부유상의 Batch식 배양에서의 암모니아 및 아질산염의 제거특성

  • Using acclimated sludges with inorganic nitrogen medium for three months and raw sludges, we investigated characteristics of biological nitrogen removal. As results, the acclimated sludges accomplished nitrification efficiently. But raw sludges have hardly done ammonium-nitrification and there was a increasing of ammonium concentration in flask with raw sludges for established experimental period of 72 hrs.

  • The thermal decomposition of phase stabilized ammonium nitrate(PSAN) was studied by means of thermogravimetric analysis(TGA). In this study, potassium nitrate and zinc oxide were used as the phase stabilizers in the range of contents from 0 wt.% to 8 wt.%. The kinetics and mechanism for the decomposition were evaluated using integral methods. It was found that the thermal kinetic parameters such as activation energy(I) and frequency factor(A) increase with the increase of the stabilizer contents, and the mechanism of decomposition also changes.

  • 호기시간 변경에 따른 SBR에서의 영양염류제거특성과 MLVSS의 변화를 본 이번 연구에서는 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1) 충분하지 못한 산소의 공급은 미생물의 wash-out으로 인한 영양염류 제거 효율의 저조를 나타냈다. 2) 산소 공급량이 $0.045m^3$였던 R2에서 저조산 질산화가 나타났으나, 인을 과다 축적하는 EBPR(Enhanced Biological Phosphorus Removal)을 나타냈다. 3) 산소 공급량이 $0.06m^3$이상이었던 R3, R4에서는 60%이상의 질산화 및 탈질화와 약 100%에 달하는 인 제거 효율을 나타내었다. 4) 단위 미생물당 $1.5{\sim}1.8ml/mg$의 공급 산소량이 인 흡수에 유리한 것으로 나타났다. 5) 공급되는 산소에 있어 유기물 분해>인흡수>질산화에 우선적으로 소모되는 것으로 나타났다.

낙동강 함안군 칠서 강변여과 개발 예정지역의 수리지구화학적 특성조사

  • 강변여과수 개발 예정지역인 함안군 칠서지역의 수질특성을 알아보기 위해 2003년 4월과 2003년 8월 2회에 걸쳐 강변여과수 양수정, 관측정, 주변지역 지하수 및 낙동강 원수 등 총 38개의 물시료를 채수하여 분석하였다. 용존 이온 분석 결과 연구 지역 지하수의 경우는 Ca-HCO$_3$ 유형 또는 Ca-Cl 유형에 속하며, 조사 지점에 따라 충적층 및 암반 지하수의 특징이 확연히 구분되었다. 조사된 지하수의 경우, 질산성질소와 철, 망간의 농도가 다른 성분에 비해 상대적으로 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 그 외의 중금속의 오염은 미미한 것으로 나타난다. 낙동강 원수의 경우 질산성 질소, 철, 망간은 지하수에 비해 낮은 것으로 나타났으나, 조류의 영향으로 매우 높은 pH 값을 보여주었다. 채수된 전체 시료의 분석 결과, 질산성질소(39.1%), 철(13%), 망간(39.1%)이 주로 먹는 물 수질기준을 초과하는 항목으로 나타났다.

제주 한림 지역 지하수 수질 및 질산성 질소의 공간적 분포

  • 이 연구는 제주도 한림 지역에서 지하수의 수질과 오염의 특성을 규명하고자 시행되었다. 2002년 8월과 11월에 걸쳐 34개 지점에서 지하수 시료를 채취하였고, 이를 분석하여 지하수의 수질을 유형별로 분류하였다. 연구지역은 주로 (Na,Mg)-HCO$_3$ 유형이 나타나며, 일부 지점에서는 Mg-(HCO$_3$+Cl), (Ca,Mg)-HCO$_3$ 유형 등이 나타난다. 이는 지하수의 유동 경로를 따라 서로 다른 수리지화학적 반응이 일어나며, 지표 오염물질의 유입 등이 지하수의 수질에 영향을 미치고 있음을 지시한다. 질산성 질소의 경우, 국내 먹는물 수질기준치 10 mg/L를 초과한 시료는 전체 시료의 8월 조사에서 약 32%, 11월 조사에서 약 27% 이었고, 공간적 분포 특성은 비교적 낮은 고도 150m 이하의 저지대에서 채취한 시료에서 주로 나타났다. 인위적인 오염물질의 유입 가능성이 있는 지점은 전체 시료의 79.4% 이었다.

  • 본 연구는 호밀$\longrightarrow$옥수수$\longrightarrow$연맥 작부조합에서 소 및 돼지액상분뇨를 시용수준을 달리하여 연용하였을 때 각 작물의 건물수량, 질산태질소 함량 및 토양특성 변화를 구명하고자 수행하였다. 전체적인 건물수량 비교에서는 소 및 돼지액상분뇨구 모두 시용수준을 100% 이상 증량 시용하였을 때 대조구(화학비료표준구) 보다 높았으며, 식물체 중 질산태질소 함량은 호밀 및 옥수수의 경우 전체 시험구 모두 0.15% 이하의 수준을 보였으나, 연맥은 0.18-0.26%의 높은 수준을 보였다.(중략)

  • After removal of mercury in the silver oxide batteries with the distillation process, the leaching of valuable metals from the residue was studied. The distilled residue was reacted with the various HNO, concentration, reactlon temperature, readion time and pulp density. It was found that the optimum condition for leachmg was 2N HNO,, 40-60% reaction temperature, 6 hours reaction tlme and 10g/200ml pulp density. More than 99% of silver and zinc were dissolved in this process while less than 50% of iron and nickel were leached

