Effects of TMR Feeding Using Italian Ryegrass Silage and Hay of Those Dried by Hot-Air Dry System on Rumination Activity, Milk Productivity and Economic Feasibility in Holstein Dairy Cows (국내산 이탈리안 라이그라스 사일리지와 열풍 건초 위주의 TMR 급여가 홀스타인 착유우의 반추 활동량, 우유 생산성 및 경제성 분석에 미치는 영향)

  • The objective of this study was to compare the feeding effects of imported timothy hay, domestic Italian ryegrass silage (IRGS) and IRG dried by hot-air dry system (IRGHDS) under basic total mixed ration (bTMR) on rumination activity, milk production, and milk composition in lactating dairy cows. Eighteen Holstein dairy cows were divided into three groups: control (bTMR + imported timothy hay), treatment 1 (bTMR + IRGS) and treatment 2 (TMR + IRGHDS) groups. The study was conducted over a total period of 24 days, including a 10 days adaptation period and a 14 days main experimental period. The results indicate body weight was not significantly different between the three groups (p>0.05), and rumination time was significantly higher in the treatment 1 group compared with the control group (p<0.001). Milk fat, protein, and lactose were not significantly different between the three groups (p>0.05), however, somatic cell counts were significantly lower in the treatment 1 group compared with the control group (p<0.001). As a result of the economic feasibility analysis, it is expected that feeding TMR using IRGS and IRGHDS will increase profit by 402.8 won/day and 331.4 won/day per cow compared to imported timothy hay. Therefore, IRGS and IRGHDS can be used as substitutes for imported timothy hay in feeding lactating dairy cows.

  • Nowadays, technological differences between companies have decreased and products launched show more resemblance to each other. As an alternative plan companies started developing brands. The excellence in quality of a product from a company could be easily copied, but the formless value, brand, cannot be imitated easily. More importantly, in the globally competing generation the brand provides distinctiveness and gives a solution to the relationship between consumers. Also the design image takes a big part in a company's competitiveness. The design image that represents the company reflects the brand, and it reflects the image and the philosophy of the company. And the images of each product influence the brand. Also an effective delivery of a product image would give a synergistic effect on the brand. A company could build this design identity to elevate the brand. Therefore, the identity of design image reflects the brand. Therefore a study on the area of the absence and misled identity of design image is important. This study is fixed on the idea of, development of brand to increase competitiveness, and the affiliation of design image with the identity of the brand. This study, on the basis of preceding research and theoretical background, aims to find the design identity area focusing on the product design image of the product purchased by the consumer. Firstly, we need to examine the affinity of the product image from the consumer, and analyse the direction of images to offer a solution that could advance the design identity strategy.

Antimicrobial Effects of Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) Extracts (티트리 (Melaleuca alternifolia) 추출물의 항균 활성)

  • Melaleuca alternifolia contains terpineol-4, cineol, sesquiterpenes etc., and has a germicidal effect and skin moisturizing effect. It also has the characteristics of relieving acne inflammation, treating dandruff, relieving pain, and relieving depression. In this study, an antimicrobial substance extracted from tea tree using an organic solvent (methanol, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate) and hydrothermal extraction method. And confirmed the antimicrobial activity of each extract. In order to verify the antimicrobial activity, nine pathogenic bacteria (Bacillus cereus, Bacillus subtilis, Listeria monocytogenes, Enterococcus faecalis, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Vibrio parahaemolyticus) were used. The antimicrobial activity of each extracts were confirmed by the commonly used disc diffusion method. The results showed that the fraction extracts of ethyl acetate and methanol had antimicrobial effects against V. parahaemolyticus and S. aureus. Using these results, we confirmed the antimicrobial activity of each fraction extracts and hot water extracts against V. parahaemolyticus. After the treat of samples, we confirmed at over 99.9 % of antimicrobial activity. In case of antifungal activities, we confirmed of preservation effect during over 45 hours. Based on the results of this research, further studies will be conducted to confirm the possibility of development as a new antimicrobial agent.

