  • 본 논문에서는 웨이블렛 변환 알고리듬을 이용 한 음향반향 제거 기법을 제안하였다. 일반적으로 LMS 알고리듬은 간단하지만 그 수렴특성이 고유치 분포율과 탭 수에 의해 결정되는 단점이 있고 MDF (multidelay filter)를 이용한 적응 알고리듬은 블록단위로 수행되는 LMS를 수렴속도 측면에서 보완해주지만 긴 차수일때는 FFT에 비례하여 연산량이 늘어나는 단점이 있다. 본 논문은 웨이블렛의 직교성을 이용한 변환 적응 알고리듬을 음향반향 제거기에 도입하여 그 성능을 비교·평가하였다. 모의실험을 통해 시간영역 LMS, MDF 알고리듬과 비교하여 제안한 알고리듬의 수렴성능이 우수함을 보였다.

Shock Test Signal Analysis using Wavelets (웨이블렛을 이용한 충격신호분석)

  • The underwater explosion shock test is performed for the evaluation of the shock-resistant capability which is a very critical factor considering the survivability of the battle ship. Some measured signals have impulsive noise and gaussian white noise because of the unstable power supply system and the transient movement of cables during the underwater explosion shock test. The advanced shock signal analysis method which remove the noise of measured signal using the threshold policy of the median filter and the orthogonal wavelet coefficients are proposed. It is verified that the signal-to-noise ratio was improved about 30㏈ by the numerical simulation.

  • In this paper, we propose the growing and pruning algorithm to design the optimal structure of modular wavelet neural network(MWNN) with F-projection and geometric growing criterion. Geometric growing criterion consists of estimated error criterion considering local error and angle criterion which attempts to assign wavelet function that is nearly orthogonal to all other existing wavelet functions. These criteria provide a methodology which a network designer can construct MWNN according to one's intention. The proposed growing algorithm increases in number of module or the size of modules of MWNN. Also, the pruning algorithm eliminates unnecessary node of module or module from constructed MWNN to overcome the problem due to localized characteristic of wavelet neural network which is used to modules of MWNN. We apply the proposed constructing algorithm of the optimal structure of MWNN to approximation problems of 1-D function and 2-D function, and evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm to design the adaptive structure of wavelet neural network with F-projection and geometric growing criterion.   • 무선통신분야에서 LMS5(Least Mean Square) 알고리즘은 식이 간단하고 계산량이 비교적 적기 때문에 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 시간영역에서 처리할 경우 입력신호의 고유치 변동폭이 넓게 분포되어 수렴속도가 저하하는 문제점이 있다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 신호를 FFT(Fast Fourier Trasnform)나 DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform)로 변환하여 신호간의 상관도를 제거함으로써 시간영역에서 LMS알고리즘을 적용할 때 보다 수렴속도를 크게 향강시킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 수렴속도 향상을 위해 시간영역의 적응 알고리즘을 직교변환인 고속웨이브렛(wavelet)변환을 이용하여 변환영역에서 수행하며, 짧은 필터계수를 가지는 DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform)특성에 맞는 Fast running FIR 알고리즘을 이용하여 WTLMS(Wavelet Transform LMS)적응알고리즘을 통신시스템에 적용한다. 적응 알고리즘의 성능향상을 위하여 시간에 따라 적응상수의 크기를 가변시켜 수렴 초기에는 큰 적응상수로 따른 수렴이 가능하도록 하고 점차 적응상수의 크기를 줄여서 misadjustment도 줄이는 방법의 적응 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안한 알고리즘을 실제로 적응잡음제거기(adaptive noise canceler)에 적용하여 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 하였으며, 각 알고리즘들의 계산량, 수렴속도를 이용하여 각각 비교, 분서하여 그 성능이 우수함을 입증하였다.

Torsional Damping Estimation of a Segmented Hull Model with Modal Coupling (모드 연성을 수반하는 분할 모형의 비틀림 감쇠비 추정)

  • The identification of modal damping of a segmented hull model with torsional response is difficult task due to the coupling of modal response. This is because the 1st and 2nd torsional vibration modes are closely spaced in frequency domain leading to the situation that the modal decomposition is difficult to achieve by simple band-pass filter. Present study applied several different modal decomposition methods to derive the damping ratio of different modes. The modal decomposition methods considered in this study are simple band-pass filter, Hilbert vibration decomposition, Wavelet transform and proper orthogonal decomposition. Coupled free decay signal obtained from the torsional hammering test on a segmented hull model was processed with four different methods and the derived damping ratios were compared with each other. Discussions also have been made on the pros and cons of the different methodologies.

Performance Analysis of WFMT Modulation System Robust to ICI and Doppler Effect (부반송파간 간섭과 도플러 효과에 강한 WFMT 변조 방식의 성능 분석)

  • OFDM is very effective for the high speed communication system. However, OFDM has the problems of high PAPR and serious ICI, which is different from the single carrier system. Especially, ICI problem caused by phase noise, Doppler effect and frequency offset is main reason for poor performance since it breaks down the orthogonality between subcarriers in OFDM communication system. Therefore, WFMT modulation scheme is studied and the effect of the carrier frequency offset and phase noise is analyzed. WFMT modulation scheme is based on the wavelet theory and complex filter banks for synthesis and analysis of multichannel signal. WFHT modulation scheme keeps on the advantage of filter banks system and can be easily possible for the implementation of filter banks. In this paper, we compare ISI and ICI distortions of the WFMT and OFDM system due to the carrier frequency offset and phase noise. Also, we analyze the PAPR and BER performances in the HPA and ICI situation caused by the Doppler frequency shift and the frequency offset.
