Efficient FIR Upsample Circuit (효율적인 FIR Upsample 회로)

  • FIR upsampling circuit generates output data L times faster than input data. For efficient implementation of upsampler, FT filter stages Noble identity theory. In this paper, we propose a method that one of the divided filter stages is removed by making Phase delay to integer number. 192taps 2-times upsampler used in CDtoDAT is designed using proposed method. The designed circuit is synthesized using Hynix 0.18um process. By the simulation results, it is shown that the proposed method leads to up to 48%, 43% and 99.9% and 68% reduction in area, power consumption and maximum phase delay error and maximum ripple error compared with conventional method.

  • This paper deals with a stochastic stabilization of observer-based output-feedback control Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy system with Markovian input delay. The finite Markovian process is adopted to model the input delay of the overall control system. It is assumed that the zero and hold devices are used for control input. The continuous-time T-S fuzzy system with the Markovian input delay is discretized for easy handling delay, accordingly, the discretized T-S fuzzy system is represented by a discrete-time T-S fuzzy system with jumping parameters. The stochastic stabilizability of the jump T-S fuzzy system is derived and formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The usefulness of the proposed algorithm is also certificated by simulation of 2 degree of freedom helicopter model.

  • TCP and UDP is a transport layer protocol of Internet. TCP is a connection oriented protocol which supports a reliable data transfer by offering error and flow control, but it bring a transmission delay. On the other hand, the UDP is a connectionless protocol which does not carry out error and flow control, but it guarantees a realtime transmission. There are hardly any protocols which supports not only realtime functions but also data reliability. In this paper, we have designed and implemented a new TCP mode option which supports reliable realtime transmission. Our designed TCP performs an error recovery process during a fixed amount of time. This time is negotiated during the connection establishment phase. Our designed TCP is tested in real environments, and we find that it is relatively faster than the standard TCP and more reliable than the UDP. It can be used for the reliable transfer of realtime multimedia data.

  • In this study, software products developed in the course of testing, software managers in the process of testing software and tools for effective learning effects perspective has been studied using the NHPP software. The delayed software S-shaped reliability model applied to distribution was based on finite failure NHPP. Software error detection techniques known in advance, but influencing factors for considering the errors found automatically and learning factors, by prior experience, to find precisely the error factor setting up the testing manager are presented comparing the problem. As a result, the learning factor is greater than automatic error that is generally efficient model could be confirmed. This paper, numerical example of applying using time between failures and parameter estimation using maximum likelihood estimation method, after the efficiency of the data through trend analysis model selection were efficient using the mean square error and $R^2$(coefficient of determination).

Delay Characteristics and Sound Quality of Space Based Digital Waveguide Model (공간 기준 디지털 도파관 모델의 지연 특성과 합성음의 음질)

  • Digital waveguide model is a general method that is used in physical modeling of musical instruments. Wave motion is analyzed by time or by space in digital waveguide model. Because sampling is made via time, it is general that musical instrument model is described by wave motion of time. In this paper, we synthesized the musical instrument sound by adding instrument body model to the spatial based string model. In this way, we could improve sound quality and process musical instrument model's tone control variables effectively. We explained about delay error that happens in string and body in space based sampling and showed method to process fractional delay using FD (Fractional Delay)filter. Finally, we explained the relation between tone quality and number of delays. And we also compared the result with time base digital waveguide model.

Efficient Error Recovery Protocol for ATM Clustering Systems (ATM 클러스터링 시스템을 위한 효율적인 에러 복구 프로토콜)

  • ATM Clustering System과 같이 SAN(System Area Network) 환경에서 동작하는 시스템은 낮은 지연시간과 넓은 대역폭의 네트워크가 필수적이나 기존의 에러 복구 프로토콜들은 이러한 요구를 충족시키기에는 큰 오버헤드를 가지고 있다. 제안된 새로운 에러 복구 프로토콜은 ATM Clustering System 환경에서 최적의 성능을 나타내는 light-weight 프로토콜로 에러가 없는 상황과 에러 복구가 진행중인 상황에 따라 acknowledgement 주기를 적응적으로 변화시키는 adaptive acknowledgement scheme를 제안하여 적용하였다. 제안된 프로토콜은 상용 툴인 SDT를 이용한 논리 검증 받았고, DEVSim++ 환경에서의 성능 분석을 통해 프로토콜이 최상의 성능을 보이기 위한 파라메터 값을 찾았고, 이 값을 적용하였을 때의 성능을 기존의 프로토콜과 비교하여 제안된 프로토콜이 더 우수함을 확인하였다.Abstract While a system working with SAN, such as ATM Clustering System, requires a network with low latency and wide bandwidth, the previous error recovery protocols have a serious network overhead to satisfy this requirement. The suggested error recovery protocol is a light-weight protocol which can shows its best performance at ATM Clustering System and uses a newly suggested adaptive acknowledgement scheme. In the adaptive acknowledgement scheme, the period of acknowledgement is dynamically changed depending on the state of the network. We proved the logical correctness of our protocol with SDT and did performance analysis with DEVSim++. From the analysis, we found the optimal parameter values for best performance and showed that our protocol works better than the previous error recovery protocols.

