The Study of Manufacturing Technology for Front Side Member Lower (고강도 차체부품 제작 기술에 대한 연구)

  • In roll forming process, a sheet metal is continuously progressively formed into a product with required cross-section and longitudinal shape, such as a circular tube with required diameter, wall-thickness and straightness, by passing through a series of forming rolls in arranged in tandem. In recent years, that process is often applied to the bumper rail in the automotive industries. In this study, a optimal front side member manufacturing technology, model deign and proper roll-pass sequences can be suggested by forming number of roll-pass and bending angle. And also effects of the process parameters on the final shape formed by roll forming defects were evaluated.

The Characteristic of Fatigue Crack Propagation of Laser Welded Sheet Metal for Automobile Body Panel (자동차 차체제작용 레이저 용접 판재의 피로균열 전파 특성)

  • For the Tailor Welded Blank sheet used fur automobile body panel, the characteristics of fatigue crack propagation behavior were studied. The thickness of specimen was machined to be same (0.9+0.9mm) and different (0.9+2.0mm). As a base test, mechanical properties around welding zone were examined. The results indicated that there were no significant decreases in mechanical properties, but hardness around welding bead is 2.3 times greater than base material. The crack propagation rate was noticeably decreased around welding line and rapidly increased as it passed by welding line. Reviewing the shape of the crack propagation, crack width around welding line was wide around the welding zone due to retardation of crack growth, but it became narrow passing welding line due to decreased toughness. Elasto-Plastic analysis was performed by finite element analysis fur explaining the test results.

  • 국내 제조업체의 기술발달로 인해 각 산업계의 모듈 및 시스템에 대한 차체 개발과 더불어 이전 외국업체에 의해 설계된 시스템들에 대한 국산화가 많이 이루어지고 있다. 신뢰성평가에 있어서도 예전부터 수행하고 있는 부품단위의 시험평가와 더불어 최근에는 모듈 류에 대한 시험평가요구가 증가하고 있으며 특히, 이들 개발 모듈류에 대한 신뢰성확보를 위해 가속수명시험(ALT)과 초기고장을 가려내기 위한 번인(Burn-In)시험이 많이 행해지고 있다. 이들 시험을 위해서는 장시간에 걸쳐 그 모듈류의 기능을 점검하고 모니터링 할 수 있는 측정자동화 시스템이 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 이런 측정 자동화시스템 제작에 관련된 내용을 기술하고 실제 적용 사례를 제시하여 모듈류의 가속수명시 기능점검에 대해 논하였다.

  • The hybrid composite carbody structures were considered as the carbody system of Korean Tilting Train eXpress(TTX) to achieve the lightweight design. The TTX carbodies are composed of the carbody shell made of the sandwich composite structure and the undeframe made of the metal structure. The sandwich structures were used to minimize the weight of carbody, and the metal underframe was used to modify the design easily and to keep the strength of underframe by the installation of the electrical equipments. The sandwich carbody structures will be cured in an autoclave. In this paper, the manufacturing processes of the TTX carbody structures were introduced briefly.

  • This research presents the manufacturing process and the structural strength assessment for the hybrid composite carbody. In this study, the manufacturing process for carbody with length of 23m was explained. The composite carbody was fabricated as one body using autoclave with length of 30m and 5m diameter. The structural behavior of the carbody under the 3-point supporting and the natural frequency were evaluated as well. In addition, the test results were compared with the numerical one. From the tests, the structural strength of the hybrid composite carbody was assessed.

  • Recently incremental sheet metal forming (ISF) has used widely in making prototypes and small-volume products in automotive industry etc. We apply the ISF to make a 1/4 sized automobile body-in-white. First, ISF tests for rectangular shaped cup have been performed to clarify the formability denoting the relationship between the component wall angle and maximum cup height of safe forming. Next, a CAD model for the automobile was designed and segmented into several components in order to accommodate the working space of the CNC machine we adopted and the formability of the sheet metal. Then, a CAM software was employed to generate the tool path for manufacturing wooden dies and all the small parts. Finally, the different parts were joined into a single component by laser welding after the ISF process. By using the ISF we successfully produced the 1/4 sized automobile body-in-white.

  • A procedure has been developed so that a die-face for stamping automobile outer panels can be design and modelled efficiently. The procedure is composed of four parts each of which corresponds to modeling major components of a die-face, i.e. tipped product, blankholder, draw beads, and step draw. The modeling techniques developed specifically for die-face design enable a designer to generate the shape of a die-face quickly with the minimum input, and the resulting models can be used in FEM analysis and NC tool path generation. This will lead to the reductions in lead time and manhours required for the design and manufacture of the stamping dies.

