  • The future of human life is expected to be innovative by increasing social, economic, political and personal, including all areas of life across the multi-disciplinary skills. Particularly, in the field of robotics and next-generation games with robots, by multidisciplinary contributions and interaction, convergence between technology is expected to accelerate more and more. The purpose of this study is that by new interface model beyond the technical limitations of the "human-robot interface technology," until now and time and spatial constraints and through fusion of various modalities which existing human-robot interface technologies can't have, the research of more reliable and easy free "human-robot interface technology". This is the research of robot game system which develop and utilizing real time synchronization engine linking between biped humanoid robot and the behavior of the position value of mobile device screen's 3D content (contents), robot (virtual robots), the wireless protocol for sending and receiving (Protocol) mutual information and development of a teaching program of "Direct Teaching & Play" by the study for effective teaching.

A Dynamic Limited Contention-based Algorithm for Fast Registration in UTIS (UTIS에서 효율적인 등록을 위해 동적으로 그룹 크기를 조절하는 제한적 경쟁 알고리즘)

  • 본 논문에서는 차세대 지능형 교통시스템인 UTIS(Urban Traffic Information System)의 빠른 접속 요구 조건을 만족하기 위한 DLC(Dynamic Limited Contention) 알고리즘을 제안한다. UTIS 네트워크는 고속으로 이동하는 차량에 설치된 모바일 노드와 도로 변에 설치된 노변 기지국으로 구성되며, 이 네트워크를 통해서 IP 데이터 그램의 전송 서비스, 방송 데이터를 실시간으로 전송하는 실시간 전송 서비스 그리고 차량의 위치를 계속적으로 알려 주는 위치 탐색 서비스를 지원한다. 이러한 전송 서비스를 지원하기 위해서 UTIS는 물리 계층과 MAC 계층으로 구성된다. 그러나 UTIS에서는 차량의 고속 이동으로 인해서 셀(cell)간의 핸드오프가 빈번히 발생하고 또한 위치 추적과 방송 서비스와 같은 실시간 전송 서비스를 지원해야 하기 때문에 기존의 802.11 MAC을 사용할 수 없다. 즉 UTIS에서의 빠른 등록 요구 조건을 충족시키기 위해 기존의 802.11에서 사용하는 경쟁(contention) 방식은 비효율적이다. 본 논문에서는 셀 내에 도착하는 노드 수에 따라 경쟁을 하는 그룹의 크기를 동적으로 조절하는 DLC 알고리즘을 제안한다. 기존의 UTIS에서는 그룹 크기를 정적으로 결정하고 모바일 노드는 자신의 주소에 이 정적 그룹 크기로 modulo하여 자신의 속한 그룹을 초기에 계산한다. 기지국이 접속해야하는 그룹을 폴링 메시지로 지정할 때 그 그룹에 속한 모바일 노드들만이 제한적으로 경쟁하게 된다. 이러한 정적인 그룹 크기는 셀 내에의 노드의 숫자와 그룹 크기의 분포를 고려하지 않는 방식으로 비효율적이다. 본 DLC 알고리즘에서는 전 폴링 주기 동안에 경쟁하는 노드의 빈도수를 계속적으로 추적하여 등록 시점에 경쟁하는 그룹의 개수를 동적으로 조절하게 된다. 이러한 방식은 UTIS와 같이 접속 시간이 제한적이고 접속하려는 노드 수가 빠르게 변화하는 환경 하에서 기존의 802.11 MAC 프로토콜과 정적인 그룹 크기 방식에 비해 효율적이다.

  • The purpose of this study to embody LED visible light communication visual signal delivery system based on TFT-LCD module and to analyze a performance for digital signals. LED lighting enables to transmit data through light, to embody visible light communication, and to control lights in different wavelengths according to LED materials and structural materials. In this study, we aim to create a transmitting and receiving sensor that has implemented LED and visual sensors to LED efficiency and existing TFT-LCD module so as to estimate and indicate a communication distance and to find out application methods and problems. Also, by implementing TFT-LCD technology and next-generation LED visual communication technology, this study aims to check the possibility of technological realization by applying them to various means of communication including ubiquitous communication.

A Handover Method Based on the Position Information of a Mobile Terminal (이동 단말기의 위치 정보를 이용한 핸드오버 방법)

  • It is widely accepted that the coverage with high user densities in mobile multimedia environments can only be achieved with small cell such as micro- and pico-cell. The smaller cell size causes frequent handovers between cells and a decrease in the permissible handover processing delay. This may result in the handover failure, in addition to the loss of some packets during the handover. In these cases, re-transmission is needed in order to compensate errors, which triggers a rapid degradation of throughput. In this paper, we propose a new handover scheme in the next generation mobile communication systems, in which the handover setup process is done in advance before a handover request by predicting the handover cell based on mobile terminal's current position and moving direction. Simulation is focused on the handover failure rate and packet loss rate. The simulation results show that our proposed method provides a better performance than the conventional method.