기술 스타트업의 산업별 차이에 따른 투자유치성과 결정요인 비교분석 연구

  • 최근 딥테크 및 글로벌 스타트업들의 기술경쟁력 제고를 위한 국가적 지원이 증대함에 따라 원천기술을 보유한 기술창업 건 수역대급으로 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 기술 기업들은 사업의 다각화 및 글로벌 진출에 유리하다는 장점이 있으나, 이들의 전략 성공을 위해서는 체계적인 인큐베이팅 및 자금유치는 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 첨단 가술스타트업의 투자유치성과에 중요하게 여겨지는 요인들이 IT 및 BT 산업별로 어떻게 다르게 영향을 미치고 있는지를 연구하는 목적으로 하고 있다. 선행연구에 따르면 기술 스타트업에 대해서는 그들이 보유한 기술 역량(특허), 창업자/팀의 능력, 제휴 등을 중요한 자원으로 보고 있으며, 이는 기업의 퀄리티를 차별화하는 신호로 작용하여 투자유치에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 국내 기술 스타트업의 산업별 차이에 따라 기술 스타트업의 특성이 투자유치성가에 미치는 영향을 비교분석하고자 한다. 본 연구는 2022년 기준 서울시 창업지원시설에 입주한 스타트업 122개사를 대상으로, 전 산업을 대상으로 한 회귀분석모델과 글로벌 산업기술 분류 기준에 따라 구분된 BT 및 IT 산업만을 대상으로 한 회귀분석 모델을 설정하여 연구목적을 규명하고자 한다. 본 연구 결과는 국내 기술스타트업의 투자유치 의사결정에 대한 실증분석을 통하여 기존 이론을 검증하였다는 것에 의의가 있으며, 산업별로 투자유치에서 중요하게 고려하는 요소들이 다르게 작용할 수 있음을 밝히고 산업별 특성에 따라 투자유치 시 실질적으로 필요한 요소들을 제시한다는데 실무적인 시사점을 지니고 있다.

Comparison of Methane Production of Holstein Steers Fed Forage and Concentrates Separately or As a TMR (TMR과 조사료 농후사료 분리급여 방식의 홀스타인 거세우 메탄배출량 비교)

  • The objective of this study was to determine how feeding forage and concentrate separately (SF) or as a total mixed ration (TMR) affects enteric methane production of cattle. Six Holstein steers ($203{\pm}22.5kg$) were used in a $2{\times}3$ changeover design experiment. Experimental diets (TMR and SF) consisted of compound feed, timothy hay and soybean curd residue in a ratio of 40:48:12, respectively, and diets were fed at 10% of metabolic body weight, on an as-fed basis. There were no differences in dry matter intake and enteric methane production (g/d) between SF and TMR but the methane conversion rate (methane energy/GE intake) of TMR was significantly higher (p=0.05) than that of SF. The mean methane emission factor (kg/head/year) and conversion rate of the two treatments were 21.4 and 0.05, respectively. There was a strong relationship between metabolic body weight and enteric methane production (p<0.001). At the present time, further studies may be necessary in order to establish the effects of TMR and SF on enteric methane production.

  • 본 특집은 지방시대에 지역건축문화가 어떻게 변화하고 정착되고 있는가? 그 지역만의 갖고 있는 도시+건축문화의 아이덴티티는 무엇이고, 현대화과정에서 그 지역의 고유한 문화경관요소가 개발과 보존이라는 병립된 사회요구속에서 어떻게 적응되고 있는가에 대해 살펴봄을 의도하고 있다. 특히 백제문화권의 중심도시인 아산, 부여, 공주의 도시특성을 이루고 있는 도시공간구조 및 구성요소와 그 속에 내포되어 있는 문화경관요소의 현황을 살펴본다. 본고는 현대화하는 과정 속에서 전통성이 있는 문화요소를 지역성의 개념과 상관적으로 관련시켜 정리하기 위한 것이다. 문화가 지역을 초월하여 국제적으로 교류되면서, 생활의 편익성을 추구하는 현대인들은 국가와 민족의 차이를 넘어 동일한 지구문화형성의 과정으로 급속히 진행하고 있다. 현대화는 서구화라는 등식은 서구문화의 간결한 편익성이 낳은 전세계적 현상이다. 따라서 현대화를 생활의 변화로 이해할 때에 전통논의의 여유가 있고, 전통논의에 대한 객관성이 있으며, 편협된 전통관으로부터 자유로와질 수 있다. 시간의 변화에 따라서 생활이 변하고, 특히 생활을 담는 그룻으로서 건축환경이 변한다. 오랜 시간을 통해서 서서히 건축환경이 변하지만, 누적된 변화는 커다란 차이로서 나타나고, 이에 따라 적응과정에서의 여러 문제점이 발생한다. 그러므로 현재까지 많이 논의되어온 보전과 보존의 방법론적 세분화에 의한 적극적인 대책이 요구되는 시점에 있다고 할 수 있다. 해서 '전통성을 갖춘' 도시ㆍ건축구조물을 단순한 유적, 유물로 보존할 것인가, 실생활과 관련된 생활과 함께 하는 문화현상으로 적응시킬 것인가 하는 문제점이 우리의 과제인 것이다.

