The purpose of this study is to define the concept of community based on the residential area and to review the issues on the research of community in related discipline area. The discourse about community has been developed in the field of social psychology, regional planning and architecture, housing studies, and research results by NGO. These studies of community has been dealt with social interaction and norm as well as the physical aspects of community. The research on community has been studied with the approach of structure and functionalist, systems theory approach, conflict theory approach, ecological approach, microsociological approach, and social construction approach. However, these approaches have not integrated together, but recognized community in a social or personal context. The social construction approach among these approaches suggest a useful conceptual framework for studying community in the point of view that social condition changes according to the autonomic individual. Understanding of community will influence to establishing a community norm, to planning a communal space, and to developing strategies of community. And it also takes a Important role t\ulcorner change the housing policy, institution and life style.

This research is about recovery experiences of rehabilitators who reside in the therapeutic community. Nine rehabilitators who reside in the therapy community have participated in this research. The research methods are made up with in-depth interview and descriptive analysis phrases of phenomenology Giorgi has proposed. The result of this research can be summarized as follows: participants have experienced courage to confront, reestablishment of responsibility, social skills training in daily life, therapeutic ally family, improvement in labour productivity, golden bridge of returning to their family and encounter self-existence. Based on the result of research, researchers have proposed the job-training program in therapeutic community, link the therapy community to the resource of local community and participation of rehabilitators' family in programs of the therapeutic community.

This study attempted to demonstrate the interaction effects between attitudinal frames of nine daily newspapers and community structure in the 1994s Michigan gubernatorial election. It was theoretically guided by framing research and the self-presentation theory of social-cognition perspective and empirically tested with archival data. For the purpose of this study, content analysis of nine statewide daily newspapers was employed in order to provide data on news framing. Data on voting rates for John Engler, winner of the 1994 Michigan Gubernatorial election, in each county of Michigan were used for vote choice while Michigan census data were used for constructing an Index of community structural differentiation. The results indicated that majority compliance frames were slightly more related with vote choice in homogeneous com-unities rather than were majority compliance frames in heterogeneous communities while social identification frames tended to have an influence on vote choice in heterogeneous communities more than did social identification frames in homogeneous communities.

This study begins with the question of how culture-based communities can form a community culture and become a community of sustainable development. Based on the concept of community, community development factors and stage of development, cultural activities, and policy implementation theory, policy execution analysis models suitable for culture-based community projects were derived. A qualitative case study method was adopted as a research method, and success stories of culture-based village communities were selected as the 'Gamgol Community' in Sadong, Ansan, 'Sangdong Community' in Daebu-dong, Ansan, and 'Grimae Village' in Sinse-dong, Andong. Through in-depth interviews, literature analysis, and direct observation, the research analysis used pattern matching, explanation, chronicle analysis, and case integration analysis methods presented by Yin (2009). As a result of the study, first, the characteristics of the policy implementation strategy were taking place in the process of step-by-step development. The main factors in the community development phase were the improvement of community consciousness through the emotional change of participants and the change of capacity within the community. Second, it was understood that cultural activities played a major role in strengthening community consciousness and community capacity, and could be understood as various creative activities. Based on the ecological approach study on culture-based community, this study derived the policy execution analysis model, analyzed the case of culture-based village community, presented the direction of development of community and presented practical implications.

This study was to investigate if there are any segmented groups of residents' attitude toward tourism development and also to examin if there are significant differences among such segmented groups in terms of community spirits and touridms development supports. From the literature review, the survey questionaries was developed and a total of 358 useful sample were collected and analyzed in SPSS. The results from cluster and MANOVA showed that there are some significant differences among the segmented groups. the higher residents have positive attitude toward tourism development the stronger residents have community spirits and tourism development support, More insight implication and discussion was provide in conclusion.

Many areas are on the verge of disappearing soon due to low birth rates and an increasing number of elderly people. To overcome this crisis, efforts must be made to escape the destruction of the area through the village community. This study was conducted to find out the use of online platforms for village communities and through literature research, current status surveys, and surveys, we wanted to find out how online platforms are being utilized. The study results are summarized as follows. First, urban renewal support projects are currently being conducted under the government-led initiative to revitalize the village community, and online platforms are being used mainly by local governments' urban renewal support centers. Second, if you look at the frequency of online platform usage by ordinary people, you are using Naver the most in all age groups, and next, you are using the website. People in their 20s and 30s use Instagram more than Facebook, while those in their 40s and 50s use Facebook more than Instagram. In utilizing the online platform for the village community, the status and frequency of use of the online platform should be taken into account comprehensively.

This study aims to examine the experiences and significance of a mother's learning community, which is a voluntary small get together of mothers who have infants and young children. For this, a participatory observation and in-depth interview were carried out from June 2012 to January 2013 targeting eight mothers who participated in the mothers' learning community. The mother's learning community is organized by mothers who mainly live and raise young children in P city. First, the mother's learning community gave three kinds of experience to mothers: finding ways of communication through the new meetings, a feeling of fulfillment through voluntary participation, and enjoying the pleasure of being recognized from other people. Second, the significance in this experience could be observed to allow children to have the pleasure of rapport with their mothers, to make more conversation at home, and to allow the community to have significance as network of life. The results of this study will be used as basic data in the mother's learning community in the near future, and for casting a lime light for follow-up research.

This study aims to analyse the relationship between the sense of community and resident online participation. To solve a variety of social problems in localities, both resident participation and the sense of community have been getting more important. Online voting is a project that is being implemented by the city of Seoul to expand the participation of residents. We surveyed residents living in the apartment complex in Seoul that was participating in with the pilot program for online voting. The empirical analysis shows the sense of community was, indeed, positively related to resident online participation. In particular, shared emotional connection, a component of the sense of community, was the most important factor for the resident online participation.

The purpose of this study was to analyze direct and indirect effects that depression of adolescents have on their life satisfaction through mediating variable called sense of community. To collect data, a survey was administered to 371 adolescents participating in volunteer activity at Youth Training Center located in C province. Data collected were analyzed for mediating effect, using structural equation model. The results showed that sense of community not only directly affect life satisfaction of the adolescents, but also work as a significant mediating variable between depression and life satisfaction. In other words, sense of community was found to reduce the negative impact of depression on life satisfaction. Based on these findings the ways of developing effective measures to promote the sense of community of young adolescents in educational field was discussed, such as developing various experience-activity programs and providing an institutional strategy which support such activity programs.
