  • The purpose of this study is to develop the auto-building algorithm of the Geometric Network Model(GNM), a topology model including geometric information because of the need to reflect the features' geometric characteristic into the topology model, which is for development of indoor 3D virtual model enabling queries. As the critical algorithm, the Straight Medial Axis Transformation(SMAT) algorithm is proposed in order to automatically extract the medial axis of features. The SMAT algorithm is generalized from the existing S-MAT algorithm and a range of target features where applicable is extended from simple polygons to weakly simple polygons which mean the polygons containing the inner ring inside. The GNM built automatically is finally printed out as the .csv file for easy access and w ide application in other systems. This auto-building algorithm of the GNM is available for plenty of cases such as finding a shortest path, guiding a route in emergency situation, and semantic analysis.

  • This paper presents a visual tracking algorithm for the golf swing motion analysis by using the information of the pixels of video frames and movement of the golf club to solve the problem fixed center point in model based tracking method. The model based tracking method use the polynomial function for trajectory displaying of upswing and downswing. Therefore it is under the hypothesis of the no movement of the center of gravity so this method is not for the amateurs. we proposed method using the information of pixel and movement, we first detected the motion by using the information of pixel in the frames in golf swing motion. Then we extracted the club head and hand by a properties of club shaft that consist of the parallel line and the moved location of club in up-swing and down-swing. In addition, we can extract the center point of user by tracking center point of the line between center of head and both foots. And we made an experiment with data that movement of center point is big. Finally, we can track the real trajectory of club head, hand and center point by using proposed tracking algorithm.

  • Applications of 3D data increase with advancement of multimedia technique and contents, and it is necessary to manage and to retrieve for 3D data efficiently. In this paper, we propose a new method using the sliced shape which extracts efficiently a feature description for shape-based retrieval of 3D models. Since the feature descriptor of 3D model should be invariant to translation, rotation and scale for its model, normalization of models requires for 3D model retrieval system. This paper uses principal component analysis(PCA) method in order to normalize all the models. The proposed algorithm finds a direction of each axis by the PCA and creates orthogonal n planes in each axis. These planes are orthogonalized with each axis, and are used to extract sliced shape image. Sliced shape image is the 2D plane created by intersecting at between 3D model and these planes. The proposed feature descriptor is a distribution of Euclidean distances from center point of sliced shape image to its outline. A performed evaluation is used for average of the normalize modified retrieval rank(ANMRR) with a standard evaluation from MPEG-7. In our experimental results, we demonstrate that the proposed method is an efficient 3D model retrieval.
