  • 3D 게임 산업이 발전하고 여러 사용자가 온라인 상에서 즐길 수 있도록 대형화되면서 그 규모 또한 대형화되고 있다. 본 논문은 대규모 실외용 지형을 생성하기에 적합하도록 계층화된 지형 구조를 소개하고 있으며, 기존의 지형 CLOD 알고리즘을 개선하여 넓고 구조화된 지형의 렌더링 속도 문제를 해결하였다. 이를 통하여 대규모 온라인 게임의 지명 구성 시 발생하는 지형 최적화 문제를 해결하고 실시간으로 게임을 진행할 수 있다.

  • 우리나라에서는 1995년부터 국가지리정보체계(NGIS)구축 기본계획을 수립하여 건설교통부, 정보통신부, 과학기술부 및 행정자치부 등 범국가적으로 2000년까지 제 1단계 사업을 마쳤으며, 2001년부터 제 2단계 사업을 추진 중에 있다. 하지만 국가지형 및 시설물 등이 하루가 다르게 변화하는 정보화 사회에서 다양한 객체에 대한 위치 및 속성정보의 획득, 저장, 관리, 활용을 위한 신속한 수치지도 수정갱신이 요구된다. 또한 도로시설물을 비롯한 다양한 지형지물정보는 공간정보를 다루는 도시, 교통, 물류, 환경 및 군사 분야 등 다양한 분야에서 의사결정 및 계획에 필수적으로 요구되는 정보이고 이와 같은 정보는 신속하고 정확하게 취득되어야 하며, 경제적이며, 효율적으로 정보를 획득하는 신기술을 적용한 작업방법론이 필요하다. 현재 국내에서도 신기술인 "차량탑재 모바일매핑 시스템(Mobile Mapping System : GPS-Van) 개발이 완료되었고, 이를 활용한 각종 지형공간정보의 수정 갱신 작업이 이루어지고 있기 때문에 이를 활용한 수치지도 수정갱신의 가능성에 대한 검토와 방법론에 대한 정립이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내에서 개발된 신기술인 GPS-Van을 이용한 수치지도 수정갱신을 위한 정확도 분석 및 오차의 영향 분석을 통하여 보다 높은 정밀도의 도로기반 수치지도 수정 갱신의 가능성 및 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, we have investigated the effects of geographic information on the performance of multiple ground target tracking system using multiple sensors. Geographic information is utilized in two cases: association and masking target measurement. Virtually no improvement is observed to the overall performance of tracking system when we applied mobility to the association procedure. Masking target measurement based on mobility produces desirable result that the number of false tracks is reduced. Since geographic information can be regarded as an additional sensor in sensor fusion paradigm, careful usage is required.

  • This paper propose a new triangular mesh approximation method using wavelet coefficients for large terrain data. Using spatio-freguency localization characteristics of wavelet coefficients, we determine the complexity of terrain data and approximate the data according to the complexity. This proposed algorithm is simple and requires low computational cost due to its top-down approach. Because of the similarity between the mesh approximation and data compression procedures based on wavelet transform, we combine the mesh approximation scheme with the Embedded Zerotree Wavelet (EZW) coding scheme for the effective management of large terrain data. Computer simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is very prospective for the 3-D visualization of terrain data.

  • In this study, we try to develope the radio control photographing system with 35 mm camera to obtain 3-dimension large scale geographic information more effectively, to automatize and computerize the basic design and practical design of road. By applying this system on getting data which is needed to design road, this study has an object to promote efficiency in possesion and management of geographic information. As result of this study, this system could obtain geographic information effectively on the object region, could get large scale geographic information which was suitable for expected accuracy by photographing in 400 m height and could ac-quire profile, crossection and earth-work volume quickly and exactly.

  • Non-point source pollution poses a serious threat to river. therefore non-point pollution model was developed. This non-point pollution model requires detailed spatial data for accurate predictions Geo-spatial Information System(GSIS) is well suited to those needs. The parameters for these models provided by the GSIS were slope, slope shape, field slope length and SCS run off curve number. Hence, this study presents an application of GSIS processing tools for AGNPS model developed by the ARS(Agricultural Research Service) in cooperation with the MPCA(Minnesota Pollution Control Agency) and has developed interface that construct the input data of ASCII type in the AGNPS model using GSIS.

  • Digitalized topographic information is necessary for many areas such as landscape analysis, civil engineering planning and design, and geographic information systems. It can also be used in flight simulator and automatic navigation of unmanned plane if it is stored in computer in relevant format. Topographic information is coded with various symbols including contour lines, and is analyzed by trained personnels. The information should be stored in computer for automatic analysis, but it requires a lot of time and manpower to enter the contours using manual input devices such as digitizing tablet. This paper deals with automatic extraction and reconstruction of 3D topographic information from 2D terrain map. Several algorithms were developed in this work including contour segment finding algorithm and contour segment linking algorithm. The algorithm were tested using real 2D terrain map.

  • As the results of the information project, manufacturing of the digital map and various thematic maps of the national land has been completed. Furthermore, it is necessary to organize a systemized management system, which can control and utilize all artificial features (e.g. buildings, roads, bridges etc.) as well as natural geographic features (e.g. rivers etc). Howener, it has difficulties in managing NGIS as a unified system, because of the discordance of DB of each geographic management organizations. Therefore, this study has been conducted to apply to the system and method providing geographic UFID that can be a key in order to managing, searching and utilizing geographic and artificial features and that makes it be able to estimate the location with the only identifier. Moreover, the system and method, providing geographic UFID, applies to systemized management of NGIS DB as well as consistency of information.

  • Accurate and rapid establishment of mobile communication is important in mobile communication system. Currently, the base station parameters to establish a network are determined by cell planning tool. However, it is necessary to perform new cell planning for each new installation of the base station, and there may be a problem that parameters are not suitable for the actual environment are set, such as obstacle information that is not applied in the cell planning tool. In this paper, we proposed methods for path loss prediction using DNN and topographical division using CNN in SON server. After topography classification, a SON server configures the base station parameters according to topography, and update parameters for each topography. The proposed methods can configure the base station parameters automatically that are considered topography information and environmental changes.

  • 해저지형에 관한 정보는 어류의 이동 경로나 정치성 어장 위치의 적절성 등을 판단하는데 중요하게 사용될 뿐만 아니라 선박의 항로, 해양구조물의 건설과도 관련이 있는 귀중한 정보이다. 이 정보는 음향 측심기, DGPS 수신기, 퍼스널 컴퓨터 및 측량용 소프트웨어로 구성되는 시스템을 사용하여 얻었다. 여기서는 현장에서 측정한 해저지형 관련 데이터의 처리에 관해 언급하였다. (중략)