Technologies for improving the running safety of a tram operating on the concrete embedded track (콘크리트 매립형 궤도를 운행하는 트램의 주행안전성 향상 기술)

  • To improve the running safety of a tram operating on a concrete embedded track, a bogie, the core system of the tram, was developed and fabricated. After it was integrated with the prototype car body, a short distance track with a sharp curve and steep gradient was constructed for the test operation. A formula to check the interference of the wheel flange with the track during running was proposed. Based on the results provided by the formula, the track was designed. Another simple formula was derived to estimate the derailment quotient and the wheel unloading ratio. During running on the track, the acceleration of the car body was measured and the interface status between the wheel and the track was monitored by a video system. According to the results calculated by these simple formulas, the derailment quotient and wheel unloading ratio were estimated to be within the safety criteria. In the actual test, no derailment occurred and the measured acceleration satisfied the criteria. Also, there was no interference between the wheel and track. The video monitoring results showed no signs of derailment, such as the climbing of the wheel. The pinion in the center showed good running safety, contacting smoothly with the rack. The measurements of environmental noise proved that the criteria were satisfied.

  • 최근 승용차의 급격한 수요증가와 더불어 차량의 승차감 개선에 많은 관심이 집중되면서, 저진동 저소음 차량에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 연구의 일부로서, 수치해석법 및 진동실험에 의하여 복잡한 전체 구조물을 해석할 경우, 계산기의 기억용량, 계산시간, 비용이 많이 들게 되고, 한번 해석을 행한 구조물을 부분적으로 변경할지라도 전체의 계산을 다시 수행해야만 한다. 그래서, 복잡한 전체 구조물을 몇 개의 부분구조물로 나누어, 분계의 특성에 맞게 각기 수치해석법이나 모달실험을 적용한 후, 다시 합성하는 방법이 제시되었는데, 이것이 부분구조합성법이다. 이 방법을 사용하면, 유한요소 모델링이 쉬운 분계와 실험이 쉬운 분계를 서로 구분하여 각기 해석한 후 합성함으로써, 각 분계의 특성에 맞는 효율적인 해석을 수행할 수가 있다. 지금까지의 연구를 살펴보면, 유한요소해석에 의한 모드합성법에서는 Hurty가 구속모드법을 제안한 이래, 불구속모드법, 주종계법 등 많은 연구가 있었으나, 실험모달해석을 병행할 경우에는 결합부에서의 회전자유도의 처리문제, 특성 행렬의 동정문제, 많은 절점으로부터 데이타를 얻어야 하는 등의 어려움이 있었다. 이러한 문제를 개선시켜서 Hermanski등은 회전자유도가 보간된 모드합성법(interpolated mode synthesis, IMS)을 연구하여, 적은 실험데이타만을 사용하면서 단순지지 보에 적용함으로써 타당성을 입증하였다. 한편, 차체는 복잡한 부분구조물들로 이루어져 있으므로, 본 연구에서는 유한요소모델링의 용이함, 실험의 간편성, 계산의 효율성등을 추구하며, 실험과 유한요소해석을 병행한 부분구조합성법을 차량의 BIW(body in white)에 적용하는 방법을 연구하게 되었다. 그 기본연구로서 실험과 유한요소해석을 병행하여 회전자유도를 보간하는 방법을 먼저 단순한 판구조물에 적용을 하고, 나아가 실제 BIW를 축소하여 자체 제작한 모형차에 적용시켜 보았다.물은 분계 A(16개의 사각요소)와 분계 B(8개의 사각요소)로 이루어져 있으며 두개의 스프링으로 결합되어 있다. 설계변수는 강성에 국한하였으며 결합부의 결합형태는 탄성결합과 강결합으로 하였다. 감도해석과 축소임피던스 합성법에 의해 구해진 고유진동수와 FRF를 상용 유한 요소 해석 패키지인 MSC/NASTRAN을 통하여 검증하여 이 연구의 타당성을 검토하였다.인풋기어에서의 회전수 변동을 측정하고, 이 실험 데이타를 기초로 하여 엔진 토크 및 변속기에서의 드래그 토크를 계산하여 엔진-변속기 인풋기어의 반한정계 2자유도 진동모델과 비틀림 특성을 가진 클러치 디스크의 프리댐퍼 영역에 대해 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 클러치 비틀림 기구의 설계인자인 비틀림 강성, 히스테리시스 토크에 따른 비틀림 진동 저감 효과를 연구하고자 한다.성을 확인하였다. 여기서는 실험실 수준의 평 판모델을 제작하고 실제 현장에서 이루어질 수 있는 진동제어 구조물에 대 한 동적실험 및 FRS를 수행하는 과정과 동일하게 따름으로써 실제 발생할 수 있는 오차나 error를 실험실내의 차원에서 파악하여 진동원을 있는 구조 물에 대한 진동제어기술을 보유하고자 한다. 이용한 해마의 부피측정은 해마경화증 환자의 진단에 있어 육안적인 MR 진단이 어려운 제한된 경우에만 실제적 도움을 줄 수 있는 보조적인 방법으로 생각된다.ofile whereas relaxivity at high field is not affected by τS.
