The CHPs perceived that their primary necessary duty among requisite duty are medical practice(57.7%), health education(31.4%), and community health service(10.9%), in contrast, unnecessary duty are family planning(68.8%), tuberculosis management(11.1%), infant health(6.3%) maternal health(5.6%). Conclusions: These results suggest that there are such alteration of job satisfaction, needs and obstacles in duty traits of CHFs. These trend of duty traits are major issues to be caught for the health service in primary health post.

The subjects in this study were the patients who visited dental hospitals and clinics in Busan and South Gyeongsang Province. As for relationship between the field of treatment and the happiness index, the patients who received orthodontic treatment scored higher in both each itemand all the five items, and the patients who received implant treatment scored lower. Regarding links between self-rated periodontal health status and the happiness index, the patients who had no oral symptoms scored higher in both each item and all the five items, and the respondents whose self-rated health status and self-rated oral health status were both very good scored higher in the happiness index. The preparation of oral health programs that aim to improve the self-rated oral health of patients who visit dental hospitals or clinics is required.

Data obtained from the questionnaire survey were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 for Windows. The taller the hygienists were the less pains they had in their 'back' and 'hips' (p<0.05). The shorter the hygienists were the more pains they had in their 'back,' 'waist,' 'hips,' 'legs' and 'ankles/feet'(p<0.05). There was no difference in pains in each body part according to weight. In the results of analyzing correlations among pains in different body parts, a very strong positive correlation was observed between the pains in the 'knees' and 'legs' (r=0.71)(p<0.01). The hygienists of 56.7% had experience in education on treatment posture, and 62.5% were not doing exercise regularly. To the question on what should be done for health welfare in their workplace, the hygienists of 47.9% mentioned improvement in the environment of the workplace.

  • Clinical remounting of complete denture is performed to refine occlusal harmony in maxillo-mandibular relation. It has been reported that patients who used adjusted dentures with clinical remounting felt less complications such as pain and discomfort in mastication. The purpose of this study was to assess effects of clinical remounting with case series. Seven patients with existing complete prosthesis were included. Clinical remounting procedure was done through interocclusal relation recording. In addition, occlusal force was measured with pressure indicating sensor and occlusal contact areas were evaluated with photo occlusion analysis. Occlusal contact areas of prosthesis were enlarged, while bite pressure was not increased. Hit and slide phenomenon of prosthesis was reduced concurrently. Clinical remounting procedure improved denture stability and increased occlusal contact area. Therefore, clinical remounting should be considered.

  • In order to resolve a dispute over a medical accident, the court is in the process of appraising the medical records for medical professionals to report their medical expertise or judgments using that knowledge. The consequences of expert opinion about a medical accident are only one of the methods of evidence as a reference. Therefore, in principle, the court should not be bound to the results, but the court, which is not a medical expert, can not completely rule out medical expert opinion as to whether there is medical malpractice and causality. Therefore, it can not be denied that the proportion of expert opinion of medical records in the dispute about medical accidents is high and it has an important influence on the judgement of the court. In this paper, we examine the significance and function of expert opinion of the medical accident, examine the appraising procedure of the medical records in the court and the appraising procedure of the medical accidents of the Korean medical dispute mediation arbitrator do. In addition, I would like to examine what kind of attitude is being taken in response to expert opinion of medical records in Korea to court, to examine the implications of the case of Japan as a foreign system, and to suggest improvement points in the expert opinion procedure of medical record filing in Korea. In particular, I would like to suggest improvements on issues such as the fairness of the expert opinion of medical records and the delays in litigation due to delays in the process of expert opinion.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the clinical usefulness and the satisfaction of patients and dental staff after implementation of a critical pathway for the dental treatment of disabled children and adolescents under conscious sedation. Thirty patients are divided in two groups (Pre-CP and CP) at the department of Pediatric Dentistry of Pusan National University Dental Hospital. The satisfaction levels of patients/guardians and the staff members were collected by survey questionnaire. The parents' satisfaction was significantly improved after the implementation of CP. Also, medical/dental staff members were highly satisfied with its usefulness. The application of a critical pathway for disabled children and adolescents might be useful and improve the satisfaction of the parents and medical/dental staff members.

  • Dental stress is suggested as a main reason for behavioral problems in dentistry, especially in children. Heart rate is a useful measure of dental stress. The purpose of the present study is to examine the effect of dental stress on children receiving restorative treatment under local anesthesia by using recently introduced a wrist-watch type heart rate monitoring device. Eighteen children with no previous dental experience, who needed dental treatment involving local anesthesia, were included in this study. In each session, heart rate was recorded. The largest increase was observed during local anesthesia and the highest values were recorded during preparation. However, no significant relationship was found between the measurements(p > 0.05). Regarding the number of visits, heart rate on the second session is significantly higher than the first session and the third session(p < 0.05). There was no significant different correlation between the first session and third session(p > 0.05). Based on the present study, children who have no previous dental treatment appeared to be more stressed at the second session and need at least 3 sessions to feel less stressed during dental treatment including dental injection.
