The Impacts of Free Trade Agreement on Productivity of FDI Firms (자유무역협정이 해외직접투자 기업들의 생산성에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • This paper investigates the impact of free trade agreement (FTA) on the performance of Korea's foreign direct investment (FDI) firms. We use plant- and firm-level data to examine the trends of FDI patterns of Korean firms between 2002 and 2010 by dividing firms based on their sizes - large and small firms. Analyzing firms' FDI activities worldwide, we find that small firms account for large share of investment cases especially in countries where FTA became effective with Korea during our sample period. Using these facts, we estimate the changes of productivity and performance of large and small firms and their foreign affiliates before and after FTA became effective. Our results show that FTA increases productivity of small firms and their foreign affiliates after its formation. In particular, we provide evidence that productivity improvement by small firms and their foreign affiliates may result from an increase in production and capital during FTA period.

  • 최근 전 지구적 기후변화의 발생으로 수문현상의 규모와 빈도가 예측하기 어려운 수준으로 변화되고 있다. 이에 따라 정밀한 데이터를 활용한 수공구조물 운영 및 관리의 중요성이 대두되고 있다. 이 중에서도 다목적댐은 이·치수 측면에서 모두 활용되기 때문에 정밀한 댐 운영을 위한 댐 유입량 자료의 수집 및 관리가 필요하지만 현실적 한계로 인해 간접적으로 측정되고 있다. 현재 국내 다목적댐 저수지의 유입량은 댐시설 유지관리 기준(MW, 1994)에서 제시한 저수지 수위 변동량과 댐 방류량의 추정치로부터 계산하는 간접측정방법을 통해 산정되고 있다. 그러나 이와 같은 방법은 태풍이나 집중호우 등 대규모 홍수 발생 시 저수지 수위의 불균일성으로 인한 오차가 나타나며, 음유입량 및 톱니바퀴 형태의 자료가 발생하는 등 정확도 측면에서 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한국건설기술연구원에서 2008년 개발한 물리적 기반의 분포형 유출해석 모형인 GRM(Grid based Rainfall-Runoff Model)을 활용하여 상류 유량관측소(옥동교 관측소, 영춘 관측소) 관측유량과 충주댐 지점 모의유량간의 경험공식을 도출하였으며, 이를 통해 상류 유량 관측소의 유량자료를 활용한 댐 유입량 직접산정이 가능하도록 하였다. 또한 다중 관측소 활용 시 댐 유입량 모의 성능이 개선되는지 여부를 확인하기 위해 3가지 경우(옥동교 관측소 단일, 영춘 관측소 단일, 옥동교·영춘 관측소 다중)로 구분하고 각 공식의 성능을 비교 평가하였다. 분석 결과 상류 관측소 관측유량과 댐 본체 지점의 모의유량이 비교적 높은 상관관계(0.79~0.96)를 보였으며, 단일 관측소를 활용한 공식 대비 다중 관측소를 활용한 공식이 더 높은 결정계수를 보였다.

Development of an In Situ Direct Shear Test Apparatus and Its Field Application (현장직접전단시험기의 개발 및 현장적용에 관한 연구)

  • It is very difficult to prepare a lab. test specimen from weak rock masses affected by faults, highly fractured zone or weathered zone. In conventional method of in situ direct shear test a rock block is sheared inside galleries, where reactions for the hydraulic jacks are available. A new in situ direct shear test apparatus has been developed in this study to perform the test inside galleries as well as open pit conditions. The apparatus is composed of normal and shear reaction plates including load transfer plates, hydraulic cylinder systems, load cells, multistage shear boxes with fixing devices, and needle rollers. Maximum size of the test block is $400{\times}400{\times}460$ mm, and procedures of the test block preparation has been suggested. To explore the field applicability of in situ direct shear test apparatus, proper test block site was investigated by extensive geological field survey. In situ direct shear test has been successful in producing most of information related to strength and deformability of the weak rock.

  • This study compares the relative effectiveness of affective factor(Ad attitude) and cognitive factor(candidate cognition) on candidate attitude among three ad types - direct comparative, indirect comparative, and noncomparative ads. The results showed that in direct comparative advertising context the candidate cognition is dominant in determining candidate attitude. In indirect comparative advertising context candidate cognition is also dominant in determining candidate attitude, but the difference is less than direct comparative advertising. In noncomparative advertising context the ads attitude is dominant in determining candidate attitude. According to research outcomes, it could be said that direct comparative advertising is more effective than indirect comparative advertising in political advertising area.

