Reference resources management tools can be divided into three types: Desktop-based, Web-based, and Web 2.0-based. This study is intended to compare and analyze the functions provided by the three types of tools and also to compare and evaluate their usability. Each Tools were chosen to represent each type. For comparison and analysis of the functions provided by the three types of tools, we divided the process of using reference resources management tools into four steps and then compared and analyzed sub items in each step. Satisfaction, understandability, conformance and efficiency that items for comparison and evaluation of the usability were compared using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. We surveyed the participants to collect data for quantitative research; and interviewed them and analyzed the results for qualitative research. Here are the results from evaluating the usability of Tool A(Desktop-based), B(Web-based), C(Web 2.0 based). First, Tool B had the highest mean user satisfaction, followed by Tool A and Tool C. Secondly, Tool B had the lead in understandability, followed by Tool A and Tool C. Thirdly, Tool A had the highest mean conformance, followed by Tool B and Tool C. Fourth, Tool B had the highest mean efficiency, followed by Tool A and Tool C.

본 연구에서 구축하고자 하는 통합OPAC은 특정 주제의 문헌정보원, 전문가정보원, 통계정보원을 제시해 주는 참고봉사 전문가 시스템, 온라인 열람목록(OPAC), 이용 안내, 외부데이타베이스의 검색 모듈이 결합된 시스템이다. 지식베이스는 문헌정보원 지식베이스, 전문가정보원 지식베이스, 통계정보원 지식베이스로 구성된다. 지시베이스의 추론방법은 전진추론(forword chining) 방식을 채택하였다. 시스템의 구현 환경은 먼저 하드웨어는 IBM 호완기종의 개인용 컴퓨터들(IBM386-DX33이상)을 사용하고 시스템 개발도구로는 전문가시스템과 하이퍼텍스트가 결합된 쉘(shell)인 KPWin++를 이용하였고 문헌정보원, 전문가정보원, 통계정보원에서의 키워드추출 등 정보처리 작업은 터보C를 사용하였다.

The purpose of this study was to analyzes the present conditions of reference databases which is constructed from Korea. The object which is used in analysis concludes on KSCI( Korean Science Citation Index) of KISTI, KCI(Korean Citation Index) of KRF, KoMCI(Korean Medical Citation Index) of Korean Academy of Medical Sciences, and reference database of KOSEF. And then, this paper proposes the activation plan for reference database construction based on this analysis result. The proposed plan will be able to apply with fundamental data of the system, policy and technical direction for reference database construction.

This study was performed to evaluate the existing pain assessment methods including the tools developed for use with nonverbal older adults with dementia, and to suggest recommendations to clinicians based on the evaluations. Computerized literature searches published after year 2000 using databases - Google scholar, RISS, KoreaMed, Medline, ScienceDirect, CINAHL - were done. Searching keywords were 'pain', 'pain assessment', and 'cognitive impairment/dementia'. The pain assessments for non-communicative dementia patients who are unable to self-report their pains are often made using the assessment tools relying on the observation of behavioral indicators or alternatively the strategy of surrogate reporting. While several tools in English version and only one in Korean are suggested for the pain assessments based on the observation of behavioral indicators, none are commonly used. In this review, we selectively evaluated those tools known to show relatively higher degree of validity and reliability for nonverbal older adults with dementia, namely, CNPI, DOLOPLUS 2, PACSLAC, PAINAD, and DS-DAT. It is hoped that the present review of selected tools for assessing pain in those vulnerable population and the general recommendations given be useful for clinicians in their palliative care practice. And future studies should focus on enriching the validation of the useful tools used to observe the nonverbal patient's behavioral indicators for pain in Korean.

Since 1995 local newspapers competitively commenced the service of multimedia electronic newspaper on Internet WWW due to the technical development in data processing and the widely used Internet. It includes image, phonetics and moving pictures as well as texts. The Internet service of newspaper articles are not only the information source which enables the users utilize the various information easily and rapidly but also to be an important reference service tools in the library. Howeverjn many cases. the current local electronic newspaper service aims at the service itself. Therefore, the information does not contain plenty of information. In some cases, information searching system focused on the users are not established yet. In this research, structuring process and characteristics of the Internet WWW electronic newspaper and the current service status and contents of the local newspaper have been reviewed. Construction of menu, information searching system and reference mannual for users of 6 local newspapers have been analyzed to secure efficient service for users.
