염색 표지 방류 방법을 이용한 제주 천제연 하구 실뱀장어 자원량 추정

  • 피부 착색용 중성염료는 부착용 표지 방류가 어려운 자치어를 비롯한 소형어류 표지로 이용되어진다. 이 용도로 널리 이용되어지는 Neutral Red, Bismarck brown, Acridine orange, Sudan black과 Toludine blue로 실험실에서 실뱀장어를 염색하여 관찰한 결과, Sudan black은 염색이 되지 않았고, Toludine blue는 머리 부분만 염색되었으나 수 시간 내에 탈색 되었다. Acridine orange는 1/50,000 농도에 노출하였을 때 24시간 후 100%가 사망하였다. (중략)

  • This study explored the efficient dyeing method of aged chestnut wood using the natural dyes extracted from Gardenia jasminoides for, grandiflora, Carthamus tinctorius L., Rhus javanica L., Lithospermum erythrorhizon S. et Z., Caesalpinia sappan L. and Castanea crenata S. et Z.. The color variation of the dyed chestnut woods was also quantitatively evaluated. The wood specimens revealed abundant colors through different dyeing conditions such as dyeing temperature, dye pH, soaking time, and brushing frequency. The chroma and stain concentration of colored woods were calculated with $L^*$, $a^*$ and $b^*$ in order to make color tone measurement. Brushing treatment for colored wood was confirmed as a more economical dyeing method than soaking treatment requiring more time when natural dyeing was done. Furthermore, the desirable tone and shade of color was easily obtained by repetitive brushing treatment using low color tone. During natural dyeing, good color expression was made with high temperature and acidic condition of a dyeing liquor.

A Study on Dye Elution from the Circle Contact Lenses (써클콘택트렌즈의 염료 용출에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose: The present study was conducted to investigate whether the elution of the dyes from the circle contact lenses existed or not when rubbed with cotton swab. Methods: The change of lens surface was observed by scanning electron microscope when a total of seven kinds of circle contact lens were rubbed with cotton swab, and the dye elution was further compared when the lenses were soaked in multi-purpose solution in $20^{\circ}C$ and $36.5^{\circ}C$ for a week. Results: Five of a total of 7 circle contact lenses showed the dye elution from the front or the back surface of the lens when rubbed with cotton swabs, and existence of dye elution was varied depending on the type of contact lenses and different at the front and back surface even in the same lens. The tear-off of the pigmented portion by the rubbing was found through scanning electron microscopic observation when the dye elution existed. However, the dye was not eluted when the circle contact lenses was soaked in a multi-purpose solution in $20^{\circ}C$ or $36.5^{\circ}C$ for a week. Ingredient of colorant was not provided by the manufacturers in more than 50% of the circle contact lenses investigated for this study and the basic information such as the pigmentation method was provided inappropriately. Conclusions: In this study, the result was the dye elution from circle contact lenses was obtained when a physical force is applied thus, it may appear to contribute the development of circle contact lenses and safety of lens wear.

  • A procedure for the direct detection of (1-3)-$\beta$-glucanase isozymes in electrophoresis gels was developed. The procedure employed the commercial preparation of AZCL-pachyman as a chromogenic substrate for (1-3)-$\beta$-glucanases. The procedure detected the three basic isozymes which have been known to be expressed in germinating barley kernels. A major acidic and a minor isozymes were also detected in germinating kernels. The procedure was proved to be fast, simple and sensitive enough to be used for the analysis of the expression of (1-3)-$\beta$-glucanase isozymes in plant tissues. The detection limit of the procedure for the commercial preparation of Penicillium (1-3)-$\beta$-glucanase was estimated to be as low as 50$\mu$U. The procedure could be used for the investigation of (1-3)-$\beta$-glucanases in laboratories facilitated with ordinary equipments and research personnel.

Convergence study of blue light transmittance comparison between tips for light curing machine and commercially available blue light blocking lenses and yellow tinted lenses (광중합기용 팁과 시판용 청광 차단 렌즈 및 노란색 착색 렌즈의 청광 투과율 비교 융합 연구)

  • Blue light with strong energy is required for light-curing resin treatment, which is being used more frequently in dentistry. To reduce the risk of exposure to scattered light, we tried to use colored lenses. The tips for light curing machine and a commercially available yellow-type blue-light blocking lens and a yellow lens colored with yellow dye, which are expected to be effective in blocking blue light, were placed in a UV-Vis spectrometer device, and transmission and blocking of blue light were tested respectively. As a result, the average blue light blocking rate of the light curing machine tips was 99.49%, and the C lens with the highest color density among commercially available lenses showed a high blue light blocking rate of 99.54%. In the case of lenses tinted with yellow, the yellow tinted C lens with the highest tint concentration showed 87.57% of blue light blocking rate. It is judged that the side effects related to the eyes caused by blue light can be reduced if a yellow-type commercially available or colored lens is worn along with a light curing machine tip during resin treatment.

