자율주행자동차를 위한 차세대 E/E(Electric/Electronic) 아키텍처 설계 동향

  • 본 논문에서는 차량 내에서 중요성이 증가하고 있는 전기전자 시스템을 효율적으로 설계하기 위해서 진행되고 있는 E/E 아키텍처 설계에 대해서 소개한다. 먼저 차세대 E/E 아키텍처를 설계하기 위한 요소기술로 와이어링 하네스의 설계, 표준회로를 적용한 표준제어기, 소프트웨어 플랫폼 및 E/E 아키텍처 평가기술에 대해서 각각 설명하였다. 다음으로 E/E 아키텍처 설계를 위해서 필요한 차량용 내부 네트워크 기술에 대한 최근의 국제표준화 동향을 살펴보고 세부기술에 대해서 소개하였다. 마지막으로 시스템레벨에서의 최적화를 고려하여 설계한 차세대 E/E 아키텍처의 설계방안에 대해서 기술하였다.

  • 본고에서는 차량 내 운전자 제스처 인식을 위한 웨어러블 디바이스 플랫폼과 차량 시스템 모델을 소개한다. 특히 저가형 가속도, 자이로스코프 센서를 적용한 웨어러블 디바이스용 HW를 설계하고, 제스처 인식률을 높이기 위한 SW 시스템 및 알고리즘에 대해 설명한다. 운전 중 가장 많이 제어하는 편의 기능을 기준으로 제스처를 구분하고, 제스처 마다 발생하는 센서 값의 특징을 이용해 잡음에 강한 제스처 인식 시스템에 대해 설명한다. 마지막에 진행한 본 논문의 실험을 통해 본 고에서 설명한 제스처 인식 시스템이 잡음과 방향성을 갖는 동작인식에 강함을 확인할 수 있다.

  • 최근 이동전화의 사용이 급격히 확산됨에 따라 핸즈프리 단말기를 이용한 전화통신의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 차량내 핸즈프리 통신상황의 경우 근거리에 위치한 스피커와 마이크로폰의 커플링에 의해 발생하는 음향반향과 차량내에 존재하는 배경잡음은 통화 품질을 크게 저하시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이동통신에 적합한 음향반향제거기와 잡음제거기의 결합시스템을 제안하고, 이를 고정 소수점 DSP를 이용하여 실시간 구현하였다. 실시간 구현을 위하여 음향반향제거기에는 NLMS 알고리즘에 의해 구동되는 제한된 차수의 적응반향제거기법을 사용하였다. 잔여반향 및 배경잡음제거를 위해 CDMA방식의 셀룰라 이동통신에 사용되는IS-127 EVRC음성 부호화기의 표준안에 포함된 잡음제거방식을 사용하였다. 제안된 시스템을 16 비트 고정소수점DSP인 OAK DSP Core를 이용하여 약 18.6MIPS의 연산량으로 실시간 구현되었다.

  • FMCW(Frequency Modulation Continuous Wave) Radar is very useful for vehicle collision warning system because of the simplicity. In this work, a signal processing part of FMCW vehicle radar system is implemented with flexibility using DSP, FPGA, ADC, and DAC so that the system could adopt lots of algorithm and could be improved through road test. It is shown that the system meets basic requirements as designed, and finds some problems in road test. We briefly discuss the problem which are caused by shadow effect from overlapped target and the distortion of beat frequency from the nonlinearity of VCO and the RCS of vehicle.

  • This paper introduce UHF miniaturized RFID tag antenna which is embedded on the seal-bolt or plastic bolt for automobile plate. To detect the illegal and un-registered car, the illegal automobile detection system has been developed using the seal-bolt UHF RIF tag antenna. The diameter of seal-bolt UHF tag is about 24mm, almost the same size as 100 Won coin. The simulated and measured reflection coefficient are compared, and the reading range patten is also measured. If seal-bolt tag is embedded on car plate, police can get information of automobile and detect illegal vehicles easily with the illegal automobile detection system.

  • With the development of water internet technology, data communication between objects is expanding. Research related to data communication technology between vehicles that incorporates related technologies into vehicles has been actively conducted. For data communication between mobile terminals, data stability, reliability, and real-time performance must be guaranteed. The 5 GHz Wi-Fi band, which is advantageous in bandwidth, communications speed, and wireless saturation of the wireless network, was selected as the data communications network between vehicles. This study analyzes how to design and implement a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network in a vehicle network. Considering the characteristics of the mobile communication terminal device, a continuous variable communications structure is proposed to enable high-speed data switching. We simplify the access point access procedure to reduce the latency between wireless terminals. By limiting the Transmission Control Protocol Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)-based Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server function and implementing it in a broadcast transmission protocol method, communication delay between terminal devices is improved. Compared to the general commercial Wi-Fi communication method, the connection operation and response speed have been improved by five seconds or more. Utilizing this method can be applied to various types of event data communication between vehicles. It can also be extended to wireless data-based intelligent road networks and systems for autonomous driving.

WAVE System Performance for Platooning Vehicle Service Requirements Under Highway Environments (고속도로 환경에서 군집주행 서비스 요구사항에 대한 WAVE 통신시스템 성능 분석)

  • This paper analyzes the performance limit of WAVE system for the platooning service requirements which is referred from the de facto standards. The performance of the packet error rate and mean delay as key parameters in the wireless communication systems should be satisfied to provide safety to the platooning vehicles. The test scenarios are conducted by considering the following vehicle groups: platooning vehicles, vehicles within a hop distance and vehicles within two hop distance( called hidden node vehicles). The models of packet error rate and delay deals with the topology of aforementioned vehicle groups, vehicle speed and communication range. The numerical results are obtained in terms of packet size, packet arrival rate and data transmission rate. Finally, this paper suggests the robust range of packet error rate and delay for the WAVE system to provide the platooning vehicle service.

  • Automotive ECU integrates CPU core, IVN controller, memory interface, sensor interface, I/O interface, and so on. Current automotive ECUs are often developed with proprietary processor architectures. However, demends for standard processors such as ARM and RISC-V increase rapidly for saftware compatibility in autonomous vehicles and connected cars. In this paper, an automotive ECU is designed for parking assist system based on RISC-V with open instruction set architecture. It includes 32b RISC-V CPU core, IVN controllers such as CAN and LIN, memory interfaces such as ROM and SRAM, and I/O interfaces such as SPI, UART, and I2C. Fabricated in 65nm CMOS technology, its operating frequency, area, and gate count are 50MHz, 0.37㎟, and 55,310 gates, respectively.

  • A generator is in use for a moving vehicle like car, aircraft, ship as well as key industry including a thermal power plant, a water power plant, a nuclear power plant, and so on. Such the AC generator plays an important role in vehicle, ship, aircraft, and so forth, at the point of generating electric power. Especially in the matter of the ship, the emergency generator system is mounted to provide against malfunction of main generator on a voyage. So, it is ordered that the system can monitor the main generator and operate the emergency generator when the emergency happens. This study is about controller for the emergency diesel engine generator and design of a various software.
