  • This study investigated how women in their 20s to 60s think about the relationship between environmental pollution and the fashion industry and categorized their perceptions. Through this, I tried to find out the direction of the fashion industry to improve environmental problems. There were four types of perceptions of fashion and environmental pollution. Type 1 recognized that the process of producing and consuming clothing causes environmental pollution, but it was a type that preferred fast fashion and valued trends. Type 2 thought that the fashion industry pollutes air and water quality, and if the price was high, recycling clothes were not purchased. Type 3 thought that the fashion industry was not the main culprit of environmental pollution, and that if you purchase clothes, you should protect the environment by wearing them for a long time. Type 4 was a type of effort to reduce environmental pollution by considering the environment first, purchasing old clothes, and changing clothes. As the importance of the environment has grown, various efforts are needed to reduce environmental pollution in the fashion field.

The data used in the multiple-case study mainly referred to diaries, blogs, social networking sites, Youtube, and interviews of the disabled with ALS disease in Korea and Japan, and analyzed support services of both countries. The result of the study showed that, in the onset stage of ALS disease, a fellow counselor should be assigned by family member or person who experienced the disease from KALSA or other organizations to which a patient belongs. Also, it need a counseling by fellow counselor in the stage of softening disability. And after the gastrointestinal procedure, the number of home visits by visiting nurses should increase, and other services by OT and PT are required. In the stage of wearing a respirator, it needs to train and dispatch volunteers for ALS exclusive activities. And it is necessary to set up a family rest area or a respite service for the mentally and physically exhausted primary caregiver by long-term care. Most of all, these services should be one-stop support with linking step by step, not fragmentary support.

  • This study attempted to analyze the consonant perception ability and errors and to verify compatibility items for hearing impaired children wearing hearing aids and cochlear implants using the Phoneme Perception Test for School-Aged children (PPT-S). As a result of the study, it was found that children with hearing impairments have more difficulty in perceiving final consonants than initial consonants. The hard type of PPT-S, in which the articulation method and articulation place of the target and foil words are similar, felt more difficult than the easy type. Among the initial consonants, the incorrect response rate for aspiration sound was higher. In the case of final consonants, the incorrect answer rate for 'ㄷ' and 'ㅁ' was relatively higher. There was no significant difference in the percentage of correct response rate according to the gender of the speaker. The above results can be usefully used as basic data for standardizing of PPT-S and evaluating the intervention effects before and after hearing rehabilitation with hearing impaired children.

  • Loss of leg muscle and muscle weakness, which are caused by aging, affect muscle function and sense of balance. As a way of preventing seniors from falling, we developed the idea of wearing functional supporters based on graduated compression technique and in the form of a taping supporter. Their impact on power, sense of balance, overcoming fatigue, and subjective wearing sensation was investigated. The following results were obtained. After wearing functional compression supporters, body temperature increased from 24.5 ± 0.5℃ to 26.3 ± 0.6℃. Calf size, which assesses the level of edema, decreased from 26.1 ± 1.8cm to 25.7 ± 1.8cm. The result of dynamic balance test, which helps estimate the fall prevention effect, increased from 6.4 ± 0.9sec to 7.1 ± 0.6sec. Lactate level, which indicates the level of fatigue, decreased from 8.1 ± 0.6mmol/L to 7.3 ± 0.8mmol/L. Standing long jump record, which assesses power, increased from 110.1 ± 3.1cm to 112.0 ± 2.8cm. Standing on one leg with eyes closed, which assesses sense of balance, increased from 4.2 ± 1.1sec to 6.5 ± 0.8sec. Ankle angle, which assesses joint stability, increased from 75.3 ± 4.0° to 80.1 ± 1.7°. In metabolism and physical performance testing, which assesses keep, the score increased from 26.3 ± 1.7 to 28.8 ± 1.2. Muscle supporting score, which assesses joint stability, increased from 7.3 ± 0.6 to 7.8 ± 0.4. In the category of body type, which assesses wearing sensation and body shaping function, the score increased from 5.7 ± 1.4 to 6.4 ± 1.2

  • Due to the recent development of battery technology, various types of means of transportation such as electric kickboards, Segways, and electric bicycles have emerged, which can be defined as Personal Mobility. In this paper, as the incidence of safety accidents increases due to the increase in the number of users of Personal Mobility, safety helmet devices that strengthen safety capabilities and peripheral recognition functions were studied. In order for the helmet to send a safety signal, Arduino was used as a base to set the value of the sensor according to changes in distance and angle using the ultrasonic sensor to minimize errors and ensure smooth recognition. In addition, a gyro sensor was used to turn on the direction indicator according to each slope. Using a CDS sensor, the LED is designed to turn on when it goes below 150 lux at night. Finally, it is possible to check whether a helmet is worn within 5cm, and when driving at an average speed, the direction indicator light is turned on at 10 degrees, and the LED is turned on at less than 150 lux.

  • Currently, soldiers enlisted in the military (Army) are receiving measurements (automatic, manual) of body parts and trying on sample clothing at boot training centers, and then receiving clothing in the desired size. Due to the low accuracy of the measured size during the measurement process, in the military, which uses a relatively more detailed sizing system than civilian casual clothes, the supplied clothes do not fit properly, so the frequency of changing the clothes is very frequent. In addition, there is a problem in that inventory is managed inefficiently by applying the measurement system based on the old generation body shape data collected more than a decade ago without reflecting the western-changed body type change of the MZ generation. That is, military uniforms of the necessary size are insufficient, and many unnecessary-sized military uniforms are in stock. Therefore, in order to reduce the frequency of clothing replacement and improve the efficiency of stock management, deep learning-based automatic measurement of body size, big data analysis, and machine learning-based "Personalized Combat Uniform Automatic Recommendation System for Enlisted Soldiers" is proposed.

  • This study presents an analysis of the human body channel as an electric signal path using body impulse response (BIR). The human body communications (HBC) has recently emerged as an effective signal transmission method to create wireless body area networks (WBAN). We provide body channel characteristics based on measured BIR in a proper experimental environment for the HBC using capacitive coupling with a customized channel sounding device, which can be applied as a guideline for the HBC system design. The frequency response of the BIR, extracted by a customized signal processing for the measure signals, shows the channel path loss (CPS) between 0 MHz and 100 MHz with an average CPS of approximately 46.8 dB. In addition, the relative noise power distributions can provide estimations on the signal to noise ratio at the HBC receiver in terms of capacitor and resistor values in the measured frequency band and the frequency band lower than 3 MHz considering the baseband signal detection.
