The aim of this study was to examine the perceptions and attitudes of dental hygienists on the use of dental loupes. A questionnaire survey was conducted to 180 dental hygienists working at dental institutions and public health centers. 4.6% of all respondents answered that they use dental loupes currently, and 38.9% answered that they need to introduce dental loupes in the dental clinic. About half indicated that loupes were a benefit to improved vision(53%) and Improved clarity(44%). The most commonly reported disadvantages to loupes wear were limited depth of vision(39%) and overall dependency. It was confirmed that most dental hygienists did not use loupes, there was little interest in loupes. More research is needed on the effects of loupes in dental practice.

This paper proposes an indoor location positioning system for the image recognition based LBS. The proposed system is a vision-based location positioning system that is implemented the augmented reality by overlaying the location results with the view of the user. For implementing, the proposed system uses the pattern matching and location model to recognize user location from images taken by a wearable mobile PC with camera. In the proposed system, the system uses the pattern matching and location model for recognizing a personal location in image sequences. The system is estimated user location by the image sequence matching and marker detection methods, and is recognized user location by using the pre-defined location model. To detect marker in image sequences, the proposed system apply to the adaptive thresholding method, and by using the location model to recognize a location, the system can be obtained more accurate and efficient results. Experimental results show that the proposed system has both quality and performance to be used as an indoor location-based services(LBS) for visitors in various environments.

Objective: To confirm the immediate gait improvement in a post-stroke gait disturbance patient equipped with a weighted vest. Methods: We selected a patient who was able to walk without another’s help or with tools. The selected patient had an unstable gait because she had only started an independent gait within the past week, so we thought that a weighted vest could be very helpful for her. We first collected gait parameters using a treadmill gait analysis system while the patient walked on the treadmill without the weighted vest. After a 10-minute break, gait parameters were collected again while the patient walked on the treadmill while wearing the weighted vest. The gait parameters we collected included step length (cm), stance phase (%), swing phase (%), SW/ST, and gait line length (mm). For objective evaluation of gait improvement, we calculated the ratio of gait parameters of the right and left limbs. Results: The gait of the post-stroke patient was more symmetrical when wearing the weighted vest than without the weighted vest. Without the weighted vest, her step length ratio was 0.78, stance phase ratio was 0.88, swing phase ratio was 1.50, SW/ST ratio was 1.70, and gait line length ratio was 0.91. With the weighted vest, her step length ratio was 0.88, stance phase ratio was 0.90, swing phase ratio was 1.38, SW/ST ratio was 1.54, and gait line length ratio was 0.98. No side effects were observed due to the weighted vest.

Functional inner-wear being currently sold is being made without regard to the characteristics of various sports events. The purpose of this study is to identify this problem and to investigate the effect of sports taping on golf swing when wearing functional inner-wear. The subjects of this study were 8 male golfers belonging to Korea Professional Golf Association, and Launch monitor and Trackman were used to find out golf club action, ball pitch, distance, etc. There are three types of clubs: driver, wood, and iron, and the first experiment was carried out using only functional inner-wear. In the second experiment, we experimented with functional inner-wear after sports taping, and we compared and analyzed the distance depending on each experiment, the speed of the ball and the club, and the accuracy of the club face. The results of the study were as follows. As a result of driving distance, according to the presence of sports taping on functional inner-wear, there was a statistically significant difference in the driving swing and wood swing, for club and ball speed, there was a statistically significant difference only in the driving swing. Regarding the accuracy by the presence of sports taping on inner-wear, there was a statistically significant difference in the driving swing, wood swing, and iron swing. In conclusion, the sports taping in the functional inner-wear had a positive effect on golf performance improvement, and we hope that golf inner-wear these two specifications combing will be developed in the future.

Purpose: This study was to identify the effects of the application of elastic compression stockings during the hours of work on edema and pain of lower extremity in hospital nurses. Method: The participants were categorized into three groups, 15 for an experimental group of the application of Thigh-Length (T-L) elastic compression stocking, 15 for another experimental group of the application of Knee-Length(K-L) elastic compression stocking and 15 for a control group. The data were analyzed by $X^{2}-test$, ANOVA, Repeated Measures ANOVA and Sheffe-test using SPSS Win 12.0 program. Result: As a result of the study "There are significant differences in lower extremity edema among three groups." was partly supported. "There are significant differences in girth of ankle after work among three groups." was supported(Rt.:F=4.56, p=.016; Lt.: F=5.82, p=.006). "There are significant differences in girth of calf after work among three groups." was not supported(Rt. : F=1.76, p=.183; Lt. : F=1.94, p=.155) "There are significant differences in lower extremity pain after work among three groups." was supported(Rt. : F=95.33, p=.000; Lt. : F=81.33, p=.000). Conclusion: The results of this study revealed that the application of elastic compression stockings during the hours of work is effective for the relief of edema and pain of lower extremity in hospital nurses.

