This paper analyzes the implementation of a Knowledge Management System, which helps an organization to share information. Beginning with an overview of the theoretical concepts and types of Knowledge Management System, this paper goes on to describe related information technologies in detail. This paper then proceeds to evaluate the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy's (KIEP) Research Management System as a model, analyzing the purpose, system framework and operation. This study then concludes that in general existing information technologies are sufficient for an organization to build an efficient Knowledge Management System. However, the majority of individuals are currently not fully aware of the importance of sharing individual knowledge and information throughout an organization. Until this reluctance and ignorance is overcome the process of expanding the Knowledge Management System will be a slow and arduous endeavor.

국방정보체계는 종류가 다양하고 대규모로 추진되기 때문에 소프트웨어 개발을 위한 사업관리에 어려움이 많이 따른다. 더구나, 현재 국방정보체계의 사업관리는 자동화시스템을 이용하여 체계적으로 실시하지 않고 수동으로 처리하기 때문에 많은 문제점이 야기되고 있고 현재의 소프트웨어 개발 표준인 ISO 12207을 수정 없이 그대로 대규모 실시간 국방정보체계의 소프트웨어 개발사업에 적용하는 것도 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 논문의 목적은 효율적인 국방정보체계 소프트웨어 개발 사업관리를 위해서 국방정보체계별로 적절한 개발 생명주기 모델을 선정하고, 각 단계별로 사업관리자가 수행할 태스크를 식별하는 등의 도메인 지식을 개발하여 궁극적으로 국방정보체계 사업관리용 전문가 시스템을 개발할 때 활용함과 동시에 국방정보체계 사업관리의 일환으로 최종 산출물에 대한 품질을 높일 수 있도록 체계적인 시험평가 방안에 대한 도메인 지식도 개발하여 사업관리용 전문가 시스템 구축 시에 활용하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해서 국방정보체계의 소프트웨어 개발 사업관리에 영향을 미치는 요소들을 식별하고 이를 이용하여 국방정보체계 소프트웨어 개발 사업관리를 위한 전문가 시스템을 구축할 수 있도록 생명주기 모델 선정을 위한 도메인 지식, 생명주기 각 단계별 세부활동을 위한 도메인 지식, 시험평가 방안선정을 위한 도메인 지식을 개발하여 제시하였다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 도메인 지식을 전문가 시스템 개발도구에서 지원되는 각종 에디터에 사용되는 형태나 IF A, THEN B 형태로 개발하지 않고 사업관리용 전문가 시스템의 지식베이스에 포함될 지식들을 식별하는 것을 중심으로 개발하였다. 즉, 본 논문에서는 국방정보체계 사업관리용 전문가 시스템 개발의 필요성과 가능성을 검증하는 용역연구과제로써 프로토타입 혹을 완벽한 사업관리용 전문가 시스템을 개발한 것이 아니며, 전문가 시스템 개발 시 가장 어렵고 중요한 지식베이스 모듈속에 포함될 도메인 지식을 개발하는 것이 이 연구의 목적이다. 이러한 연구는 궁극적으로는 이러한 도메인 지식이 국방정보체계의 사업관리를 위한 전문가 시스템의 지식베이스 모듈 구축 시 기초/기반 및 핵심 지식으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

다가오는 미래는 지식 경쟁에서 살아 남는 국가, 사회, 개인만이 존재하는 지식사회라고 한다. 인류문화의 보고라는 도서관도 예외일 수 없다. 기존의 도서관 시스템으로는 새로운 경쟁사회, 즉 지식사회에서 제 역할을 찾을 수 없다. 따라서. 지식과 정보를 직접 이용자에게 제공하는 정보공유의 시스템으로 전환되어야 한다. 사서들의 경험에 의한 Know-how를 아웃풋하여 새로운 지식을 창조함으로써 업무의 효율성과 양질의 지식정보를 서비스 받을 수 있는 지식관리시스템을 구현해야 한다. 본 글에서는 현 도서관 시스템의 문제점을 파악하고 바람직한 지식관리스템의 새로운 모형을 구축한다.

This article surveyed the current situation of domestic R&D information system and investigated the possibility of knowledge-transformation for KMS. Four major requirements of the transformation were analyzed by applying evaluation index tool which was integrated and refined from the existed indices. and a process-oriented project approach was suggested with some practical implications for development of KMS.

