평균수명이 연장되고, 사회변화에 따른 핵가족화가 가속화 됨에 따라, "노인문제"는 결코 간과할 수 없는 심각한 사회문제로 대두되고 있다. 이 노인문제는 과거 가족제도에 대한 향수 같은 것으로는 이제 해결될 수 없으며 사회적인 해결 방안이 모색되고 실현되어야 하는 것이 오늘의 현실이다. 그러나 이러한 심각성에도 불구하고 우리나라의 노인복지 현실은 전무한 상태라 해도 과언이 아니다. 이런 어려운 여건 속에서 작으나마 지역사회 노인들의 건강, 식사, 소일거리 등을 해결하기 위해 노력하는 곳이 있다. "사회복지법인 자선단 은천노인복지회 (회장 : 이벙만ㆍ동대문구 장안동)." 노인들의 어려운 일을 도와주고, 취업알선을 해주고 있는 이들의 활동을 소개한다.

The purpose of this study is to verify the influence of volunteering on the sense of community and the community capacity, and the mediating effect of the sense of community on the relationship between volunteering variables(the period and satisfaction of volunteering) and the community capacity as well. Study population is 1,416 elderly volunteers who participated in the government-sponsored elderly volunteer program for prevention of depression and suicide in 2016. The results show that the experience of volunteering plays an important role in improving the sense of community and the community capacity among the older participants. As for the analysis of the mediating effect, the sense of community has a perfect mediating effect between the period of volunteering and the community capacity, and a partial mediating effect between volunteering satisfaction and the community capacity. Based on these findings, the theoretical and practical implications were discussed.

This study aims to examine the effect of housing characteristics of older adults on the willingness to continue living in local communities in order to realize the Aging in place of the elderly in Korea. Considering that the health status of the elderly is important for aging in place, both healthy and unhealthy cases were analyzed in the analyses. Housing characteristics include home ownership, housing cost burden, housing convenience, housing satisfaction, and residential environment satisfaction. The study sample is 9,798 elderly people from the 2017 survey on the elderly. Key findings are as follows: First, while 6,704 older adults (68.4%) chose to continue living in the community, 3,094 (31.6%) of the elderly did not choose to live in the local community. Second, the elderly who chose to stay in the local community are likely to have more real estate assets and less burden of housing expenses than the elderly group who did not. Third, the results report that older adults with more real estate assets and lower the housing cost burden are likely to choose sustainable living in the local community. The findings suggest that the majority of the elderly actually preferred Aging in place. This study concludes with practice and policy implications for realizing aging in place considering the elderly's needs.

본 연구에서는 노인의 생계급여와 기초연금 수급, 건강상태, 지역사회만족, 우울 간의 구조적 관계분석을 통해 노인의 우울 감소 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 분석자료는 2017년 노인실태조사 패널데이터 중 노인 본인이 직접 응답한 2,493명을 분석에 사용하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 생계급여와 기초연금 수급은 노인의 건강상태에 정(+)적인 영향을 미쳤고, 지역사회만족에는 부(-)적인 영향을 미쳤고, 우울에는 정(+)적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 노인의 건강상태는 지역사회만족에 부(-)적인 영향을 미쳤고, 우울에 정(+)적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 노인의 지역사회만족은 우울에 부(-)적인 영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 노인의 생계급여와 기초연금 수급과 우울사이에서 건강상태, 지역사회만족의 다중매개효과는 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다.

This study explored the experience of the elderly participants and the community users on the social job program For this, in-depth interviews as focus group interview and individual interview were done for the 21 elderly participants and the staffs, the community users in four social job program for the elderly in C city. Findings of this study as follows: first, the elderly valued the transfomation of their healthier life style as well as the supplementary income from the programme. Second, the elderly got individual benefits as like the healthier life style, more income, pride, recognition of family, and also experienced bond with users and the pride of contributor for the community. Third, they defined the job program as 'paid volunteer service', the care of society for the elderly and the contribution of the elderly for the community. Fourth, the user had disbelief on the elderly at first, they were satisfied with the quality of the commodity and services at last, then they recognized the elderly active and competent. As a result, the social job program for the elderly is good for both the elderly and the community. This result suggest that to make good use of the capability and the will of contribution of the elderly, systematic and sustainable support for the elderly is required.

