Approaching the Knowledge Management as an Information System Researcher (지식경영 연구를 위한 정보시스템적 접근법)

  • 본 논문에서는 정보시스템 연구를 활용하여 지식경영의 연구에 도움이 되는 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 최근의 정보시스템 및 네트워크의 기술발전이 조직과 업무에 영향을 미치면서 새로운 환경에 맞는 패러다임 또는 프레임워크를 통한 큰 변화가 필요하게 되었다. 그리고 한편으로는 기존의 정녈시스템의 연구를 지식경영의 문제로 접근하기 위한 이론적 기초를 세워야 할 필요성이 제기되었다. 특히 실무에 도움이 되는 이론적 기초는 지식경영의 분야에서 더욱 요구되고 있다 이것은 지식이 이전의 것을 기초로 하지 못할 경우에 성과를 보장할 수 없는 재생산 또는 누적성의 특징을 갖기 때문이다. 정보시스템에서 사용되는 기본사고는 프로세스적 접근이다. 그리고 정보처리의 개념은 단순성과 명확성을 기초로 하였다. 프로세스적 접근을 통한 전통적 적용이 효율성 지향이었지만 지식 또는 지식경영에 있어서는 창의성 및 혁신성의 문제를 다룰 수 있어야 한다. 정보시스템적 사고는 지식경영의 프로세스적 측면을 연구하는데 기여할 수 있다.

  • Proportion and importance of knowledge & information provision through the web are increased continuously. Equivalent accessibility focused on universal service is highly demanded especially for public institutions, such as national libraries. In this study, web accessibility of sixteen national libraries were compared and analyzed by KADO-WAH, web accessibility tool. Characteristics of libraries were investigated and future directions were suggested based on the analysis and results.

  • 정보화 사회의 모토가 생산성 향상과 자원의 효율적 활용이라면, 최근 유행처럼 사용하는 "지식 사회"라는 용어의 본직은 새로운 가치창조라고 말할 수 있다. 지식은 다른 지식과 결합될 때 그 가치가 더욱 증가된다. 누구나 쉽게 지식을 제공하고, 또한 편리하게 접근할 수 있는 인터넷의 가상공간은 이러한 지식 결합을 위한 최적의 기반이다. 본고에서는 인터넷상에 산재되어 있는 정보통신 전문분야의 정보자원을 체계적이고 효과적으로 관리하며, 이용자들이 원하는 정보통신 전문 분야의 인터넷 정보 자원에 효과적으로 접근할 수 있게 하는 전문검색 사이트인 정보통신 메타데이터베이스 시스템의 개발에 대하여 소개하고자 한다.

  • KMS에서 지식전달 및 지식공유를 위한 커뮤니케이션 도구는 필수적인 요소지만 현재 국내 KMS에서 채택하고 있는 비실시간, 혹은 문자 중심의 커뮤니케이션 도구로는 지식전달 및 공유를 위한 조직원간의 커뮤니케이션 활성화가 불가능하다. 본 연구에서는 KMS의 커뮤니케이션 활성화를 위한 실시간 멀티미디어 인스턴트 메신저의 역할을 제시하였다. 제시된 KMS용 실시간 멀티미디어 시스템은 화상/음성통신, 문자/그래픽통신, 화이트보드통신, 화면공유, 그리고 에스코티드 브라우징과 같은 다양한 커뮤니케이션 방법을 제공하기 때문에 조직원간의 지식공유/전달, 공동작업, 그리고 사용자 편리성 및 접근성을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.   • In this study, we aim to comprehensively examine how court libraries can enhance their function and role as a hub for judicial information sharing. To achieve this, the current status was holistically understood based on literature review, case studies, interviews with stakeholders, and surveys targeted at users. The study sought to explore and present ways in which court libraries can play a central role in the dissemination and sharing of legal knowledge. As a result of the research, we propose four roles of the judicial information sharing complex center as a court library, five functions of the judicial information sharing complex center, and nine strategies to enhance accessibility for the spread of legal culture. If court libraries function as next-generation shared complex centers with the goal of popularizing legal knowledge culture, it would be possible to expand access to legal knowledge for citizens interested in law and culture, professionals in legal and educational institutions, and residents living near the center.

A Caching Mechanism for Knowledge Maps (지식 맵을 위한 캐슁 기법)

  • There has been many researches in TopicMap and RDF which are approach to handle data efficiently with metadata. However, No researches has been performed to service and implement except for presentation and description. In this paper, We suggest the caching mechanism to support an efficient access of knowledgemap and practical knowledgemap service with implementation of TopicMap system. First, We propose a method to navigate Knowledgemap efficiently that includes advantage of former methods. Then, To transmit TopicMap efficiently, We suggest caching mechanism for knowledgemap. This method is that user will be able to navigate knowledgemap efficiently in the viewpoint of human, not application. Therefor the mechanism doesn't cash topics by logical or physical locality but clustering by information and characteristic value of TopicMap. Lastly, we suggest replace mechanism by using graph structure of TopicMap for efficiency of transmission.

  • In an increasingly digital world, knowledge and information accessibility is becoming a key factor to personal, professional and national development. But only 5% of the world's publishing output is made accessible in alternative formats for people who cannot use print. People with disabilities say that the biggest barrier to access to the material they want or need to read is a lack of accessible information. This study aims to analyze the development policies(governance and role, funding and support, production and distribution system, etc.) of alternative formats for people with disabilities in major countries(Australia, Canada, Japan, Korea, Sweden, UK, and USA). And result of this preliminary study will be used as background information for development of the national plan and role model for production and distribution of the alternative formats in Korea.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the determinants of employees' knowledge contribution to 'Easysam', the Defense Knowledge Sharing System(DKSS), and provide managers and system designers with implications for enhancing the usage of the DKSS. Although the system seems to be helpful for employees to conduct their tasks by sharing and applying knowledge from the system, use of the system is confined to restricted employees and little empirical, systematic research has been done for this area. Therefore, using the motivation opportunity ability theory of behavior, this study hypothesizes that motivation factors(enjoy helping, reward confirmation), opportunity factor(system accessibility), and ability factor(self-rated expertise, tenure in the field) increase the level of employees' knowledge contribution to the DKSS. This research also includes hypotheses which address the effect of system use voluntariness, a moderator, on the relationship between predictors described above and knowledge provision. Survey results show that the effect of enjoy helping, reward confirmation, self-rated expertise and system accessibility is significant on employees knowledge provision. However, tenure in the field has no influence on its contribution of knowledge to the system. Theoretical and practical implications are provided.