  • In this paper, we Propose an efficient scheduler well suited for the next-generation wireless networks that can support multimedia traffic having various requirements. The scheduler is designed to provide each of multimedia classes with differentiated services. In particular, the scheduler is intended to maximize throughput and minimize packet loss ratio. To apply the scheduler, we suppose that the wireless network is based on TDD/CDMA system The scheduler assigns a packet in a dedicated uplink-slot to the user within a frame to operate scheduling of packets transmitted by the users belonging to the specific class in an efficient manner. Such a manner also enables the scheduler to meet different QoS requirements. The paper also includes performance comparison with other schemes and analysis of the proposed scheduling algorithm by using simulation. We also analyze the proposed scheme by using simulation. The simulation compares the proposed scheduling algerian with previously proposed schemes in terms of the performance.

An Adaptive Cell Selection Scheme for Ultra Dense Heterogeneous Mobile Communication Networks (초밀집 이종 이동 통신망을 위한 적응형 셀 선택 기법)

  • As smart-phones become popular, mobile data traffic has been dramatically increasing and intensive researches on the next-generation mobile communication network is in progress to meet the increasing demand for mobile data traffic. In particular, heterogeneous network (HetNet) is attracting much interest because it can significantly enhance the network capacity by increasing the spatial reuse with macro and small cells. In the HetNet, we have several problems such as load imbalance and interference because of the difference in transmit power between macro and small cells and cell range expansion (CRE) can mitigate the problems. In this paper, we propose a new cell selection scheme with adaptive cell range expansion bias (CREB) for ultra dense HetNet and we analyze the performance of the proposed scheme in terms of average cell transmission rate through system-level simulations and compare it with those of other schemes.

Bus Architecture Analysis for Hardware Implementation of Computer Generated Hologram (컴퓨터 생성 홀로그램의 하드웨어 구현을 위한 버스 구조 분석)

  • Recently, holography has received much attention as the next generation visual technology. Hologram is obtained by the optical capturing, but in recent years it is mainly produced by the method using computer. This method is named by computer generated hologram (CGH). Since CGH requires huge computational amount, if it is implemented by S/W it can't work in real time. Therefore it should use FPGA or GPU for real time operation. If it is implemented in the type of H/W, it can't obtain the same quality as S/W due to the bit limitation of the internal system. In this paper, we analyze the bit width for minimizing the degradation of the hologram and reducing more hardware resources and propose guidelines for H/W implementation of CGH. To do this, we performs fixed-points simulations according to main internal variables and arithmetics, analyze the numerical and visual results, and present the optimal bit width according to application fields.

  • In the focusing on the important of wireless internet, mobile terminal device plays a central role in tracking and coordinating terms in mobile business processing. Especially, mobile device has been considered as a key technology for embedded software and ubiquitous era. Because existing web environments is moving to wireless internet, the new concepts for wireless internet computing environments has gained increasing interest. Mobile agents provide a new abstraction for deploying over the existing infrastructures. Mobile application systems require the flexibility, adaptability, extensibility, and autonomous. New software developments methodology is required to meet the requirements. In this paper, we present an agent architectures model that allows compassable components with pluggable and independable. Our approach involves wrapping components inside a servlet. We have used the model and components to develop the PDA mobile agent.

  • In this paper, we designed the outer encoder/decoder for the terrestrial DMB that is an advanced digital broadcasting standard, implemented, and verified by using ALTERA FPGA. In the encoder part, it was created the parity bytes (16 bytes) from the input packet (188by1e) of MPEG-2 TS and the encoded data was distributed output by the convolutional interleaver for Preventing burst errors. In the decoder part, It was proposed the algorithm that detects synchronous character suitable to DMB in transmitted data from the encoder. The circuit complexity in RS decoder was reduced by applying a modified Euclid's algorithm. This system has a capability to correct error of the maximum 8 bytes in a packet. After the outer encoder/decoder algorithm was verified by using C language, described in VHDL and implemented in the ALTERA FPGA chips.

  • Recently, it is increasing the interest in previous web and web 2.0 which mean differentiation. The previous system is typical Static web based on client and server model, while web 2.0 mean next generation web which web change and evolve fundamentally. In this paper, I suggest that the module on RSS reader available under web 2.0 standards. A currently used RSS feed do correct the part distortion which can be possible resolve the encoding problem of Hanguel and third-world language. The suggested module is implemented using Ajax. I developed the module for the use of effective contents on web 2.0 through the DragBox module based on the programming on mobility of Ajax and the design and implementation of automatic update module of RSS feed.