적절한 영양섭취는 노인에서 나타날 수 있는 각종 생활습관질환의 예방과 치료에 도움을 줄 뿐 만 아니라, 신체 기능을 향상시켜 삶의 질 향상에 중요한 역할을 한다. 노인계층은 노화에 수반되는 각종 생리기능의 저하, 사회심리적 고립, 유병상태 및 투약, 활동량 저하에 따라 식생활이 불량해지며, 이는 곧 영양상태 불량을 초래하여 건강을 더욱 악화시킨다. 우리나라는 현재 노인 인구의 급격한 증가에 따라 지역사회 노인 대상의 각종 보건영양서비스 필요성이 대두되고 있다.(중략)

지역 사회 서비스는 노인들이 질적으로 보다나은 삶을 영위할 수 있도록 돕는 기능을 해야 한다. 적절한 서비스의 공급을 위해서는 지역사회 서비스 욕구 사정의 과정이 우선적으로 요구되어지며, 이에 본 연구는 호주 NSW주 Illawarra지역내의 retirement village에 거주하는 자가 돌봄이 가능한 노인들의 지역사회 서비스에 대한 욕구를 평가하는데 그 목적을 두었다. Illawarra지역내의 여덟개 retirement village에 거주하는 98명의 자가 돌봄이 가능한 노인들을 대상으로 그들의 1) functional status; 2) 지역 사회 서비스에 대한 지식정도; 3) 지역 사회 서비스 사용정도; 4) 지역 사회 서비스 만족도; 5) 잠재적인 지역 사회 서비스 욕구 등에 대한 자가 보고형 설문조사가 이루어졌다. 수집된 자료들은 JMP(for Mackitosh) program으로 통계 처리되었고, computed frequencies가 본 연구의 목표 달성을 위해 주로 사용되었다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 아래와 같다. 1. 평균 연령 76세인 대상자들의 80%이상이 그들의 일상 생활 운영에 다른 사람의 도움을 필요로 하지 않으며 건강상태 또한 양호하다고 자각했다. 2. 90%이상의 대상자들이 지역 사회 서비스를 이용하지 않았다. 3. 70%이상의 대상자가 지역 사회 서비스의 존재에 대해 지각하고 있었다. 4. 60%이상의 대상자가 필요시에는 지역 사회 서비스에 관한 정보를 어렵지 않게 얻을 수 있다고 생각했다. 5. 40%의 대상자가 기존의 지역 사회 서비스에 대한 양과 질에 만족을 나타냈고, 그 외의 대상자들 (60%)은 그 지역 사회 서비스에 대한구체적인 지식이 없다고 보고했다. 6. 25%의 대상자들이 여러 지역 사회 서비스에 관한 관심을 보였다. 결론적으로 대다수의 대상자들은 대부분의 지역 사회 서비스들을 필요로 하지 않았고, 이러한 결과는 현재 자가간호가 가능한 retirement village 거주 노인들에게 당연한 것으로 보여진다. 그러나, 자존감이 강한 노인들에게 서비스 욕구는 자가 돌봄이 건강에 대한 포기정도로 왜곡되어 자각될 가능성이 있는 만큼, 본 연구를 통해 보고된 대상자들의 지역 사회 서비스에 대한 관심도는 고려해 볼만한 가치가 있다고 여겨지며, 이에 노인들의 자존감이 서비스 욕구에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구를 제언하는 바이다.

The increased needs for medical cost containment and the quality of life improvement for the low-income elderly with chronic disease require the complementary relationship between hospital care and community health services. This study investigated the current status of the linkage between Korean hospital care and community services using Seoul Welfare Panel Study(SWPS) data. Logistic regression analysis was used to examine the effects of experiences of hospitalization and outpatient health services on use and needs of community health services. The analysis results indicated that the elderly with chronic disease who have not experienced outpatient health services were unlikely to receive health and social services in the community. Even those who have experienced hospitalization were not provided complementary health services in the community despite the increasing demand.

목적 : 노인 인구가 급격히 증가하면서 노인 돌봄에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 한국, 일본, 대만, 중국의 노인들을 위한 지역사회 돌봄 시스템을 비교하는 것이다. 방법 : 본 연구는 PubMed를 포함한 다양한 데이터베이스를 사용하여 4개국의 커뮤니티 케어 시스템을 파악했다. 검색은 지역사회 돌봄, 통합 돌봄, 노인 돌봄 등 다양한 용어를 사용해 이뤄졌으며 연구는 제외 및 포함 기준에 따라 식별되었다. 결과 : 본 연구에는 총 77개의 연구가 포함되었다. 이 연구는 4개국의 지역사회 돌봄체계를 분석했다. 그리고 의료정책에 초점을 맞춰 "퇴원지원"과 "방문의료"의 시스템과 운영사례를 비교하였다. 결론 : 지역사회 돌봄에서 적절한 한의 홈 헬스케어 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 한의사에 대한 인식 제고와 예산 증액이 필요하며, 본 연구는 향후 보다 발전된 노인돌봄정책 수립에 활용될 수 있다.
