  • To answer whether it is proper to adopt wetland education as a part of the formal school curriculum, this study analyzed research trends and topics on wetland education and identified cases of adopting wetland education as a part of the formal school curriculum. Analyzing trends and topics on wetlands resulted in a recent shift of the focus of wetland education from the awareness and attitude towards wetlands to the ecological functions and ecosystem services that wetlands provide. In 2002, 18 Contracting Parties of the Ramsar Convention had adopted wetland education in the formal school curriculum. As of August 2020, the number has increased up to 42 countries. The globally increased awareness on the importance of wetlands seems to have led the positive change. Most of the cases analyzed and reflected in this study showed that the curricula were designed and applied not nationally but locally or school basis for efficiency.

  • This paper aims to investigate the characteristics of innovation activities and informal networks of venture companies in Daegu region. The most important knowledge source of them for innovation is in house. The next are customers, competitors, and public supporters. And it was investigated that regional venture companies have participated in 1-5 informal network organizations. They primarily achieve such knowledges as, technologies, new business opportunities, and marketing information, through participation in informal networks. The reasons why they have taken part in informal networks are to get new informations and acquire new business opportunities. Particularly The informal networks between ventures companies and other regional economic actors have helped the regional venture companies to obtain more economic performance and to establish social capital, such as faith, with other economic actors.

  • In this study, biodiversity was classified as 4 sectors (genes, species, ecosystems, and cultures) and overall 14 indicators were subdivided by the classification criterion of 4 sectors. Among those 14 indicators, monetary evaluation was conducted for 11 indicators that can be quantified in economic perspectives. Results show that negative economy effects (forest degradation, forest fire, forest damage caused by diseases and insects, deforestation, and cost under the assumption with the adoption of the Nagoya Protocol to be compensated for traditional knowledge) by reducing forest biodiversity were evaluated as 254.5 billion won annually. Also, Bioindustry, indigenous species, forest production, protection area, and income associated with mountain village were considered as positive economy effects and their annual economic value was 6.72 trillion won. Net annual benefit by maintaining forest biodiversity was about 6.5 trillion won.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore a support model for domestic ICT companies to advance into overseas markets suitable for the post-corona era along with the rapidly changing global economic situation. As a result of the analysis, first, by analyzing the internationalization cases of domestic ICT companies through the realization theory, in the COVID-19 situation, domestic ICT companies organically respond to crisis situations through ad hoc responses, use of international networks, use of external organizations, and resource-based practices. Through qualitative analysis, we were able to confirm that we are growing overseas while achieving our goals. In addition, strategies for domestic ICT companies to grow through internationalization were derived. Ultimately, it was interpreted as a part that required advancement of government policy according to the government's overseas expansion support system.

Direction of Designer-makers Business Activation through Strategic Design Support Policy-Focusing on 'Young man's Creative Work & Startup Support Project' (전략적 디자인 지원정책을 통한 디자이너-메이커스 비즈니스 활성화 방향 -청년 창의인력 취·창업지원사업을 중심으로-)

  • This study discusses the core contents and implications of the design support policy of government in the creation of the designer-makers' business ecosystem through the analysis of 'Young man's Creative Work & Startup Support Project'. This case, which aims to cultivate a design brand based on maker technology and to create jobs for young people, suggests the role of government as a creative culture creator so that designer-makers are able to create creative activities in a more free and creative atmosphere. Furthermore, this study emphasizes the importance of efficient integration and reorganization of similar maker support policies implemented by each government department, the necessity of a roadmap for realizing this, and the support for quality improvement. As a result, the design support policy of government for the designer-makers' business activation should evolve into the qualitative development of intellectual property based on a mature shared culture and the discovery of a new production paradigm model of the manufacturing industry based on the open manufacturers beyond the economic and numerical goals of creating new jobs.

  • The 4th industrial revolution has made our life convenient, and the development of new technologies has brought affluent life. Considering that the 4th industrial revolution is a next-generation industrial revolution led by robot technology, life science, and artificial intelligence, the need for convergence research in sports field stimulated the continuous efforts for the academic foundation of sports. Recently, as interest in home training has increased due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pilates has also attracted much attentions demand for related supplies has increased. This is an demonstration that COVID-19 has had an impact on the sports industry ecosystem. The purpose of this study was, accordingly, to identify current trends through accurate patent information related to Pilates and to provide basic data for future studies on sports convergence industry and sports intellectual property. For the purpose, based on the data from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2021 provided by KIPRIS (www.kipris.or.kr), the patent information search service provided by the Korean Intellectual Property Office, patent status analysis, international patent classification (IPC) patent analysis, and detailed patent analysis by classification were performed.

  • Convergence of ICT technology and various industry have been proliferated. It makes human life affluent pulling existing industry paradigm down while they do not realize. Also, it impacts on personal life and becomes a driving force which strengthen the state level and its competitiveness. Complexity is increasing, knowledge is expanding and ICT technology is evolving in the present industrial society. Thus, new business model is being created, established business without competitiveness is eliminated and new ecosystem is constructed for industry change or creation. The new business and its competitive order driving in current convergence environment is apt to be exposed to uncertainty risk. These changes promote the collapse of existing industry or create new business models. There are digital transformation and ICT convergence in the center of the changes. The change of society and industry caused by this phenomenon will be analyzed. Also, development direction, strategy and execution method for securing industry competitiveness of ICT convergence will be researched.

  • In this paper, we identify the factors that hinder the application of quantum computing technology to solve meaningful real-world problems, and suggest related research trends and directions. To this end, we summarize the basic knowledge of quantum mechanics from the perspective of computer science, which is necessary to understand the difficulties in applying quantum computing technology, and analyze the currently commercialized quantum computers and quantum programming layers from the literature. Through an analysis of the current status and utilization of cloud-based commercial quantum computing services, we identify four factors that currently hinder the practical application of quantum computing: high barriers to entry for quantum computer programming, constraints on noisy intermediate-scale quantum computers, a still-growing open source ecosystem, and difficulties in simulating realistic problem sizes, and suggest trends and directions for related research. In doing so, it is expected to contribute to laying the groundwork for practical applications of quantum computing technology.