와관과 실체의 갈등은 문학작품의 주제 중에서 가장 보편적이면서도 복잡한 양상을 지니고 있다 희곡 Macbeth에 있어서 이주제는 Shakespeare의 어느 작품에서보다도 핵심적인 역할을 하며 특히 외관과 실체의 주제를 시각적으로 보여주는 복식이미저리는 그의 주제를 상징적으로 나타내는 데 효과적일 뿐만 아니라 극적 분위기 창조 및 무대사에서배우들의 의상변화로 인한 시각적이미저리 효과를 극대화 시키고 있다 본 연구의 목적은 Macbeth에 내재된 복식 이미저리를 고찰하고 이를 가장 최근에 공연된 macbeth의 무대의상에 적용 분석함으로써 무대의상 제작시 복식 이미저리의 효과적인 무대적용 여부를 파악하는 것이다.연구의 방법은 먼저 이론적인 배경으로 희곡 Macbeth의 본문을 분석하여 복식이미지저리와 관계된느 대사 및 지문 등을 추출한 다음이를 하나의 케이스 연구대상으로 선정된 1996 RSC극단 공연의 Macbeth 무대의상에 적용하여 분석 고찰 하였다 본 연구에서 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다 첫째 자신의 실체를 파악하지 못한 인물이나 혼동하는 인물은 자신의 신분에 맞지 않은 남의 의상을 적응기간조차 없이 착용함으로써 결국은 자신을 파멸로 몰고가는 복식 이미저리가 제시되어 있었다 둘째 자신의 실체를 분명히 지각하고 있는 인물들은 새로운 복식이나 신분에의 적응은 많은 시간과 노력을 요한다는 것을 매우 잘 파악하고 있었으며 이것은 그들의 대사 중에 구체적으로 제시되어있었다 1막1장의 Banquo 의 대사 중에 나오는'새로운복식'과 '새로운 신분'에 비유 2막 4장의 macduff의 대사중에 나오는 '새로브'와 '헌로브'의 비유 5막 2장의 Caithness의 '자제력의혁대'등의 비유는 복식이미저리의 구체적인 표현으로 분석되었다. 셋째 복식 이미저리의 측면에 1996 RSC의 Macbeth 무대의상을 분한 결과 이의상들에는 '난쟁이가 훔쳐 입은 거인의 옷' 으로 대표되는 복식 이미저리가 직접적으로 제시되지는 않았지만 공연전체를 통하여 무대장치 및 의상에 변화를 주지 않음으로써 이 작품의 초시한성과 복식이미저리를 오히려 역설적으로 표현하고 있는 것으로 파악되었다. 따라서 이공연의 의상 계획은 복식 이미저리의 역설적인 한 표현으로 분석되었으며 관객에게 등장인물의 외곤은 그 실체를 그대로 반영한다는 Shakespeare 본래의 의도를 잘 보여주는 의상계획으로 파악되었다 이러한 결과는 Shakespeare극의 무대의상 디자인 및 제작시 무대의상이 단순한 무대의상 그 이상의 의미로 고려되어져야 함을 보여주며 이는 관객에세 의미 깊은 메시지로 전달될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

This study examined the physiological and psychological effects of wearing gloves at rest in a cold environment. Seven elderly females participated in two separate trials: wearing gloves (WG) and bare hands (BH). The experiment was conducted for 60 min in a climatic chamber (air temperature 7.8±0.3℃ with 44±2%RH) with a sedentary posture. Microclimate temperature on the left palm was 4.16℃ higher in WG compared to that in BH (p<.1). Microclimate temperature on the chest during the last 5 min increased compared to the initial 5 min only in WG (p<.05). During the last 5 min, skin temperatures at the arm and hand in WG were higher than those in BH (p<.05). There was no statistical difference in the change of rectal temperature between WG and BH. Heart rate in BH was significantly higher compared to the WG (p<.05). Subjects also felt less cold on the whole body and hand in WG than those in BH (p<.05). The findings indicate that wearing gloves for elderly females affected the distribution of skin temperature and cardiovascular response in cold environments. Elderly females should be informed about the importance of wearing gloves through the clothing guideline in winter.

We suggested the novel actuator mechanism to apply to wearable assistive system for the improvement of quality of life of the elderly or the people with disability using it. Characteristics of metal-hydride (MH) actuator is investigated in the novel actuating concept. The hydrogen equilibrium pressure increases when hydrogen is desorbed by heating a SMH alloys, whereas by cooling that alloys, the hydrogen equilibrium pressure decreases and hydrogen is absorbed. However, there are too long times in heat transfer mechanism to apply the assistive and rehabilitative device. In this study, 3 different SMH module were designed and characteristics of heat transfer in each SMH module were investigated based on the heat simulation.

The soft contact lens was very simple technique in handling, good sensation in fitting, good effect of a beauty, and good attachment state on the cornea in physical movement. So that, the subjects have used the correct of visual acuity. If the contact lens handling have not skill, they have acquired the side effect on eye. To analysis of a study of ultrastructure on soft contact lens surface of incubated P. aeruginosa. We have observed the soft contact lens surface by SEM. We have founded the good technical method. On the method of sample process of manufacture, the best observation of samlpe tissue was $OsO_4$ postfixation and tannic acid treatment. In this case, P. aeruginosa was a rod shape and one cilia in ultrastructure and the identification was very good. But, On the process of manufacture have not used the $OsO_4$ and tannic acid treatment, this tissue sample appeared the foreign body materials and artifacts, and the identification of the P. aeruginosa was very difficult.

The aim of this study was to analyze the surface ultrastructure of RGP contact lenses post-use The RGP contact lenses, to investigate, were selected after one month, six months and one year of wear by the subjects. The anterior and posterior surfaces of these RGP contact lenses were inspected by a scanning electron microscope. The results were the following: 1. After one month of RGP contact lens use the anterior and posterior surfaces appeared clean and clear as originally. 2. After six months the anterior surface had several scars, dips, cracks and scratches. Upon the posterior surface appeared several foreign bodies and microorganisms. 3. After one year there was large scale damage and many foreign bodies were observed. Therefore, extended use of RGP contact lenses has shown increasing physical damage and extensive foreign body accumulation upon the ultrastructure of the lens surface.
