libraries tend to be stagnant. The increase in Internet resources was reconsidered, aside from traditional library reference service, based on question and answer service. It shed new light on the importance of indirect service, which is focused on reliable knowledge base construction. This study analyzed cooperative reference service, which is managed by the Japanese Diet library that pursued indirect service contrary to ours. Based on that, it suggested a new takeoff possibility for Korean cooperative reference service.

  • This study is to improve the quality of online reference service which is serviced in the world. For this it suggests the strategic methods for collecting and connecting of internet information resources. It makes information service circumstance for professional librarians to retrieve and service. To achieve the purpose, this study have drawn implications by analysing the theoretical discussions and the cases of online reference resources system. This study suggests some strategies as follows; 1) Collaborative constructing and using of online reference resources, 2) Developing classification scheme and subdividing the subjects of it, 3) Developing the standard format of the data as like metadata, 4) Developing the guidelines to select the proper resources from many internet information resources, 5) Subdividing the 'knowledge DB' by subjects, 6) Connecting as much as possible the DBs as like the National DB and open access resources.

  • To deal with a new environment of information technologies in the 21 Century, many libraries around the world have made great efforts to develop online knowledge-information services. In Korea, the National Library initiated an online knowledge-information services, in 2008. Through case studies and practical tests of online knowledge-information services, this article discusses plans for developing . The article explores definitions and types of online knowledge-information services, and analyzes online knowledge-information services in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Korea. Futhermore, practical reviews on the four services are conducted through 'question-answer' tests. As a result, the article discusses present and future tasks for improving .

건설분야 외국인산업연수제도와 설비건설업계의 산업연수생 활용 현황

  • 최근 우리나라는 청년실업이 사회적 관심사로 대두되고 있으나 3D업종은 취업을 기피하고 있어 이들 업종종사자들의 일부를 불가피하게 수입하는 국가로 전환한지 오래이다. 건설분야도 예외는 아니어서 기능인력 수요가 크게 증가 한 반면 근로여건이 열악하고 고용이 불안정한 건설현장의 취업 기피로 인력난이 갈수록 심화되고 있다. 이에 따라 정부에서는 1997년부터 국내건설현장에도 외국인력을 도입키로하고 지난 97년 6월 2,500명이 도입된 이후 외국인력이 꾸준히 증가하고 있으나 아직도 건설 기능인력 수급 불균형 해소에는 부족한 실정이다. 건설분야의 외국인 산업연수추천단체로 대한건설협회가 지정되어 연수업무를 시작한 이후 7년이 지난 지금 어느 정도 틀이 잡혔고 연수생에 대한 처우가 개선되면서 효율적인 운영과 관리로“건설현장의 인력난해소 및 국가간 협력증진”이라는 당초의 목적에 크게 기여하고 있다는 평가를 받고 있다. 따라서 본지는 외국인산업연수제도 및 연수취업제도를 자세히 알아보고 설비건설업계의 외국인 활용 실태도 점검해 본다. 또한 회원사들의 이해를 돕기 위해 외국인산업연수제도 및 연수취업제도에 대한 질의와 응답을 게재하오니 설비건설업계의 많은 참고를 바란다.

The proposal about the effective management of outside data (외부 병원 Data의 효율적 관리에 대한 제언)

  • 외부 데이터가 진료병원 Server에 저장됨에 있어서 판독을 의뢰하지 않을 경우, 대부분의 병원이 무상으로 이루어 지고 있는 상황이며 이에 외부 데이터 단순 import의 효율적인 관리를 위한 수가 적용 여부를 검토하였다. 2007년 3월부터 4월까지 서울 경기 지역의 PACS가 도입 된지 1년 이상, 병상 수 500Bed 이상의 종합 대학병원 25곳에 근무하는 각 병원의 PACS 운영실 및 PACS 관리자를 대상으로 하였다. 외부 데이터에 관한 10가지 항목의 설문지를 작성하여 각 병원의 PASC 담당자 및 관리자를 대상으로 E-mail을 이용한 자기 기입 방식, 전화를 통한 질의응답 방식으로 조사하였다. 조사된 25개의 종합 대학병원의 96%이상이 외부 데이터 단순 import를 지원하고 있었으며, 그 중 92%의 병원은 무상으로 이루어지고 있었다. 이와 같이 진행 되는 부분에 대하여 각 병원의 PACS 담당자 70% 이상이 단순 import에 대한 수가 적용의 필요성을 느끼고 있으며, 현재 많은 병원에서 단순 import의 무상 지원으로 인한 문제점을 인식하고 있었다. K병원을 기준으로 단순 import에 년간 H/W 소요 비용은 336만원이고, 년간 인건비 소요비용은 421만원이다. 또한 단순 import 한 건당 평균 데이터 size는 48MB 정도로 조사되었다. 환자 입장에서 진료에 참고자료로 사용 될 외부 데이터의 정확한 저장과 정당한 PACS 사용을 위해서는 그에 상응하는 수가가 적용 되어야 할 것이다. 보험심사평가원 급여기준에 따라 수가적용이 인정되어 의료영상 디지털화로 인한 초기의 고액 투자비용 보장과 회수를 위해 단순 Import의 수가 적용이 반드시 필요하다고 사료 된다.

A Study on Cases for Application of Flipped Learning in K-12 Education (초·중등교육에서의 플립러닝 연구사례 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze domestic and overseas cases of flipped learning instructional design model and actual classes in K-12 Education, and find out educational implications in order to design effective flipped learning. Papers, 14 articles in domestic and international journals, were collected. As results of the analysis, first, flipped learning instructional model was presented as flipped learning that applied to ADDIE model and 8C model etc. Second, 'Activities before classroom' consisted of watching lecture videos, lecture notes etc. 'Activities during classroom' was checking prior learning in early stage, individual activities and cooperative activities in middle stage, and solving quizzes, reviewing in later stage. After class, students performed tasks and questions&answers. Third, in case of creating lecture video, they used application such as Screencast-o-matic, Explain Everything; In contrast, some cases utilized online web-sites such as YouTube or Phet. Fourth, positive results were shown in learners' academic achievement, motivation and learning attitude etc. This research has a significance in terms of analyzing the flipped learning instructional model and flipped learning activities, and providing the preliminary data to facilitate the design for the effective flipped learning.

  • This study introduces a development of calculus contents which makes to understand the main concepts of calculus in a short period of time and to enhance problem solving and computational thinking for complex problems encountered in the real world for college freshmen with diverse backgrounds. As a concrete measure, we developed 'Teaching and Learning' contents and Python-based code for Calculus I and II which was used in actual classroom. In other words, the entire process of teaching and learning, action plan, and evaluation method for calculus class with Python based coding are reported and shared. In anytime and anywhere, our students were able to freely practice and effectively exercise calculus problems. By using the given code, students could gain meaningful understanding of calculus contents and were able to expand their computational thinking skills. In addition, we share a way that it motivated student activities, and evaluated students fairly based on data which they generated, but still instructor's work load is less than before. Therefore, it can be a teaching and learning model for college mathematics which shows a possibility to cover calculus concepts and computational thinking at once in a innovative way for the 21st century.