  • 삼성, LG전자 등 다양한 사업부의 White Anodizing구현기술의 Need는 항상 존재하고 있으며, 특히 White와 Black Color의 콤비네이션으로 친환경 이미지 강조 및 핸드폰의 고급화에 필연적인 메탈화로 작년부터 White Anodizing의 수요요청이 쇄도하고 있다. 그러나 현행 공업용 Anodizing 기술(황산법)은 봉공처리 전 착색공정에서 Red, Blue, Black 등 염료분자와 달리 염료 분자가 비교적 큰 White 염료는 Anodizing으로 성장된 다공성피막 내부로 들어가지 못해 국내 Anodizing전문기업 뿐만아니라 일본 기업 및 연구소 등에서도 무수한 시도를 하고 있지만 현재까지는 완벽한 White Anodizing구현기술이 전무한 상태이다. 이에 당사는 알루미늄합금을 White의 안료나 염료가 아닌 알칼리전해액의 Pulse전류인가 PEO(Plasma electrolytic oxidation)처리 공정에 의거 White Anodizing기술을 개발하고자 하였다. 알칼리 전해질에 의한 Anodizing 처리기술로 White와 유사한 색상을 구현하고 있으나, 수요자가 요구하는 White Anodizing으로 제품을 양산하는데 어려움이 있어 기존 Anodizing 처리 대신 Pulse전류인가 PEO처리기술로 White Color를 구현하여 수요요청이 쇄도한 국내외 기업체에 공급하고자 한다. 본 기술은 알카리 전해액을 사용하므로 친환경적이며, 다공성 피막으로 인한 우수한 도장 밀착성, 실링처리에 의한 내식성 향상, PEO 피막의 우수한 경도 및 내마모성 등을 나타내며, 알루미늄뿐만 아니라 마그네슘합금, 티타늄 등에도 공히 적용이 가능하며, White Anodizing의 특화된 기술로 표면처리기술 우위 선점 및 원가절감 등이 가능하다. 당사는 알루미늄 아노다이징 전문 기업으로서 내식성 목적의 연질 아노다이징 처리 및 고내마모성을 목적으로 하는 자동차 부품 및 기계 부품용 경질 아노다이징 처리를 주로 수행하고 있다. 본 발표에서는 당사의 표면처리 기술 및 알루미늄의 아노다이징에 대한 소개를 하고자 한다.

Analysis of Absorbance for Tinted Dye Absorbed into Tinted Lenses by Spectrophotometric Method (분광광도법에 의한 칼라 렌즈 내 염색제에 대한 흡광도 분석)

  • We studied absorbance of tinted dye absorbed into tinted lenses by Spectrophotometric method. Used lenses and tinted dye were CR-39 plastic optical lenses and Ons & $Lavas^{(R)}$ Blue, respectively. Absorbance values of tinted dye absorbed into tinted lenses were obtained from the differences of absorbance values between tinted lenses and CR-30 lenses. Average concentrations of tinted dye absorbed into tinted lenses were obtained from the mass differences between tinted lenses and CR-30 lenses. The relationship between absorbance and average concentration for tinted dye absorbed into tinted lenses was also confirmed to follow Beer’s law. The absorption coefficient calculated from the tangent of the calibration curve was determined to be a=0.983 $Lg^{-1}cm^{-1}$.

Characterization of Optimum Conditions Affecting Single-Color Dyeing of Cut Rose (절화장미 단색염색에 미치는 몇가지 요인의 최적조건 규명)

  • This experiment was conducted to examine the treatment conditions for single-color dyeing using the variety 'Akito' which was selected based on the flower size, density, blooming shape, elegance, expression of the dying color. The optimal conditions of dyeing rose flower were pH 3.5 under the $20-25^{\circ}C$, in which the vase life showed 15 days as longest after dyeing. The most suitable flower stage for dyeing was identified as second or third stage at which three petals of flower are opened. $10g{\cdot}L^{-1}$ concentration of dyeing solution with $2mL{\cdot}L^{-1}$ treatment of spreader for rose dyeing gave the best color performance.

Preparation of Monodisperse Blue-colored Polymeric Particles with High Zeta-potential (높은 제타전위를 갖는 단분산의 블루착색 고분자미립자의 제조)

  • Monodisperse blue-colored poly(styrene-co-acrylic acid) latices were successfully prepared by seeded emulsion polymerization. Blue-colored latices with carboxyl anionic charge on the surface were synthesized at the second stage with the introduction of Blue 606 dye, acrylic acid, and 0.21 ${\mu}m$-polystyrene seed. All the blue-colored latices synthesized in this study were in the size range of 0.25~0.42 ${\mu}m$ and all uniform with less than 1.01 in PSD. The particle size increased with the addition of acrylic acid being delayed and colloidally stable latices were obtained over 30 min after its addition. The blue-colored latex with 20 wt% acrylic acid showed -145 mV of zeta-potential and $-9.4{\times}10^{-6}\;cm^2/Vs$ of electrophoretic mobility, and with 25 wt% of DVB showed high $T_g$ at 396.7 K.

Convenient Methods for the Extraction and Discrimination of Water-Soluble Plant Pigments (수용성 식물 색소 추출 및 판별에 관한 간편한 방법)

  • The use of colorants as additives for foods and drinks is a significant factor to food consumers in determining the acceptability of processed foods. In recent years, the number of previously used artificial colorants/dyes suitable for food use has been drastically reduced as a result of toxicological studies. Therefore, the use of natural pigments such as anthocyanins and betacyanins that were known to have anticancer and antioxidant activities is increasingly required. In this study, the water-soluble plant pigments, anthocyanins and betacyanins, were easily extracted with a very simple method using a few organic solvents such as ethyl acetate, ethyl ether, and chloroform. After the extraction of them, these two major plant pigments could be also simply and rapidly separated and discriminated by a solely one-stepped agarose gel electrophoresis in a citrate buffer (pH 3.0).
