The Conceptual Study of Knowledge Adoption based on Resource and Institutionalization Theory for Organizational Knowledge Creation Applied to Knowledge Management Systems (지식 원천 이론과 제도적 이론 관점에서 조직의 지식 수용과 창출에 관한 개념적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study are as follows : First, This study conceptually provide an insight of reasons that organizations seek to create, acquire, store and distribute knowledge at the level of an organization and of process how they can transform or evolve to knowledge based organizations. Second, this study confirms examine what theories can be used to knowledge management, how such theories can be useful to analyse knowledge management and provide a theoretical foundation for knowledge management research. Applied to the theories of knowledge based and resource based view and institutional theory, the essence of knowledge management confirms that the organization finds job-related knowledge and know-how retained by individual of organizational members systematically and shares common knowledge within the organization and explains knowledge creation, multi-dimensional knowledge transition and share in all dimension of individual, group, and organization. As a result of comparative analysis of theory of organizational knowledge creation theory, In knowledge management, building of knowledge-creative culture, transitional process of explicit knowledge and tacit knowledge, knowledge creation and knowledge operation are important. In the basis on these study results, we discussed how the organizational knowledge creation theory can be used to manage knowledge in the organization, and also proposed hypotheses based on some arguments against the universal acceptance of the theory.

  • The purposes of this study are to examine the influences of appraisal and reward on the activities of knowledge management and to search the strategies for effective appraisal and reward system to activate the knowledge management. The results of covariance structural analyses indicate that appraisal has a significant direct effect on reward and knowledge creation as well as a significant indirect effect on knowledge sharing via reward and knowledge creation. Reward has a significant direct influence on knowledge sharing. Knowledge creation also significantly affects knowledge sharing. Based on the results, the potential implications of effective appraisal and reward system to activate the knowledge management are discussed.

  • As the importance of knowledge is emphasized and the environment of battlefields is changing, the military also demands competent people equipped with creativity, cooperativeness and communication ability, and in this situation it is required to apply PBL to education in the navy. The present study went through three stages in order to develop a prototype to implement a naval e PBL support system for knowledge creation. First, databases in Korea Education and Research Information Service, National Assembly Library, etc. were searched using keywords such as PBL, e-PBL, knowledge creation and knowledge ecosystem. In addition, we selected and analyzed frequently quoted literature and recent research reports related to this study among domestic and foreign theses, books, research papers, etc. recommended by specialists in contents, and derived the key values of a knowledge creation type e-PBL support system and design strategies. Second, we developed a primary prototype based on the contents of analysis and, revising it according to teaching design specialists' opinions, we proposed the final prototype of knowledge creation type naval e PBL support system and it has values as follows. First, the knowledge creation type naval e PBL support system provides learners with opportunities to apply e PBL and helps them improve their creativity, cooperativeness and communication ability and accumulate know how of services. Second, it improves work efficiency by circulating knowledge through sharing among individuals or groups, and produces synergy that promotes the organizational culture of learning. Third, the knowledge creation type naval e-PBL support system enables teachers who apply PBL to school education to find new applications of PBL in constructing knowledge bases.

  • Korea has started new value creation which is the post catch-up innovation system from the catch-up innovation. Post catch-up innovation system is becoming the main R&D issue for Korea and is needed for the new concept of R&D management and planning frame. This study posed questionnaires : how to promote the knowledge creation in technology planning and what the role of organizational learning in the technology planning is. This paper suggests the relationship of success factors of knowledge creation in technology planning which is organized and operated by experts with different background. Based on the prior research on organizational learning, communications and collaborative interactions, four hypotheses that factors of knowledge creation in technology planning have positive relationship with organizational learning are extracted. This study adopts Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) to analyze the relationship between organizational learning and successful technology planning. The approach based on organizational learning and interaction will be useful for constructing the planning framework in the era of post catch-up innovation. This paper, therefore, suggests the possibility of new theoretical development and new research agenda.

  • 본 연구는 정보를 자원으로 지식사회에 있어 사용자들이 필요로 하는 지식 데이터베이스 모델링 기법에 대한 설계 및 구축에 대한 연구를 실시 하였다. 기존의 Key-word검색을 통한 나열식 정보 서비스 관점에서 벗어나, 디지털 정보들의 속성을 분해, 연계, 창출하는 3단계 Framework을 통해 지식 데이터베이스를 구축하는 과정과 활용에 대한 Case Study를 통해 지식 데이터베이스를 활용방안을 제시하고 있다. 지식 데이터베이스를 통해 기존의 데이터베이스모델링 패러다임에서 벗어나 사용자에게는 지식탐험의 즐거움과 서비스 및 지식제공자 들에게는 새로운 수익창출의 기회를 제시해 주고 있다.

