  • Transmit signal of Enhancement Layer in AT-DMB system is received by Coherent Detection, but in Base Layer of AT-DMB, a differential modulation and demodulation is adopted, same as the T-DMB. Especially for the coherent dectection of enhancement layer in AT-DMB system, a channel estimation must be employed. In this paper, I will show that the BER performance of Base-Layer in AT-DMB system will be improved by using the channel estimation information. The suggested method is focusing the constallations after Equalizaing to the nearlest ${\pi}$/4-shift DQPSK constallation points. Simulation results show that for the non-coding environment, the BER performance of AWGN channel, about 2-dB gain can be achieved at $10^{-4}BER$.

  • In part-1 of this paper, the error rate equations of digitally modulated signals transmitted though the Gaussian/Impulsive noise channel have been derived. Using the derived equations for the error probabilities of ASK, QAM, CPSK, DPSK, FSK and MSK signals, the error rate performances of digital modulation systems have been evaluated and represented in the figures as the functions of carrier-to-noise power ratio(CNR), impulsive index, and the ration of Gaussian noise power component to impulsive noise power component. The results are shown in graphs to known how much impulsive noise effects on digital signals than Gaussian noise.

  • Recently, HSRC (Half-Symbol-Rate-Carrier) OQPSK (Offset Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) signaling which reduces the bandwidth of transmitted signal for high-speed data communications has been introduced. Since the signal is based on QPSK modulation, it also has the characteristics of QPSK signal. This paper introduces architectures of the transceiver using differential coding to resolve the 4-phase ambiguity problem of the HSRC-QOPSK signaling for high-speed data communications. In addition, this paper proves the functionality of the transceiver with differential coding and shows the BER (bit-error-rate) performance of the transceiver by simulations.

  • M-ary differential phase shift keying(DPSK)is a bandwidth efficient digital modulation technique and recently has attracted increased attention in mobile satellite communication application where the available radio bandwidth is limited. Coherent detection offers good BER performance in AWGN channel. However, it requires long acquisition times in fading environment. In this paper, we analyze the BER performance of M-ary DPSK signal using the Multiple Differ- ential Feedback Detection(MDFD) technique in Rician fading and shadowed Rician fading channel. MDFD is an efficient scheme to decrease the performance gap between differential and coherent reception by increasing the complexity of the conventional differential receiver to some extent. Compared to the multiple symbol maximum likelihood detection technique, the multiple differential feedback detection technique has a much simpler structure for hardware implementation. Espe- cially, this technique has application to land mobile satellite channel which can vary in time and space between AWGN and rapidly fading channel.

  • This paper compared and analyzed trellis coding with modem, discussed the basic concepts of it's structure and design. Logical observation was made on estimation method of coding gain and effect of error coefficient for trellis coding with modem. A signal space was analyzed on multidimensional coding in voiceband modem and differentially trellis coding with modem. As a result, we has obtained that 16 points constellation is more efficient than 2 dimensional.

  • This paper presents block and timing diagrams of the DWA(Data Weighted Averaging) to optimize a feedback time delay of the sigma-delta modulator. Through the MATLAB modeling, the optimized coefficients of the integrators are obtained to design the modulator. The fully differential SC integrators, feedback DAC, 9-level quantizer, and DWA are designed by considering the nonideal characteristics of the modulator. The designed third-order multibit modulator is fabricated in a 0.35${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS process. The modulator achieves 75dB signal-to-noise ratio and 74dB dynamic range at 1.2Vp-p 825kHz input signal and 52.8MHE sampling frequency.

  • Spread spectrum communications have increased interest due to their immunity to channel fading and low probability of intercept. One of the limitations of the traditional digital spread spectrum systems is the need for spreading code synchronization. Chaotic communication is the analogue alternative of digital spread spectrum systems beside some extra features like simple transceiver structures. In this paper, This paper was used instead of the digital modulation and demodulation carriers for use in the chaotic signal in a digital communication system among the chaotic modulation schemes, the Differential Chaos Shift Keying(DCSK) is the most efficient one because its demodulator detects the data without the need to chaotic signal phase recovery. Also Implementation of Differential Chaos Shift Keying Communication System Using Matlab/Simulink and the receiver con decode the binary information sent by the transmitter, performance curves of DCSK are given in terms of bit-error probability versus signal to noise ratio with spreading factor as a parameter and we compare it to BPSK modulation.

  • In this paper, we propose a Reverse Differential Chaos Shift Keying (RE-DCSK) system for low cost, high reliability and high data rate non-coherent chaos communication .In RE-DCSK, reference signals are transmitted in the first slot as in the conventional differential chaos shift modulation scheme (DCSK) and in the second slot a time inversion block strengthens the autocorrelation of the chaos signal and uses the orthogonality of the two signals to obtain the information signal. RE-DCSK enables relatively double the data rate compared to DCSK and also improves the security of communications without any additional cost of system complexity. To prove its effectiveness, we analyze it through Rayleigh fading channel and additional white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel based on the derived BER expression. The BER performance of the proposed system is improved when compared with the CDSK and DCSK system using AWGN channel.

  • Recently, STC techniques have been considered to be candidate to support multimedia services in the next generation mobile radio communications and have been developed the many communications systems in order to achieve the high data rates. In this paper, we Nose the Trellis-Coded Differential Space Time Modulation system with multiple symbol detection. The Trellis-code performs the set partition with unitary group codes. The Viterbi decoder containing new branch metrics is introduced in order to improve the bit error rate (BER) in the differential detection of the unitary differential space time modulation. Also, we describe the Viterbi algorithm in order to use this branch metrics. Our study shows that such a Viterbi decoder improves BER performance without sacrificing bandwidth and power efficiency.