정보근로자는 지식 중심의 사회에서 지식을 창출하고 소비하는 핵심적인 역할을 하고 있다. 따라서 지식관리 과정은 정보근로자의 업무패턴을 반영해야 한다. 또한 지식관리 도구는 수;q고 효과적으로 지식을 생성, 통합, 전파 할 수 있도록 지원해야 한다. 그러나 대부분의 지식관리 시스템은 정보근로자를 시스템의 기능으로 다루고 있기 때문에 정보근로자의 업무패턴과 요구사항을 반영하는데 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 정보근로자의 지식관리를 위해 요구되는 협업 정보교환, 정보접근의 중요성을 설명하며, 사회적 소프트웨어 기반의 지식관리 프로세스와 지식 변환 과정을 살펴본다.

전문가시스템의 개발과정에서 가장 힘들고 많은 시간과 비용을 필요로 하는 단계는 전문가가 소유하고 있는 지식을 구조화하여 시스템에 이식하는 이른바 지식공학 과정이다.[1] 이러한 사정은 체력관리전문가시스템의 경우도 예외일 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 체력관리전문가시스템이 갖는 지식의 구조적인 특성을 파악한 후, 이 특성을 이용하여, 전문가시스템이나 지식공학에 관한 지식이나 경험이 없는 체력관리자들이 지식의 구축, 테스트, 수정을 어렵지 않게 수행할 수 있도록 하는 지식관리시스템을 개발하였다.

지식관리시스템은 2000년까지 2억명 이상의 화이트컬러 및 근로자들에 의해 사용되어 질 것이라 전망되고 있으며 기업들은 성공적인 지식관리시스템 구축에 심혈을 기울이고 있다. 많은 사례들에 볼 수 있듯이 지식관리시스템은 단순히 정보기술에 집중한 시스템이 아니다. 하지만 이 글에서는 지식관리시스템에서 중요한 역할을 담당하는 정보기술 요소에 대해 살펴본다.

Consumer health information is receiving more attention than ever before. This growing attention can be linked to the Internet and to people seeking more information on health topics. The purpose of this study is to suggest a design of the Knowledge management system for medical information services in a public library. As theoretical backgrounds, it discusses the issues regarding to the medical information services in a public library, knowledge management and knowledge management system. After that, 12 medical information sites are analyzed then the planning and the main menu of a medical information site for a public library are described. Finally, the model of the knowledge management system for a public library with 5 sub-systems are suggested: 1) knowledge creation system, 2) technology support system, 3) training system, 4) community service system, 5) knowledge sharing and network system. This system based on knowledge management will help provide the users high quality of medical information.

본 논문에서는 지식에 대한 개념을 정의하기 보다 지식의 life-cycle을 통한 지식의 생성과 소멸을 모델화함으로 시식을 설명하려 한다. 본 논문은 노나카의 지식 창조 모델을 기반으로 하고 기존의 KMS들을 분석하여 일반적인 지식 life-cycle 모델을 도출하였으며, 기존 모델의 문제점을 보완하여 새로운 지식 life-cycle 모델을 만들었다. 이 모델과 앞으로의 지식관리 시스템 발전 방향을 고려하여 지식 관리 시스템 아키텍쳐를 제시하였다. 본 논문에서는 이 아키텍쳐를 근거로 지식 관리 시스템을 구현하기 위한 6개의 컴포넌트를 도출하였다. 6개의 컴포넌트는 지식 생성, 지식 분배, 지식 측정, 지식 연결, 지식 검색, 지식 저장이다. 이 컴포넌트들로 지식 관리 시스템의 prototype을 구현해 본 결과 지식 life-cycle을 단계적, 부분적으로 지원하지만 부족한 부분이 있는 것을 발견하였다. 향후에는 지식 생성과 지식 연결 컴포넌트를 강화하여 전체적인 지식 life-cycle을 지원할 예정이다.

An interface or integration among various information system is needed to construct knowledge management infrastructure. Particularly, digital library and knowledge management system have to be implemented in the view of integration for activating interaction of organizational knowledge. So this study conducts comparative analysis between two systems in the perspective of knowledge management key factors, and then explores the ways toward an integration model. The integration model is designed for activating user interface and consistent flow of knowledge. This model is expected to contribute to increase the performance of knowledge management.