Nitrogen Removal Via Sediment Denitrification and Its Seasonal Variations in Major Estuaries of South Coast of Korean Peninsula (남해안 주요 하구 갯벌 퇴적물의 탈질소화를 통한 질소 영양염 제거)

  • Sediment oxygen demand(SOD) and denitrification rates were measured in four major estuaries(Suncheon Bay, Seomjin river estuary, Goseong stream estuary and Masan Bay) in south coast of Korean peninsula from March of 2009 to May 2010 to estimate organic matter cleaning capacity. SOD was estimated from the temporal dissolved oxygen concentration change and isotopic pairing technique was employed to measure denitrification. Sediment oxygen demand(SOD) was ranged from -5.1 to 24.6 mmole $O_2m^{-2}d^{-1}$ and denitrification rate was ranged from 0.0 to 3.9 mmole $N_2m^{-2}d^{-1}$in the study area. SOD was the highest in Masan Bay(-2.2 to 19.2, average = 10.2 mmole $O_2m^{-2}d^{-1}$) and Suncheon, Goseong, Tae-an and Seomjin followed. Denitrification was also the highest in Masn Bay(0.0 to 3.9, average = 1.0 mmole $N_2m^{-2}d^{-1}$) and Goseong, Seomjin, Suncheon and Taean followed. The effect of benthic photosynthesis by microphytobenthos on denitrification was evident in some season of Tae-an, Seomjin, and Masn Bay. The increased oxygen level produced by photosynthesis stimulated nitrification without severe adverse effect on denitrification and, as a result, coupled nitrification and denitrification was enhanced in these areas. A difference of seasonal patterns of denitrification at each site depended on relative importance of denitrification on different nitrate source($D_w$: nitrate from water column and $D_n$: nitrated produced during nitrification). Denitrification was maximum during spring in Goseong, Suncheon and Masan Bay. On the contrary, denitrification was the highest during summer in Tae-an and Seomjin estuary.

Comparison of Sampling Methods for On-Farm Use Quick Test Procedure of Soil Nitrate (토양의 질산태질소 현장검정을 위한 시료 채취방법 비교)

  • The procedure of soil sampling for on-farm quick test of soil nitrate is very important to improve practical application without weighing or drying soil. To improve application of test strip reflectometer as a quick on-farm analytical procedure for the estimation of soil nitrate concentration, three sampling methods such as gravimetric sampling (GS), particle density sampling (PDS) and bulk density sampling (BDS) for on-farm analytical procedure were investigated with twelve soils of 45 to $281mg\;kg^{-1}$ nitrate nitrogen concentration. The nitrate nitrogen concentrations measured from different soils were compared with two analytical methods, ion electrode method as a standard laboratory analysis (SLA) and test strip reflectometer at three moisture conditions, viz. air dried soil, 20 and 40% of maximum water holding capacity (MWHC). Nitrate nitrogen concentration measured by test strip reflectometer was significantly correlated with that of SLA, and the coefficients of variation (CV) were in the range of 3.5 to 10.9%. These CV values less than 10.9% were thought to be acceptable for the measurement of soil nitrate as an on-farm real time analytical procedure. The nitrate nitrogen concentration by BDS for test strip reflectometer as well as ion electrode method was more similar to that of SLA compared with those by GS and PDS especially in case of moist soils. This result suggests that the BDS is more useful than GS and PDS in case of on-farm analytical procedure of soil nitrate for moist soils. Further the practical measurement by BDS could be improved by substituting the bottle cap with a larger container.

Dealumination of $NH_4Y$-Zeolite to Convert to the Hydrophobic Zeolite by High-Temperature Steam Treatment (소수성 제올라이트로의 변환을 위한 고온 수증기처리에 의한 $NH_4Y$-제올라이트의 탈알루미늄)

  • This study was performed to change the hydrophilic $NH_4Y$-zeolite to the hydrophobic one for removal of VOCs by removing the $Al^{3+}$ in the zeolite-structure to increase the Si/Al ratio, for which the three pelleted $NH_4Y$-zeolite samples were contacted separately with the steam of $400^{\circ}C$, $500^{\circ}C$ and $600^{\circ}C$, respectively, in a stainless steel column for 4 hours. Then extraction of the ex-structure aluminum of the hydrolyzed zeolites with the nitric acids of 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, and 0.10 M at $90^{\circ}C$ in 500 mL-flasks, respectively, according to steam temperature were followed. XRD analysises of the dealuminated zeolites showed that the peaks of the zeolites that had been hydrolyzed with the steams of both $500^{\circ}C$ and $600^{\circ}C$ are distorted more with the increase of the concentration of nitric acid used for extraction of the ex-structure aluminums, however, those hydrolyzed with steam of $400^{\circ}C$ became amorphous phase when treated with the all nitric acids of four concentrations. Also the EDX analysises showed that the BET surface areas and TPVS of the zeolites that had been hydrolyzed with the steam of $600^{\circ}C$ were increased with the concentration of the nitric acid when the nitric acids of 0.25 M and 0.5 M had been used but decreased when the nitric acids of 0.75 M and 1.0 M had been used. These results led to the conclusion that both the $600^{\circ}C$ and $500^{\circ}C$-steam and the 0.5 M-nitric acid are appropriate to change the hydrophilic $NH_4Y$-zeolites to the hydrophobic one, which were proven by the measurement of the benzene and tolune-adsorbing capacities showing the same trend as the BET surface area and TPV The Si/Al ratios and water-adsorbing capacities of the dealuminated zeolites were increased and decreased, respectively, with the concentration of the nitric acids so that it showed that the hydrophobicity is increased.