  • 정보생산을 촉진하는 새로운 형태의 사이버공간이 나타나면서 지식의 창출과 지식을 얻는 형태가 변화하고 있다. 최종사용자에게 웹 애플리케이션을 제공하는 컴퓨팅 플랫폼인 web 2.0의 도입으로 손쉽게 자신이 필요한 정보를 분류할 수 있는 웹 컨텐츠가 활발히 제공되고 있으며 제공된 컨텐츠를 활용하여 수많은 정보 속에서 자신만의 보석을 찾아 손쉽게 지식을 쌓아 관리를 하고 있다. 이러한 지식공유서비스는 무분별한 정보, 중복된 지식, 그리고 단순한 관리로 인해 자신이 원하는 지식을 얻기란 쉽지 않은 것이 사실이다. 본 논문에서는 온라인상의 정보를 탐색하기 위해서 인터넷을 이용하던 네티즌들이 정보생산자로서 참여하는 공간으로 등장한 '지식공유서비스'를 기반으로 지식 창출 및 관리자로서 시니어를 활용하여 지식의 수용자로서 유아들을 위한 NIE (News In Education) 활용 교육 체계를 제안한다. 뉴스는 유아부터 성인까지 활용될 수 있는 좋은 교육 자료로서 NIE를 통하여 사고력, 논리력, 표현력, 창의력 등 여러 영역에 걸친 능력을 향상시킬 수 있다. 특히 유치원이나 학교의 교과과정에 맞추어 이러한 능력들을 더욱 배가 시킬 수 있다는 점에서 NIE가 더욱 각광받고 있다. 본 연구는 미디어 융합의 결과로 인터넷 뉴스를 활용해 생활과 분리되지 않은 통합교육을 할 수 있는 SCORM 기반의 유아용 콘텐츠를 생성하여 유아 교육에 활용하고자 한다. 또한, 유아용 NIE 교육 콘텐츠는 시니어들을 NIE 강사로 양성하였을 때 학습 자료로도 활용된다. 시니어들을 NIE 강사로 양성함으로써 시니어의 일자리 창출 및 지역사회 통합과 1세대인 여성시니어와 3세대인 아동 간의 세대통합을 이끌어 낼 수 있도록 하는 것에 목적을 두고 시니어 NIE 콘텐츠를 생성하고자 한다. NIE에 생성되는 지식을 생성하고 관리하기 위한 지식 솔루션으로 위키의 기능을 추가하여 개발하고자 한다. 위키를 사용하므로 개별적으로 존재하던 지식을 공동의 지식으로 공유할 수 있으며 의견을 하나로 통합하는 과정에서도 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것이다. 위키를 이용한 시니어 NIE 콘텐츠에서는 교수 학습 계획안 및 NIE 아이디어를 공동 작업을 통하여 효율적으로 지식을 생성할 수 있으며 여러 사람들이 여러 단계를 거치면서 하나의 정제된 지식을 생성하게 되므로 양질의 교수 학습 계획안이나 NIE 아이디어를 창출할 수 있을 것이다.

Strategic Important and Excellent Factors for Global Firms' Center of Excellence (글로벌기업 초우량센터의 전략적 중요요인과 초우량요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzed the sufficient conditions for Korean firm's foreign subsidiaries in order to evolve into a center of excellence for knowledge creation and diffusion. In this respect, the purpose of this study is to develop a new framework based on literatures related to subsidiary knowledge creation and a center of excellence. Specifically, we created seven decisive factors for subsidiary knowledge creation: two general factors, two strategic important factors, and three excellent factors. Each factor can be a necessary condition or sufficient condition according to research purpose. For example, the decentralized organizational structure belonging to general factors become a sufficient factor for facilitating subsidiary's knowledge creation but it become a necessary condition for a center of excellence because all subsidiaries with decentralized organizational structure cannot be strategically important subsidiaries. By using seven decisive factors, this study examines the determinants' validity theoretically and practically.

  • The types of cartoon market are classified with publishing cartoon(a cartoon magazine & comics) and webtoon. The revitalization of the cartoon market makes cartoonist create many cartoons. By studying many methods for the revitalization of the cartoon market, this paper argues the expanded methods of comics market which is a sort of publishing cartoon market. The expanded methods of comics market are two kinds, one is the revitalization of the comics market and the other is the creation of the comics market. This paper focuses on Genre-mixed Knowledge-Cartoon in order to extend the cartoon market. Also, After studying the Creation Proceed of cartoon market through Genre-mixed Knowledge-Cartoon, we would like to develope the New Creation Model of Cartoon Market. We selected three case(the Real Estate Agency expressed as Cartoon, Let's find an answer in sided figure blank, miraculous English grammar) for this study. With this, we analyzed the case that the matters for analysis is the essential particulars of plan-publishing-distribution's proceed. As a result, we found out the possibility of new cartoon market's creation through Genre-mixed Knowledge-Cartoon. For that reason, we was able to develop 'the New Creation Model of Cartoon Market through Genre-mixed Knowledge-Cartoon'. This paper provides the possibility about the New Creation Model of Cartoon Market through Genre-mixed Knowledge-Cartoon. With this, we will make many plans for creation of Genre-mixed Knowledge-Cartoons. Therefore, This plans will help cartoonists to create the Genre-mixed cartoons.

Effects of Knowledge-based Startups on Employment Growth (지식기반산업 창업기업의 고용창출 효과)

  • As unemployment rises and economic growth slows, interest in startups, which is considered to be the driving force of job creation, is increasing. This study aimed to analyze the employment effects of knowledge-based startups in South Korea. In particular, startups were divided into three categories (knowledge-based manufacturing, knowledge-based service, and other industries) and the region were divided into the capital region and the other regions. The result of the analysis, which used census on Establishments Data from Statistics Korea(KOSIS), showed that the employment effects of startups change in three steps over time. When new firms were created, employment increases instantly. However, as the competition among firms increases, some firms exit the market and employment decreases. In the long-term, some firms will survive the market competition and increase their firm size and the number of jobs they offer. The total employment effect was greater for knowledge-based startups than the other industries startups. The total employment effect of knowledge-based startups are 2.84%p for the period of 6 years. Startups in the Capital region showed higher employment effect than startups in other regions. This implies that in the capital region, employment increases more after the startups are created, but due to fierce competition, employment also decreases relatively more than it does in other regions. However, companies that survive competition create more employment. This study may give some policy implications that startup policies should be tailored to the startup's type and regional characteristics in order to achieve more effective job creation performance.