A Routing Mechanism to Prolong the Lifetime of Error-Prone Wireless Sensor Networks (에러율이 높은 무선 센서 네트워크의 수명을 연장시키기 위한 라우팅 기법)

  • This paper presents a routing mechanism to prolong the lifetime of error-prone wireless sensor networks. The proposed mechanism estimates the amount of energy consumption for communications and the expected residual energy in advance, which is based on the qualities of wireless links. Then, the proposed mechanism selects a path that is expected to have the most residual energy, and sends sensory data along the path. This mechanism reduces energy consumption caused by unnecessary retransmissions and distributes traffic evenly over the network owing to taking error rates into consideration, and extends energy depletion by selecting a path with the maximum of the minimal expected residual energy amounts. The experiment results show that the proposed mechanism prolongs network lifetime, compared to the existing methods.

A Modified Leader-based Protocol for Reliable Multicast In Multi-access Wireless LAN (다중접속 무선 LAN 환경에서 효율적 인 멀티캐스트 서비스)

  • 멀티캐스트 서비스는 한 단말이 수신 그를 내의 여러 단말들에게 같은 내용의 데이터 패킷을 전송하는 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 단일 채널 다중 접속 무선 LAN(Wireless LAN)의 작은 셀 환경을 기반으로 효율적 인 멀티캐스트 서비스에 대한 방안을 제안한다. 이 시스템에서 이동 단말들이 동시에 하나 이상의 패킷을 전송하는 경우 패킷 충돌(collision)이 발생하여 수신단말은 정확하게 패킷을 수신할 수 업다. 그러므로 하나의 단말만이 전송을 해야 한다. 이와 같은 문제점 때문에 신뢰성 있는 멀티캐스트 서 비스를 위해서는 단일 채널 다중 접속 방법을 그리고 무선 링크의 높은 에러율을 극복하기 위해서는 재전송 기법(ARQ)을 고려해야 한다. 제안하는 MLBP(modified Leader-Based Protocol)는 멀티캐스트 그룹 내에서 리더(leader)를 선정하고 이 리더가 송신단말에게 피드백 정보를 대표로 전송하는 역할을 수행한다. 신뢰성 확보를 위해서는 에러가 있는 패킷을 리더 외의 단말들이 수신 했을 경우에 재전송을 유도하기 위해 리더는 긍정응답(ACK) 패킷을 전송하지 않고 침묵한다. 리더 외의 단말이 에러가 있는 패킷을 수신했을 경우 각 단말들은 지체 없이 부정 응답(NAK)을 전송하여 이를 수신하는 단말에서 패킷 충돌을 유발시키고 재전송을 유도한다. 기존의 지연응답(delayed feedback) 방법과 확률적 방법을 사용한 기법들을 분석하여 측정 한 성능을 비교한 결과 제안하는 mLBP이 다른 두 기 법보다 우수한 성능을 나타냄을 보인다.

  • This paper describes a synthesis method for a self-equalized dual-passband filter. Compared to conventional dual-passband filter, a self-equalized dual-passband filter can reduce BER(bit error rate) in digital data communications and does not need an external equalizer for group-delay equalization. To validate the synthesis technique, a 10-pole dual-mode dual-passband filter which has two self-equalized 5-pole elliptic response passband is synthesized.

A Fast and Reliable Transmission Scheme for Urgent Information in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에서 신속하고 신뢰적인 긴급정보 전송 기법에 관한 연구)

  • 무선 센서 네트워크에서는 화재경보와 습도정보와 같이 긴급한 정보는 다른 정보보다 신뢰적이고 낮은 지연시간을 갖게 전송되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 긴급정보를 신속하고 신뢰적으로 전송하기 위한 기법을 제안하였다. 제안하는 기법은 가용한 다중경로를 선택하고 RTS에 기입하여 순차적으로 CTS를 수신함으로써 채널 에러율에 강하고, 충돌영역에 따라 세 영역으로부터 CTS를 수신하기 때문에 높은 채널 에러율에서 신속하게 패킷을 전송하도록 하였다. 또한 ns-2 시뮬레이터를 이용한 실험을 통하여 제안한 기법의 성능을 CMSA MAC과 비교를 하였고, 실험 결과를 통해 제안하는 기법이 보다 신속하고 신뢰적인 전송을 하는 것을 확인하였다.
