In this study, we investigated the effects of perceived health and ageism experience of the elderly on successful aging, which were respectively presumed as predictors of biomedical model and psychosocial model of the successful aging. As important research results, firstly, negligence among ageism experience constructs appeared higher than other discriminatory experiences. Secondly, male showed significantly higher discriminatory experience than female in the area of 3 constructs such as property, negligence and employment ageism. Also there were some different discriminative experiences in the area of perceived health and ageism in terms of age, wealth and education. Finally, the results of hierarchical multiple regression hired to find out factors influencing successful aging showed that the factors such as sex, wealth, perceived health and property discrimination of ageism affected successful ageing. Based on the analytic results, we verified that perceived health, i.e., predictor of biomedical model had higher effect on successful aging than ageism experience, i.e., predictor of psychosocial model of successful aging. Thus, it was suggested that health promotion policy should be considered with priority and also combating ageism as well for successful aging.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the path that the elderly discrimination experiences and sense of loss lead to suicidal ideation by verifying the influence of the elderly's discrimination experience on suicidal ideation and the mediating effect of sense of loss. To this end, questionnaire a survey was conducted on 400 elderly people aged 65 years or older who used 10 elderly welfare centers using stratified sampling of 31 cities, counties, and districts in Gyeonggi-do. Additionally, a total of 380 samples were finally analyzed excluding dishonest responses. As a result of the study, first, the more individual and social discrimination experiences, which are sub-factors of the elderly discrimination experience, increased suicidal ideation. Second, individual discrimination experiences were found to has a static effect on suicidal ideation through partial mediation of sense of loss. Third, the experience of social discrimination showed a static effect on suicidal ideation by perfect mediating the sense of loss. Therefore, it was found that the sense of loss acts as a risk factor for the elderly's suicidal ideation. Based on the research results, the urgent need for institutional supplementation to prevent the elderly's social discrimination experiences was suggested, and practical implications for preventing elderly suicide by resolving the sense of loss in the elderly welfare practice field were suggested.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the middle-aged Korean's experience discriminated level on the acts of discrimination against the elderly, and moderating effect of the awareness of social status of the aged. The subjects were 509 middle-aged(40-54 years old) from the Korean General Social Survey(KGSS)(2011). This study applied descriptive analyses, correlation analysis and multi-regression with STATA14. The results showed that the level of discrimination against the elderly was 2.20points(5 points), and awareness of elderly's social status was 2.45 points (4 points). Middle-aged Korean's experience discriminated was 0.74. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that discriminatory experiences affect positively on discrimination against the elderly. However, the awareness of elderly' social status had a negative interaction effect on the relationship between discriminatory experiences and discrimination against the elderly. Discrimination against the elderly was increased when the level of experience of discrimination was high and the social status of the aged was low. Based on the results, this study suggested practical and political opinions for reducing Discrimination against the elderly.

The objective of this study is to understand the influence of discrimination experience on life satisfaction of the employed hearing-impaired, and also to verify the mediating effects of self-esteem on relations between discrimination experience and life satisfaction. To achieve this objective, the data of the 8th Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled was used, and then the extracted data of 234 employed hearing-impaired persons was used for analysis. The results of this study are like below. First, discrimination experience showed negative(-) relations with self-esteem and life satisfaction while self-esteem showed positive(+) relations with life satisfaction. Second, when the perception of discrimination experience was low, the life satisfaction was high. Third, the mediating effects of self-esteem were verified on relations between discrimination experience and life satisfaction. Marital status, health, social-economical position has effected on life satisfaction. Based on such results of the study, suggestions were made to increase life satisfaction of the hearing-impaired.

This study was performed to identify the discrimination experience, and life satisfaction of international marriage women as well as the correlation between the two variables. A total of 108 international marriage women from multicultural family support centers in A city agreed to participate in the survey. The results of study were as follows. The average point of discrimination experience of international marriage women was 2.15 and the life satisfaction was 3.93. Discrimination experience correlated negatively with the life satisfaction (r=-.289, p<.001). Discrimination experience (${\beta}=.312$, p=.030) of international marriage women was identified as a significant predictor of life satisfaction, i.e., discrimination experience affects the life satisfaction. Therefore, this study recommends programs can regulate the discrimination experience to improve life satisfaction.

The purpose of this study was to ascertain the multiple mediating effect of mental health, which is composed of depression, disability acceptance, social-economic position, life satisfaction, on the relationship between disability discrimination and job satisfaction against wage earners with disabilities. A data of 992 wage earners with disabilities which derived from the fourth wave panel data provided at Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled were utilized. SPSS 20.0 and SPSS Indirect macro was conducted, and the results were verified by SPSS 20.0 and SPSS Indirect macro. The results were as follows : (1) Depression influenced between disability discrimination and job satisfaction directly or indirectly. (2) Disability acceptance mediated between disability discrimination and job satisfaction. (3) Social-economic position mediated between disability discrimination and job satisfaction. (4) Life satisfaction mediated between disability discrimination and job satisfaction. Based on the results, Based on the results, it suggested some methods of ascent of job satisfaction for wage earners with disabilities.

This study investigated the impact of the experience of being discriminated on their actual experience of discrimination, and verified the moderating effect of the education for human rights. The data used in this study were sampled from the 2014 children and youth human rights survey of Korea National Youth Policy Institute, and 4,023 students in middle or high school were selected for the final data analysis. The moderation model was analyzed by applying SPSS PROCESS macro. The analysis suggested the following. First, it was shown that the experience of being discriminated and the level of help and frequency of the education for human rights were significantly distinguished in the statistics. Second, even though the experience of being discriminated and the level of help of the education for human rights meaningfully influenced the experience of discrimination, frequency of education did not. Third, it was verified that the level of help from education of human rights moderates the relationship between the experience of discrimination and the experience of being discriminated. It also showed that the higher the level of help is, the more the experience of being discriminated exerts influence on the experience of discrimination. Thus, on the basis of the results, the theoretical discussion on the youth discrimination was drawn out and the practical implication on the direction of the education for human rights was suggested.

This paper explores the how the disability type, severeness and economic activeness affects marital satisfaction, and seeks to improve marital satisfaction among disabled by clarifying mediating effects of discriminatory experiences in everyday experiences. This research was done with 3,463 married disabled who were prone to everyday discrimination, among whom were enrolled in research database of Employment Development Institute of Korea Employment Promotion Agency for the Disabled. The research showed positive effects between marital satisfaction and everyday discriminatory experience except for unemployed people and severe among all the disabled type (external disability, sensory disability, mental disability, internal disability), disability severeness (severe and light), and economic activeness (paid workers, self-employed, home-worker, unemployed, not economically active). Also, relationship between disability type, severeness, economical activeness and marital satisfaction was partly mediated through everyday discriminatory experiences. Therefore, active movements to reduce everyday discrimination are strongly advised.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the general characteristics, working condition, discrimination experience and job engagement of office workers and to examine the effect of discrimination experience on job engagement. This study was the secondary analysis of date from the fifth Korean Working Conditions Survey and the subjects included 6,718 office workers. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, x²-test, t-test, and complex samples general linear model(CSGLM). As a result, job engagement was high when they never experienced discrimination. Based on the results of this study, in order to improve job engagement of office workers, manage to prevent discrimination in the workplace should be included.
