Although motorcycle safety studies to date have identified the causes of motorcycle accidents in general, very few have investigated postal motorcycle accidents by studying the delivery postmen's specific work environment. To better understand postal motorcyclists' driving behavior associated with their delivery workload, we developed a system using V-World platform which visualizes driving behavior in real time along the driver's delivery route throughout an entire work day. We conducted a field test to examine the feasibility of our system by involving six delivery postmen currently working in Songpa, Seocheongju, and Gangseo, respectively. To show the potential of our system for nationwide comparison of postal motorcyclists' driving behavior and their workloads, we present several sample analyses using the collected field data. Although ideally, postmen's workloads should be standardized nationwide, we found large variation depending on regional characteristics of work area which affects postmen's driving behavior.

The purpose of this paper is to devise an optimal route allocation algorithm for automated vehicle(AV) in monitoring quality of road infrastructure to support the road safety. The tasks of an AV in this paper include visiting node-links at least once during its operation and checking status of road infrastructure, and coming back to its depot.. In selecting optimal route, its priority goal is visiting the node-links with higher risks while reducing costs caused by operation. To deal with the problem, authors devised reward maximizing algorithm for AVs. To check its validity, the authors developed simple toy network that mimic node-link networks and assigned costs and rewards for each node-link. With the toy network, the reward maximizing algorithm worked well as it visited the node-link with higher risks earlier then chinese postman route algorithm (Eiselt, Gendreau, Laporte, 1995). For further research, the reward maximizing algorithm should be tested its validity in a more complex network that mimic the real-life.

There was a new wave in grocery business with development of information and technology, thus a movement from traditional stores to online stores, In order to expand the scale of traditional supermarket and to satisfy the customers' needs, they provide offline and online services simultaneously. This paper is based on the previous studies which had been researched in developed countries from late 1990s to early 2000s and the purpose of this study is to introduce the idea and operation system of e-Grocery business. Moreover, we suggest the alternatives on delivery service methods in order to satisfy the customers' needs through analyzing the current condition of e-Grocers in Korea. According to the result of this study, Korean e-Grocers offer only attended home delivery services. In our opinion, Korean supermarkets have to take hybrid model which Tesco.com is using. There are some alternatives to increase the profits of Korean e-Grocers and to provide better services to their customers as follows: As an alternatives for delivery services, picking service is the easiest and cheapest way to apply for supermarkets. This is very useful for working women and also it is possible to order by smartphone recently. They can order the goods to the closest local supermarkets from working place, and then they pick them up on the way home from working off. In order to improve the quality of delivery services, to use the reception box will be the way to provide better services to the customers. The reception box is a way to protect the quality of goods such as fresh-cut product, which require the freshness through the temperature adjustment, and also to keep the safety of ordered goods through locking system Through this system, supermarkets are able to use attended or unattended services under the customers' satisfaction. However, using the reception box is expensive, so shared reception box will be an alternative. As an alternative for development of e-Grocery business, the advertisement for e-Grocery business has to be supported in order to attract potential customers in e-Grocery business. Furthermore, the main concerns of e-Grocery business such as the sanitation and safety of goods, and convenience must be guaranteed in order to keep the loyal customers and to attract new customers.

Recently there are many changes of logistics environment Such as integrated logistics information system, the rapid growth of the domestic and international small package express service and third party logistics with Electronic Commerce. At this time it is very important to deliver to customers the goods sold through EC speedy, accurately and safely. That is to say, the role of small package express service is very important at EC times. The bottlenecks of small package express service in the circumstances of EC are the weakness of EC operating company and small package express service provider the shortage of distribution centre and cargo terminal, the shortage of skilled man with related small package express service etc. So, I suggested that for activation of EC it is necessary to strengthen the strategic alliances, introduce GPS and use the third party logistics positively in the side of small package express service provider. And it is necessary to prepare for the settlements of traffic problems, support the introduction of integrated logistics service, logistics information system, deregulate restriction such as weight limit of vehicles in the side of the government. And to government support throughout extending nation's SOC, deregulation, support to small package express service terminal, permit to stopping & parking in downtown, abolishing a no passing zone, permit to being employed foreigner. Also this service involves ensuring that the product will arrive when wanted, and in an undamaged condition.
