The Effect Of Additive $N_2$ Gas In Pt Film Etching Using Inductively Coupled $Cl_2/Ar$ Plasmas ($Cl_2/Ar$ 유도 결합 플라즈마에서 Pt 박막 식각시 $N_2$ 가스 첨가 효과)

  • In this study, the effects of the addition of $N_2$ gas into the $Cl_2$ (90)/Ar(10) gas mixture, which has been proposed as the optimized etching gas combination, for etching of platinum was performed. The selectivity of platinum film to $SiO_2$ film etch mask increased with the addition of $N_2$ gas, and etch profile over 75 $^{\circ}$ could be obtained when 20 % additive $N_2$ gas was added. These phenomena were interpreted as the results of a formation of blocking layer such as Si-N or Si-O-N on the $SiO_2$ mask. The maximum etch rate of Pt film and selectivity of Pt to $SiO_2$ are 1425 ${\AA}$/min and 1.71, respectively. These improvements were considered to be due to the formation of more volatile compounds such as Pt-N or Pt-N-Cl.

농업용 폐비닐 열분해 파생물질의 조성분석과 유해성 평가

  • 토양에 방치된 농업용 폐비닐은 거의 분해가 되지 않으며, 수분과 공기의 유통을 차단하고 토양 내 미생물들의 흐름을 막아 토양을 더욱 황폐화시키게 된다. 불법적인 소각 때는 산불의 위험에다 다이옥신, 염소 및 염화수소가스 등을 배출해 대기오염을 유발시킨다. 폐비닐을 열분해과정으로 처리하여 아주 작은 입자로 미분쇄하고 겔상태로 용융된 원료물질속으로 완전히 균일하게 혼합하여 골재로 활용하는 과정에서 가스상과 액상의 여러 가지 중간생성물질이 발생하게 되며, 농약의 살포에 의한 잔류농약 둥 인체에 유해가능한 요소들이 있을 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 개발공정이나 제품에서 인체에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 물질에 대하여 유해성을 평가하고 용응 겔 및 가스와 오일에 함유된 화학성분을 분석하였기에 보고하고자 한다 시험동물의 혈액생화학적 검사에서는 농업용 폐비닐물질 및 열분해 파생물질의 혈청 Cholesterol, 혈청 Alanine aminotranseferse와 Aspartate aminotransferse, Albumin 수치, LDH, Glucose, Uric acid, A/C 비 등의 생화학적 활성도를 측정한 결과들에서는 농업용 폐비닐물질을 투여한 시험군에서 나타난 결과와 비교하여 열분해 파생물질을 투여한 시험군에서 나타난 결과가 감소된 통계결과를 보였다. 이 결과들은 농업용 폐비닐물질을 투여한 시험군보다 열분해 파생물질을 투여한 시험군의 외부독성물질 투여에 의한 생체독성의 영향과 생체에 가해진 스트레스강도가 작았음을 의미하는 것이다. 잔류농약분석에서는 시료로부터 농약을 추출하는 용매추출과정, 시료추출물 중 공존하는 방해성분을 제거하는 정제과정, 폐비닐물질 및 열분해 파생물질 성분을 100mg/kg 이상군의 투여 후 시험동물의 부검시 모든 투여군에서 독성소견이 인정되지 않았다. 이와 같은 결과로 열분해 및 연소과정에서 발생하는 파생물질의 분석결과를 응용하여 대기오염을 방지하고 인체 유해물질을 차단하는 공해 방지 설계의 기초자료를 제안하고자 한다.

The Extended TCP for Preventing from SYN Flood DoS Attacks (SYN Flood DoS 공격을 차단하기 위한 확장 TCP)

  • The Denial of Service(DoS) attacks, which are done by consuming all of the computing or communication resources necessary for the services, are known very difficult to be protected from. TCP has drawbacks in its connection establishment for possible DoS attacks. TCP maintains the state of each partly established connection in the connection queue until it is established completely and accepted by the application. The attackers can make the queue full by sending connection requests repeatedly and not completing the connection establishment steps for those requests. In this paper, we have designed and implemented the extended TCP for preventing from SYN Flood DoS attacks. In the extended TCP, the state of each partly established connection is not maintained in the queue until the connection is established completely. For the extended TCP, we have modified the 3-way handshake procedure of TCP and implemented the extended TCP in the Linux operating system. The test result shows $0.05\%$ delay more than original TCP, but it shows that the extended TCP is strong for SYN Flood attacks.

