This study was to examine the operation strategy of terrestrial broadcasting system on channel image and N-screen service. Nowadays, terrestrial broadcasting system provides video streaming service based on internet. In other words, terrestrial broadcasting system provides N-screen service through TV-PC-Smart phone-Tablet PC. But it is different for terrestrial broadcasting system to analysis the choice criterion of program. Only, channel image of terrestrial broadcasting system expanded into N-screen. Finally, channel image of terrestrial broadcasting system is the competition strategy. It is necessary for terrestrial broadcasting system to prepare the strategy of program choice for users, original contents, new platform and service in connection with N-screen.

2005년 지상파 DMB 서비스가 시작 된 이후 핸드폰, 전용단말기, PMP 등 DMB 단말기 수요가 폭발적으로 증가하면서 DMB서비스는 일상에서도 쉽게 접할 수 있는 아이템이 되었다. 사람들은 언제 어디서나 TV방송과 라디오 서비스를 받을 수 있게 되었다. 또한 최근 KBS, MBC, YTN, SBS등 DMB 방송을 활용한 TPEG 서비스가 시작되면서 DMB의 활용이 한층 증가되었으며 사람들의 관심도 증가되고 있다. 이에 본고에서는 지상파 DMB를 통하여 제공가능 한 데이터와 전송기술에 대하여 살펴본다. 또 이를 활용 한 서비스와 향후 시장동향에 대해 알아본다.

선진 각국의 지상파 디지털 방송 기술 개발 동향을 파악하고 미국, 영국, 일본, 독일 호주 등 주요 국가별로 대표방송사를 선정하여 재무제표 자료를 토대로 투자 및 운영효율성에 대한 정량적 분석을 수행하고 DEA(Data Envelope Analysis)모형을 이용하여 각국의 경쟁력을 비교 분석한다. 분석 결과를 우리나라의 방송 3사(KBS, MBC, SBS)의 상황과 비교 분석함으로써 국내 디지털 지상파 방송이 경쟁력을 갖추기 위한 조건을 제시하고자 한다.

최근 지상파 UHD 방송에서는 자막을 비디오 패킷에 삽입하여 전달하는 기존 방식이 아닌 별도의 전송로로 전달하는 폐쇄형 자막(closed caption) 방식을 적용하고 있다. 또한 자막에는 문자 뿐만 아니라 이미지까지 포함하여 청각장애인의 프로그램 이해도를 높이는데 활용할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 청각장애 시청자가 방송 콘텐츠 내용의 이해도를 향상시키기 위하여 지상파 UHD 방송에서 기존의 문자 자막과 움직이는 이미지 자막(=감정표현 자막)을 송출하여 동시에 표현할 수 있는 송출시스템을 제안한다.

초고속 통신망의 발전으로 인터넷을 통한 고화질 비디오 서비스가 가능하게 되었으며 이에 따라 스마트TV, IPTV 서비스와 같은 방통융합서비스가 대중화 되고 있다. 그리고 이러한 추세에 맞추어 방송 이외의 매체를 통한 비디오 콘텐츠 소비가 증가하고 있고, IT사업자들과 가전사들이 방송 플랫폼 사업에 진출하는 등 전통적인 방송 산업 구조에도 변화가 일어나고 있다. 이와 같은 환경 변화에 대응하기 위해 KBS 기술연구소는 지상파 방송 기반의 하이브리드 TV 서비스를 연구하고 있고, 이를 OHTV(Open Hybrid TV)라는 이름으로 국내의 다른 방송사들 및 가전사 등과 함께 표준화하고 있다. 안정적이고 효율적으로 대용량 비디오를 전송할 수 있는 방송망과 양방향 특성을 가진 통신망을 같이 활용하는 하이브리드 TV 환경에서는 양방향 방송 서비스를 보다 효율적으로 제공하는 것이 가능할 것으로 기대된다. 이를 통해 TV 시청자에게는 개인화된 형태의 새로운 방송 서비스를 제공하고, 방송사에게는 전통적인 사업모델을 탈피하여 새로운 비즈니스 모델을 찾을 수 있는 기회를 줄 수 있다. 이미 유사한 개념의 서비스들이 국내외에서 다양하게 시도되고 있으며 본 논문에서는 OHTV 서비스 시나리오 및 요소기술과 이를 구현한 시스템을 소개한다.

Many communications and broadcast media have emerged by the rapid development of wireless communication and broadcasting technologies, so the radio resources are insufficient for these services. DMB can use the regional integrated channel due to the SFN broadcasting network, so DMB uses the frequency efficiently. However, the domestic DMB uses the existing analog TV frequency band and uses a plurality of channels in some areas because of the interference with the analog TV. However, the broadcasting of the analog TV was terminated, so the channel reallocation of the terrestial DMB is necessary for the efficient use of frequencies. This paper proposes the channel reallocation method of the terrestial DMB and analyzes the change of transmission and reception environments by using simulations.

Characteristics of digital broadcasting are multi-channel, high-definition and multi-function. especially, multi-function is enable us to do a variety of services except for an image and a voice. This paper, therefore, is analyzed propagation environment in Busan into ETRI model application about 지상파 DMB service. It takes to be simulated in Busan area around the mountains area and high building. So it measures the electric field strength in standards. Distribution pattern are similar with mutually in the 이론 and real measurement. Even areas are almost the same, but urban areas and mountains are different with mutually. Therefore, we conclude that ETRI propagation model and theoretical modeling in a free space in Busan area is not suitable.

Changes in media technolgy affect the competitive status of broadcasting networks as news media. The competitive media environment has pushed broadcasting network news programs to find new ways for leveling their qualitative performance up and rating. This study focuses on the empirical relationship between the two key value, news quality in terms of fairness and in-depthness and news ratings. This study is based on the analysis of broadcasting network news texts and individual news item raitngs. Empirical relationship between news quality factors and ratings was proved positive. But the relationship between the length of news item and rating was proved negative.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the Munjeonsa(SPC) has influenced the way terrestrial broadcasting networks produce drama. The study has three research objectives. First, this study investigates why the networks use SPC for drama production. Second, the study examines the features in the process of the setup and operation of SPC. Third, the study identifies the impacts of SPC on networks' drama production. This study analyzes which was produced by KBS SPC. The results of this study are as follows. First, networks introduce SPC to procure an enormous production costs and to manage the production system transparently and efficiently. Second, the feature of networks' SPC(KGCS SPC) is that it has a unique dual structure with main and project SPC. Third, SPC influences drama production system in various ways; revitalization of external investment, accounting transparency, growing of network's planning dramas, securing intellectual properties and revenue diversification.
