Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify and profile distinct subgroups of patients with hypertension based on knowledge, attitudes, and behavior regarding their medication and health lifestyle. Method: A descriptive-exploratory research design was employed. Two hundred and twenty-three patients with hypertension using W Public Health Center were randomly recruited on the basis of being over 30 of age. Upon the receipt of their written consents, direct interview with a structured questionnaire were conducted by a public health nurse. Descriptive statistics and $X^2-test$ were utilized. Results: Three subgroups were identified. Group I members had a low score on all three factors including knowledge, attitudes and behavior related to medication and health lifestyle. Group II members had a low score on one or two of the factors. Group III members had a high score on all three factors. The three subgroups were significantly associated with education level, economic status, non-smoking and non-drinking. Conclusions: Further research should be conducted to validate these findings and test tailored nursing intervention for patient compliance.

As the development of information telecommunication technology and thus the information sharing and opening is accelerated, If system is exposed to various threatener and the avrious security incident is rasing its head with social problem. As countermeasure, to protect safely and prepare in the attack for a system from a be latent security threat, various security systems are been using such as IDS, Firewall, VPN etc.. But, expertise or expert is required to handle security system. The module, implemented in this paper, is based on Windows XP, like Linux and Unix, and has effect integrity and non-repudiation for a file.

As the knowledge-based society progresses the amount of information increases tremendously and also the accessibility to information is much improved through the diffusion of internet and digitalized contents. At this juncture the systematic management and efficient analysis of immense information surfaces as a global issue. And the paradigm of information turns from the age of information access to the age of information analysis. So it is urgently required to analyze technology trend from technology information and to establish the way to realize a systematic method for information analysis. Accordingly in this study an information analysis system is developed that contributes to the decision of proper direction for R&D and technology development by rapidly and systematically analyzing search results from the technology databases online and can reduce to a great degree the shorts and time required to collect and analyze information.

Digital library in knowledge-information-based society of the 21st century should develop legally various digital information resources in order to provide information services to users. This study analyzes and examines in detail the related provisions of copyright law relating to the development of digital information resources(digitalized works, electronic books, electronic journals, electronic reserve materials etc.). This study also points out the problems of the current Copyright Act and proposed Copyright Act of Korea. And it suggests necessary measures and improved plans to promote the development of digital information resources.

Convergence is an important concept for driving our society to be ubiquitous. The objectives of this paper are to conceptualize information convergence, and to analyze its mechanisms from the view of ubiquitous library circumstances. The knowledge substitutes the traditional factors of production - land, labor, and capital - and has become one of the most important new resources. The Internet Knowledge Society is where the knowledge is the major source of development and competition. Now more than 350mi11ion computers are connected to internet servers and the internet users are more than 250mi11ion. The purpose of this paper is to propose some key factors for implementing the Police Knowledge Management System(PKMS) based on Intranet. With Information Technology(IT), the police administrative system will be much more efficient. Introducing the If into the system is critical for restructuring the police administrative system. This paper concludes as follows : ■ Knowledge is divided into tacit and explicit one. Knowledge process is divided into acquisition, accumulation, distribution and creation of knowledge. ■ The IntraNet is composed of Web server, FTP server, electric-mail server, and is constructed security system to safety. ■ All policemen are bound to serve as a new knowledge worker. ■ Police organization needs to operate data management system. The organization also needs to the Police Knowledge Management Center(PKMC). And the Police Chief Knowledge Officers(PCKO) needs to be appointed to manage the PKMC. ■ An information and knowledge infrastructure(various databases are the most important factor) should be established within the organization to promote the self-directed management, the interactive communication, and the learning ability of the members.

The purpose of this study is to suggest a model for increasing international use of Korean scholarly journals. Recently DOI and open access are remarkable from the standpoint of increasing the opportunity of global exposition and citation of domestic scholarly journal papers. The data used in investigation and analysis were from KAMJE, KISTI, DOAJ and SCIMAGO. The model comprising DOI service and open access is obtained through analyzing DOI and open access utilization models and investigation on both.

In this study, we proposed the FRAD concept model of authority data schema for author, organization and journal titles included in the academic papers. Academic information includes author names, affiliations, publishers, journals and conferences. They are used as access points, and there are multiple relationships among these entities. It is expected that the use of authority data for academic information based on FRAD conceptual model could improve more accurate retrieval of information, systematic management of academic information, and various forms of knowledge representation. In this study, our entity-relationship authority data will be linked to the document, and included the several properties and relationship to identify the object.

The purpose of this study is to establish the legal or institutional bases of academic libraries as the core facility which helps strengthen the capabilities of education and research by collecting, managing and providing knowledge resources for universities in Korea. The present 'Library Law' largely focuses on public libraries and the National Central Library, and deals with academic libraries, special libraries and school libraries in a very limited sense. Therefore, in this research the changes in the laws and regulations related to academic libraries are examined, and the process of proposing and legislating 'The Academic Library Promotion Act' is analyzed. Finally, how to proceed to actually legislate 'The Academic Library Promotion Act' is suggested.

This study aims to investigate the major causes of conflict between clients and vendors in the outsourced IS development. A research model is established based on the prior research of IS outsourcing, system development and conflict. An empirical study was executed using 214 survey questionnaire of project teams composed of client and vendor with PASW 18.0. Research results using multiple regressions show that contract specificity, requirements certainty, objective alignment and client knowledge have negative effects on conflict. This research results will provide various implications for outsourcing project success.