Properties of ZrO2 Gas Barrier Film using Facing Target Sputtering System with Low Temperature Deposition Process for Flexible Displays (플렉서블 디스플레이용 저온공정을 갖는 대향 타겟식 스퍼터링 장치를 이용한 ZrO2 가스 차단막의 특성)

  • $ZrO_2$ film was deposited by facing target sputtering (FTS) system on polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) substrate as a gas barrier layer for flexible organic light emitting devices (FOLEDs), In order to control the heat of the FTS system caused by the ion bombardment in the cathode compared with the conventional sputtering system, the process characteristics of the FTS apparatus are investigated under various sputtering conditions such as the distance between two targets ($d_{TT}$), the distance between the target and the substrate ($d_{TS}$), and the deposition time. The $ZrO_2$ film by the FTS system can reduce the damage on the films because the ion bombardment with high-energy particles like gamma-electrons, Moreover, the $ZrO_2$ film with optimized condition ($d_{TT}$=140 mm) as a function of the distance from center to edge showed a very uniform thickness below 5 % for a deposition time of 3 hours, which can improve the interface property between the anode and the plastics substrate for flexible displays, It is concluded that the $ZrO_2$ film prepared by the FTS system can be applied as a gas barrier layer or an interlayer between the anode and the plastic substrate with good properties of an uniform thickness and a low deposition-temperature.

  • Transpiration cooling is the most effective cooling technique for liquid rocket and air-breathing engines operating in aggressive environments with higher pressures and temperatures. Combustor liners and turbine vanes are cooled by the coolant(air or fuel) passing through their porous walls and also the exit coolant acting as an insulating film. However, its practical implementation has been hampered by the limitations of available porous materials. The search for more practical methods of increasing the internal heat transfer within the walls has led to the development of multi-laminate porous structures, such as Lamilloy$^{(R)}$ and Transply$^{(R)}$. This paper reviews recent research activities of transpiration cooling for the propulsions of liquid rocket, gas turbine, and scramjet.

Clinical and histopathological study on the effect of Nonresorbable membrane with Demineralized freeze dried bone graft for Guided Bone Regeneration in Implant Dehiscence Defects (매식체 주위 열개형 골결손부에서 차단막과 골 이식술의 사용이 골 형성에 미치는 영향에 대한 임상 및 조직병리학적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of non-resorbable membrane such as e-PTFE which was used with DFDB in bone regeneration on dehiscence defect in peri-implant area. Amomg the patients, who have recieved an implant surgery at the department of Periodontics in Dan Kook University Dental Hospital, 12 patients showed implant exposure due to the dehiscence defect and 15 implants of these 22 patients were the target of the treatment. Periodontists randomly applied $Gore-Tex^{(R)}$ to the patients and treated them with antibiotics for five days both preoperatively and postoperatively. Reentry period was 26 weeks on average in maxilla and 14 weeks on average in mandible. The results were as follows : 1. Dehiscence bone defect frequently appeared in premolar in mandible and anterior teeth in maxilla respectively. 2. Among 15 cases, 1 membrane exposure was observed and in this case, regenerated area was decreased. 3. In non-resorbable membrane, bone surface area $9.25{\pm}4.84$ preoperatively and significantly increased to $11.48{\pm}7.52$ postoperatively(0.05). 4. The increase of bone surface area in non-resorbable membrane was $2.23{\pm}3.38$. 5. As a result of histopathological finding, DFDB surrounded by new bone formation and lamellate bone, resorption of DFDB and bone mineralization was found. Also, fibrosis of connective tissue beneath the membrane was found. This study shows that the surgical method using DFDB and non-resorbable membrane on dehiscence defect in peri-implant area is effective in bone regeneration.

Improvement of Charge Transfer Efficiency of Dye-sensitized Solar Cells by Blocking Layer Coatings (차단막 코팅에 의한 염료 태양전지의 전하전송효율 개선에 관한 연구)

  • A layer of $TiO_2$ thin film less than ~200nm in thickness, as a blocking layer, was deposited by 13.56 MHz radio frequency magnetron sputtering method directly onto the anode electrode to be isolated from the electrolyte in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs). This is to prevent the electrons from back-transferring from the electrode to the electrolyte ($I^-/{I_3}^-$). The presented DSCs were fabricated with working electrode of F:$SnO_2$(FTO) glass coated with blocking $TiO_2$ layer, dye-attached nanoporous $TiO_2$ layer, gel electrolyte and counter electrode of Pt-deposited FTO glass. The effects of blocking layer were studied with respect to impedance and conversion efficiency of the cells. The, electrochemical impedances of DSCs using this electrode were $R_1$: 13.9, $R_2$: 15.0, $R_3$: 10.9 and $R_h$: $82{\Omega}$. The $R_2$ impedance related by electron movement from nanoporous $TiO_2$ to TCO showed lower than that of normal DSCs. The photo-conversion efficiency of prepared DSCs was 5.97% ($V_{oc}$: 0.75V, $J_{sc}$: 10.5 mA/$cm^2$, ff: 0.75) and approximately 1% higher than general DSCs sample.

