  • Lipoblastoma is a rare benign mesenchymal tumor that occurs primarily in infancy and childhood. There are two types of lipoblastoma: focal or diffuse (lipoblastomatosis). This is typically located in the extremities, and less frequently in the trunk, head and neck, and the retroperitoneum. Lipoblastoma is a tumor with a good prognosis with no reported metastasis, despite of its potential for local invasion, local recurrence and rapid growth. Complete surgical resection is essential for treatment, and long term follow up is needed.

  • Endobronchial lipomas Are rare lesions that usually obstruct a major bronchus and cause irreversible pulmonAry damage distally. They are histologically benign tumors. But they can produce pulmonary damage or irreversible bronchiectasis if dignoses or tr atments are delayed. Whenever possible, the treatment of choice is resection by means of bronchoscopy. If endoscopic removal is not possible or lf the nature of the tumor is unclear, surgery is necessary. with lobectomy or pneumonectomy being required in most cases due to the extensively damaged pulmonary parenchyma . We present a case of endobronchial lipoma causing bronchial obstruction and peripheral organizing pneumonia with its clinical features. diagnosis find treatment methods.

  • Parosteal lipoma is a rare kind of lipoma that occurring adipous tissue around the periosteum. It has been reported most commonly in the femur, the radius, the tibia and the fibular. Treatment consists of resecting the lipomatous tumor with further exeresis of the bone and periosteal excrescence in cases with hyperostosis. The authors report a rare case of parosteal lipoma occurring at the medial portion of the femur shaft with a review of the relevant literatures.

  • Mediastinal lipoblastoma is a rare benign tumor originating from embryonic lipid cells and it almost always occurs during infanthood or early childhood. It is a tumor with a good prognosis despite its potential for local invasion and rapid growth. We report here on a three years old girl who was treated for a benign lipoblastoma in the anterior mediastinum. CT scanning showed a fat containing mass without internal calcification or fluid component, and the mass showed a compressive effect on the adjacent structures. The mass was located between the pericardium and right mediastinal pleura and it was removed completely without complication. Pathologic examination revealed a benign lipoblastoma. The patient showed no evidence of recurrence at the time of the report.

  • Toxohormone-L (THL) elicited fatty acid release from rat epididymal adipose tissue, which is present in cancerous ascites fluids. In this study, the effect of ginseng powder on lipolysis induced by Toxohormane-L, and ACTH was studied. Korean ginseng selectively inhibited Toxohormone-L induced lipolysis, but did not inhibit ACTH-induced lipolysis.

  • Lipoma is a benign tumor composed of mature adipocytes and the most common soft tissue mesenchymal neoplasm but relatively rare in the oral cavity. Lipoma of the tongue is uncommon and especially multiple lipomas are quite rare and only several cases of those were reported. We describe an unusual case of multiple lipomas of the tongue.

  • Angiomyxolipoma is a rare variant of lipoma, which is described by Mai, 1996, at first. The nine cases of which have been reported to date. Microscopically, the lesion consists of adipose tissue with the paucicellular myxoid areas and fat tissue with numerous thin, dilated, and congestive blood vessels. The reported cases mostly located to the superficial layer on the scalp, subungual, extremities in adults. We report one case of angiomyxolipoma located in the submuscular and parosteal area in the distal femur around knee joint in a child.
