Due to the concern of regional unbalance relating to healthcare resources, the government has set up a plan to expand public healthcare services and a policy to manage the supply of hospital beds. However, it is not clear what standards are needed to measure the degree of unbalance, and to what extent the gap needs to be narrowed. Unlike the previous methodology comparing the proportions of patients who move out from their administrative district to receive medical services, this study examines the inconvenience gap patients experience when they have to move out from their actual living area. The logit and multinomial logit models are employed. The regional unbalance decreases when the degree of movement is measured based on the living area. This result implies that essential standard for achieving regional balance relating to medical services need to be based not on the even distribution of medical resources, but the complications of regional people that require proper medical services.

In this paper, we present a result of our study on how to construct a HIMCS(hospital image management and communication system) based on Windows system. The proposed HIMCS is composed of image acquisition units, image archiving and processing units, display units, and all units are interfaced with LAN. We construct high speed image transmission system for distributed database and retrieval of various medical pictures in ward through image transmission system and realize integrated image diagnosis. Hospital image management and communication systems(HIMCS) have been proposed as a way to meet the challenge presented by the growing volume of medical imaging data. These systems are based on the concept of handing images in digital form, there by marking use of advances in computer-based technology. A HIMCS offers a wide spectrum of advantages over filmbased imaging. Digital acquisition of images eliminates the need for film processing and associated costs in both time and materials.

This study, investigating the differences of public hospital employees' communication, motivation, mutual trust, working conditions, fair compensation, job satisfaction, is to identify the factors affecting organizational performance. Through this, an alternative is suggested, which can maximize organizational performance of hospital employees. The period was from October 5 to October 31, 2014 to collect the data from 232 subjects working in public hospitals. ANOVA and regression analysis were conducted and the finding shows that communication, motivation, mutual trust, working conditions, fair compensation, job satisfaction have a significant difference (p<0.05) based on job categories. In addition, the factors affecting organizational performance were communication and fair compensation (p<0.001) for nursing job, age and employment type (p<0.05) and fair compensation (p<0.001) for Medical Support, motivation and fair compensation (p<0.001) for administrative job. The efforts to improve human resource management in their organization which is able to inspire a sense of belonging should be followed.

U-healthcare is real-time monitoring of personal biometric information using by portable devices, home network and information and communication technology based healthcare systems, and fused together automatically to overcome the constraints of time and space are connected with hospitals and doctors. As u-healthcare gives health service in anytime and anywhere, it becomes to be a new type of medical services in patients management and disease prevention. In this paper, recent changes in prevention-oriented care is analyzed in becoming early response for Healthcare Information System by requirements analysis for technology development trend. According to the healthcare system, PACS, OCS, EMR and emergency medical system, U-healthcare is presenting the design of a patient-centered integrated client system. As the relationship between the meaning of the terms is used in the ontology, information models in the system is providing a common vocabulary with various levels of formality. In this paper, we propose an ontology-based system for patient-centered services, including the concept of clustering to clustering the data to define the relationship between these ontologies for more systematic data.

A 6-year-old castrated male domestic short hair cat with the clinical signs of anorexia and vomiting was admitted to the local animal hospital. Abdominal radiography and ultrasonography revealed renomegaly and severe hydronephrosis in the right kidney. Surgically excised right kidney was submitted for diagnosis. On the cut surface, two milky white masses and severe dilation of renal pelvis were observed. Most of the neoplastic masses were composed of uniform well differentiated tubules lined by a single layer of cuboidal to columnar cells and projected papillae into the lumen. The neoplastic cells were strong positive for cytokeratin (CK) MNF116, but negative for CK 7. Based on the clinical and gross findings, histopathology and immunohistochemistry, this case was diagnosed as papillary renal adenoma with hydronephrosis.

With rapid development and contribution of IT technology IT fushion healthcare service which is a form of future care has been changed a lot. Specially, as IT technology unites with healthcare, because delicate personal medical information is exposed and user's privacy is invaded, we need preperation. In this paper, u-healthcare service model which can manage patient's ID information as user's condition and access level is proposed to protect user's privacy. The proposed model is distinguished by identification, certification of hospital, access control of medical record, and diagnosis of patient to utilize it efficiently in real life. Also, it prevents leak of medical record and invasion of privacy by others by adapting user's ID as divided by user's security level and authority to protect privacy on user's information shared by hospitals.

Cleft lip and palate is the most frequent congenital facial deformity of the orofacial area. Successful management of patients with cleft lip and palate requires a multidisciplinary approach from birth to adult stage. The early surgical intervention of lip and palate induces a significant incidence of maxillary growth restriction that produces secondary deformities of the jaws, and the severity of the skeletal discrepancies tends to increase with growth. The early growth modification treatment to utilize the patient's growth potential is necessary in the cleft lip and palate patients, and we must consider not only the existing skeletal discrepancies but the residual growth amount and the direction. However, once we have obtained good results with orthopedic treatment in mixed dentition stage, we must pay special attention to maintain the treatment results because of high relapse tendencies and the alterations of jaw relationships due to residual growth.

HL7 is well-known standard protocol for text data generated in hospital information systems. Vital sign information web viewer systems is also the standard protocol for medical image and transfer. In this paper, we have to design to obtain useful vital sign information, which is generated at data receiver modulor of HIS, that is offered by the central monitor. Vital sign informations of central monitor is composed of the row data of several bedsite patient monitors. We are willing to maintain vital sign information of real time and continuity that is generated from the bedsite patient monitor. It is able to apply to remote medical examination and treatment. we proposed integration method between vital sign database systems and hospital information systems. Through the proper exchange and management of patient vital sign information, real time vital sign information management will offer better workflow to all hospital employee.

I argue that the National University Hospital has to take its responsibility as the third health care service center for leading other public health care corporations, as well as its responsibility for educating, researching, and serving as a health center, as it written on its act of incorporation. As its management system had changed from a state-owned enterprise system to a self-supporting accounting system of a special corporation, the National University Hospital has pursued more heavily upon the profitability without showing any differences with the private university hospitals, even though the National University Hospital is a state-owned and public health care corporation. Therefore, after I have specifically analyzed the correlation between public service and profitability in a National University Hospital, I present my ideas on how to assign the public health care responsibilities to the National University Hospital in the current situation of pursuing heavily on profitability. Also how to partake in the service roles of the National University Hospitals in harmony with other health care corporations, and how to balance public service and profitability in the National University Hospitals.