A Study on the Bainite Phase Control of Direct-Quenched Low Carbon Steels (저탄소 직접 소입강의 베이나이트상 조절에 관한 연구)

  • In a recent investigation, the formation of bainite phase in direct-quenched low carbon non heat-treated steel was reported. In this study the effects of bainite phase on the mechanical properties of direct-quenched microalloying steels were investigated. By isothermal transformation at $480^{\circ}C$ for 7 sec., volume fraction of bainite lath was 15~20%, and the UTS and impact energy were increased. In this case $B_{ll}$ and $B_{lll}$ type bainite was observed and the fractography of impact test specimen showed a ductile fracture tendency. Isothermal transformation for 100sec., yielded 30% volume fraction of granular bainite and the mechanical properties were decreased. The f ractography of impact test specimen showed a brittle fracture tendency. The addition of Mo was more effective than B for improving impact energy because amounts of boron aditions were restricted to considerably lower levels, typically 10~ 30ppm. From this study, it is predicted that 15~20% volume fraction of lath bainite on the direct quenching process is procduced by addition of Mo up to 1.2wt. % and controlling the finish forging proc¬ess at $1000^{\circ}C$ and using oil as direct quenching media. This will improve mechanical properties of the direct- quenched steel.

  • 본 연구에서는 K-mean 알고리즘을 이용하여 수지조사지점을 클러스터링하고, 수질변화 특성을 비교 분석하였다. 현행 용담댐 저수지의 호내 수질조사점은 10개소를 운용하고 있으나, 샘플링의 경제성과 효율성을 위하여 수질변동 특성이 유사한 몇 개의 지점으로 클러스터링을 할 필요성이 있다. 군집의 개수를 3개, 4개, 5개로 변화해 가면서 알고리즘을 적용한 결과, 크게 3개의 영역으로 분류되었다. 즉, 지류의 유입부분과 용담호의 중류 지역 그리고 댐앞 지점으로 분류되었다. 지류로 부터의 오염부하 유입에 따른 영향을 직접적으로 받는 3번, 8번, 9번 조사지점은 수질변동 특성이 유사한 것으로 분석되었으나, 공간적으로 이격되어 있어 조사지점을 계속 유지하는 것이 바람직할 것으로 판단된다. 용담호의 중류에 해당하는 5번, 6번, 7번 지점은 하천과 호소의 중간적인 성격을 지닌 전이지대(transitional zone)에 해당하며, 수질변동특성이 유사하여 하나의 조사지점으로 통합하는 것이 적절할 것으로 판단된다. 1번, 2번, 4번 조사지점은 댐앞 지점으로써 호소의 성격이 강한 지점으로 볼 수 있으며, 하나의 조사지점으로 통합할 수 있다. 통합된 조사지점의 강우기 수질 변화는 매우 유사한 패턴을 보이고 있는 것을 확인할 수 있다.

  • 유역의 홍수위험도를 평가하기 위하여 선행 연구로서 DPSIR framework를 적용한 인자를 선정하였다. 이때 인자의 범위를 사회적, 경제적, 환경적 분야로 구분하고 각 분야에 대하여 홍수로 인하여 야기되는 유역의 다양한 영향요소를 포함하여 인자를 선정하였다. 본 연구에서는 이를 대상으로 각 인자의 가중치를 선정하기 위하여 패널식 조사연구기법인 Delphi 방법을 적용하였다. Delphi 기법은 델파이 절차가 반복되는 동안 조사 참여자에게 전회의 조사 결과, 즉 통계적 집단 반응을 피드백하며 참여자는 이를 참고하여 자신의 판단을 수정 보완 할 수 있는 방법이다. 따라서 1차 설문조사를 통하여 각 패널은 홍수위험도 평가 인자에 대해서 주관적인 가중치를 선정하고 이를 분석한 결과를 피드백 받아 참고한 후 2차 설문조사에 응하여 가중치를 재선정하게 된다. 조사에 참여할 패널의 선정은 수자원분야의 전문가를 대상으로 하였다. 또한 각 인자에 대한 가중치를 수집하는 방법을 다양하게 설정하여 기법에 따른 영향을 검토하였다. 수집기법은 상대적 가중치 결정법 중에서 가장 많이 사용되는 순위법과 직접입력법, 절대적인 기준에 대한 가중치를 수집하기 위하여 Fuzzy 가중치 입력법을 사용하였으며 이 때 각 인자가 소속되는 분야와 DPSIR framework 요소에 대해서도 별도로 가중치를 수집하여 최종적인 인자의 가중치를 결정하였다. 본 연구는 추가 연구를 통해 남한강에 적용되며 인자의 자료는 문헌조사, 통계자료 조사 및 수리학적 수치모형 등의 분석을 통해 수집될 예정이다. 이를 통하여 사회, 경제, 문화, 환경적인 측면을 고려한 인자들을 반영한 하천의 구간별 상대적 홍수취약도를 정량적으로 제시할 수 있으며 하천 구간별 치수관리 우선순위를 결정하는데 적극적으로 활용될 수 있다.