Typography by Guillaume Apolinaire and Filippo Marinetti (기욤 아폴리네르와 필리포 마리네티의 타이포그래피)

  • Guillaume Apolinaire and Filippo Marinetti who are pioneers of the early 20 century in point of breaking traditional typographic rules and making particular typographic communication styles,have considered as the same categorytypoillustration or pictorial typography-in other studies evenif they have' particular differences. Their chromcal and theoretical background, works, exPressive materials and methods and the values were analyzed through thesis, books, periodicals and internet materials, and researched the characteristics. There are clear differences in the view of arranging type; expressive materials, sentence struction, layout. The most important differences are concrete expression by Apolinaire and abstract expression by Marinetti . These differences and characteristics made the base of Dada typography and the concrete typogaphers as Bradbury Thompson and Herb Lubalin were influenced by Apolinaire, abstract typographers as Piet Zwart and Neville Brody were influenced by Marinetti.

Water-Cooler Effect in Informal Communication at Work : Focusing on Kakao Talk of Smart-Phone User (업무 중 비공식적 커뮤니케이션의 워터쿨러 효과 : 스마트폰 사용자의 카카오톡을 중심으로)

  • This research is to investigate the impact of informal communication of smart-phone user while at work on performance. To do this, we proposed the research model including informal offline communication represented by tea time and informal online communication typified by Kakao talk derived from water-cooler effect. The results of this empirical study is summarized as followings. First, Kakao talk with insiders has a positive effect on performance only in male group, and Kakao talk with outsiders has a negative effect on performance in both male and female group. Secondly, tea time has a positive effect on performance in group with high task interdependence, whereas Kakao talk with insiders has a positive effect on performance in group with low task interdependence. The findings have significant implications for policy development to regulate the wise smart-phone use in organization.

A Study on the Effectiveness of Pet Naming Types Using Celebrity Endorser (유명인을 이용한 제품 애칭화 유형에 따른 소비자 반응 연구)

  • This study identifies the pet-name using the celebrity's endorser and the pet-naming effect by the subject of creating brand identity. For this study, pet-naming types are made up of 3 types(non pet-named/pet-naming by company intention/pet-naming by customer's word of mouth). As the results of this study, pet-naming types affects the perceived value. The perceived value has a perfect mediating effect between pet-naming types and consumer response. Also, the level of informative interpersonal influence has significant interaction effect between pet-naming types and perceived value. The research, therefore, reaches several important conclusions. First, when the pet-naming types were consisted, customer's brand identity creating phenomenon was included. Second, pet-naming types affects the confirmed perceived value which is the customer's view. Third, susceptibility to interpersonal influence was differently identified with normative interpersonal influences and informative interpersonal influences. Furthermore, this study analyzes the market's behavior trends, and in extend the progression of pet-name marketing.

DRAM Buffer Data Management Techniques to Enhance SSD Performance (SSD 성능 향상을 위한 DRAM 버퍼 데이터 처리 기법)

  • To adjust the difference of bandwidth between host interface and NAND flash memory, DRAM is adopted as the buffer management in SSD (Solid-state Disk). In this paper, we propose cost-effective techniques to enhance SSD performance instead of using expensive high bandwidth DRAM. The SSD data can be classified into three groups such as user data, meta data for handling user data, and FEC(Forward Error Correction) parity/ CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) for error control. In order to improve the performance by considering the features of each data, we devise a flexible burst control method through monitoring system and a page based FEC parity/CRC application. Experimental results show that proposed methods enhance the SSD performance up to 25.9% with a negligible 0.07% increase in chip size.