A Study on the Soundproofing Plate Techniques for Noise Reduction of Power Transformers (전력용 변압기 소음저감을 위한 차음판 기술에 관한 연구)

  • According to the increase of power demand and expansion of downtown, it is necessary to install transformers additionally in operating substations and construct substations in residential area. But the public complaint has been increased due to the transformer noise of the substation. KEPCO has used a vibration preventing pad, various soundproof walls and an enclosure to transformers in outdoor substations, and a soundproof door, shutter and wind-path soundproof equipment in indoor substations to block the sound propagation from the transformers. But these noise reduction methods are not satisfied. It should be considered to reduce transformer noise itself. To shut out sound emitted from transformers, we developed a soundproof technology that wall up reinforcing bar by steel sheet. For the practical application of it, we analyzed the vibration characteristics of a transformer tank and reduction of noise according to soundproof plate. As a result, it is confirmed that the technology can reduce 11 [dB] of transformer noise.

Analysis of Tunneling Current for Bottom Gate Voltage of Sub-10 nm Asymmetric Double Gate MOSFET (10 nm이하 비대칭 이중게이트 MOSFET의 하단 게이트 전압에 따른 터널링 전류 분석)

  • This paper analyzed the deviation of tunneling current for bottom gate voltage of sub-10 nm asymmetric double gate MOSFET. The asymmetric double gate MOSFET among multi gate MOSFET developed to reduce the short channel effects has the advantage to increase the facts to be able to control the channel current, compared with symmetric double gate MOSFET. The increase of off current is, however, inescapable if aymmetric double gate MOSFET has the channel length of sub-10 nm. The influence of tunneling current was investigated in this study as the portion of tunneling current for off current was calculated. The tunneling current was obtained by the WKB(Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin) approximation and analytical potential distribution derived from Poisson equation. As a results, the tunneling current was greatly influenced by bottom gate voltage in sub-10 nm asymmetric double gate MOSFET. Especially it showed the great deviation for channel length, top and bottom gate oxide thickness, and channel thickness.

Estimation of Trapping Efficiency Using VFSMOD: Application to Cheongmi Basin (VFSMOD를 이용한 토사저감효율 산정: 청미천 유역에서의 적용)

  • 하천으로 유입되어 수질 오염을 야기하는 오염원은 오염 배출원이 명확하여 하나의 점으로 나타낼 수 있는 점오염원(Point Source)과 오염원이 명확치 않은 비점오염원(Non-point)으로 구분된다. 생활하수, 축산폐수와 같이 오염원이 명확한 점오염원은 하천 유입 이전에 처리장을 거쳐 정화작업이 가능한 반면, 비점오염원은 오염원이 명확치 않아 처리에 어려움이 따른다. 또, 오염물의 양과 이동 경로가 예측이 불가능하고 강우시에는 특별한 처리 없이 하천으로 바로 유입된다. 비점 오염원의 종류는 토사, 영양물질, 유기물질, 농약, 바이러스 등 다양하다. 이 중에서 토양에 흡착되어 이동하는 질소와 인은 하천으로 유입되어 부영양화를 야기하는 특성이 있어 더욱 처리가 필수적이다. 이러한 비점오염원으로 인한 수질 오염을 줄이기 위해 여러 최적관리기법(Best Management Practices, BMPs)이 제시되어 있으며 오염 물질의 하천 유입을 차단하는 것에 중점을 둔다. 가장 널리 이용되는 방법으로는 비점오염원 저감시설 중 하천변에 식물체를 설치하여 토양의 유실을 막는 식생대(Vegetative Filter Strip, VFS)가 있다. 식생 밀집 지역의 설치를 통해 표면 유출을 차단하고 토양 유실 감소와 수체로의 오염물질 확산을 막을 수 있다. 이에 VFSMOD-w를 이용하여 강우시 식생대를 통한 토양 유실 감소 효율에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 대상 지역으로 비교적 수문 및 토양 자료가 풍부한 청미천 유역을 선정하였다. 그 결과, 식생대의 길이와 식생대 내 식물체의 파종간격이 가장 지배적인 영향을 미치는 것이 확인된다. 이때, 식물체의 종류는 식물체 파종으로 인해 변화되는 토양의 수정된 Manning의 조도계수로 구분한다. 모든 강우 및 식물체 조건이 동일할 때, 식생대 내 식물의 파종 간격이 좁고 식생대의 길이가 길수록 토사 저감 효율이 증가하는 결과가 도출되었다. 식물체의 높이, 식물체의 종류 및 식물의 파종간격이 입력 자료로 요구되나 이 중 식물체의 높이는 토사 저감 효율에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 또, 동일한 강우 조건에서 식생대의 길이가 0.5 m에서 1.0 m로 2배 증가하였을 때 토사 저감 효율이 두 경우 모두 95% 이상의 효율을 보이는 것이 나타났다. 이는 식생대의 길이가 증가할수록 토사 저감 효율이 증가하나 일정 길이 이상이 되면 대부분의 토사가 저감되는 것을 의미한다. 결론적으로 식생의 파종 간격이 좁을수록 토사 저감 효율이 증가하더라도 식물체의 성장을 고려한 적절한 파종 간격을 선정하여야 한다. 즉, 식생대의 설치는 적절한 파종 간격 및 식생대 길이를 식생대 설치지역의 강우 특성에 따라 결정지어야 한다고 판단된다.