A Study on the Training Plan for Strengthening the Ability of Human Resources in Culture and Arts Education: Focus on work-site application of arte academy training program (문화예술교육 전문인력 역량강화를 위한 연수방안 연구: 아르떼 아카데미 연수 현업활용 분석을 중심으로)

  • The purpose this study is to analyze how human resources in culture and arts education use the contents of Arts Academy training program in the field, and to suggest implications and improvements of the training for strengthening the competence of professional manpower. For this purpose, an online survey was conducted for the participants of the Arte Academy training program to investigate the actual application rate. As a result of the analysis, overall application of the training was high. However, the work-site application was divided into indirect and direct applications. Indirect application showed higher results than direct application. This shows that the training is effective in terms of strengthening the participants' personal competence, but they are somewhat lacking in applying the contents learned in the training directly in the field. Indirect application is a result of training and is a necessary part of strengthening competence. However, considering that culture and arts education is a consumer-oriented policy that enjoys culture and art, it needs to be strengthened more directly in the field, and the competence of the applicant should be applied to the field more smoothly. The Korea Arts & Culture Education Service needs to review and implement such a training that has a higher direct application than indirect application.

A Study on Technology Acceptance Plans to Expand Direct Participation in the Sports Industry (스포츠 산업의 직접 참여 확대를 위한 기술수용 방안 연구)

  • This study seeks to find a way to induce users to expand their direct participation in sports through the acceptance of digital technology. From July 1 to August 30, 2022, a survey was conducted targeting home training users who applied the Internet of Things (IoT). 129 people participated in the survey through non-face-to-face self-administration method. For data processing, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and 3-step mediation regression analysis were conducted using IBM's SPSS 21.0 program. The results of the study are as follows. First, in the relationship between the home training PPM model and direct participation in sports, ease appeared to have a mediating effect. In the factors of push, simple functionality showed a complete mediating effect, and inefficiency showed a partial mediating effect. Among pull factors, enjoyment and possibility of experience showed a complete mediating effect. In the mooring factors, individual innovativeness showed a complete mediating effect. Second, in the relationship between home training PPM model and direct participation in sports, usefulness showed a mediating effect. In the factors of push, simple functionality showed a complete mediating effect, and inefficiency showed a partial mediating effect. Among pull factors, enjoyment and possibility of experience showed a complete mediating effect. Among the mooring factors, individual innovativeness showed a partial mediating effect. Through this research, it is expected that the sports industry will contribute to the expansion of consumption expenditure and economic growth through the expansion of digital technologies such as NFT, Metaverse, and virtual/augmented reality.

Industrial Survey Analysis for Engineering Education of Civil, Chemical, and Electronics Engineering (토목, 화공, 전자 분야의 공학교육에 대한 산업체 설문조사 분석)

  • In this study, several issues of engineering education of Korea were pointed out through the survey for industrial employees in the areas of civil, chemical and electronics engineering. For the area of civil engineering, a questionnaire based upon the outcomes of ABEEK(accreditation board for engineering education of Korea) was developed for the survey, and the replies from the survey were then analyzed. For the areas of chemical and electronics engineering, data obtained from the literature study were used for analyses. The results of analyses show that the level of engineering education is much lower than that of the industrial demand in the case of all three divisions. It shows the urgency in improvement of engineering education.
