  • The forest fire covered with forest gets increasing year after year in Korea. Furthermore the scale becomes larger. A forest fire problem is extremely serious. In this situation this study discussed a forest fire prevention with scientific and systematic method. Various information was created using GIS for Mt. Uam, which is located in Uam, Cheongju city. The predictive model to enhance effective forest fire management was developed.

  • 우리나라의 GIS 구축을 육상과 해상으로 나누어 볼 때 육상부분은 국가지리정보체계사업에 의해 대도심지 중심으로 거의 구축이 완료된 상태이다. 그리나, 해상부분에 있어서의 GIS 구축은 해양수산부가 중심이 되어 구축중이나 아직 지리정보와 속성정보의 정의와 초기구축단계에 있는 실정이다. 지리정보체계는 보다 효율적인 활용방안을 위해 GPS와 연결되어 항법 및 위치추적시스템과 연결되어 그 파급효과를 극대화시키는 연구가 많이 이루어지고 있다. GPS는 정확도면을 기준으로 볼 때 항법용과 정밀측량용으로 나누어진다. 현재는 GPS 기술이 상당히 발전하여 저가격의 정밀측량용 GPS 장비가 소개되고 있지만, 아직은 그 비용면에서 사용자가 원하는 정도의 저가격은 되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서, 자동차나 선박항해를 위해 사장되는 GPS 장비는 저가격의 항법용 GPS 장비가 현재 많이 사용되고 있다. 본 연구는 항법용의 저가격의 GPS 장비를 이용하여 해양부분에 있어서 정밀 선박항법 및 위치추적시스템으로 활용하기 위해 측지학적인 좌표해석을 기본으로 한 선박항법시스템을 구축하는 것이다. 또한, 본 연구를 통하여 각자의 선박항법과 더불어 관리국에서 많은 선박을 관리하기 위한 인터넷 GIS 구축에 대한 필요성을 게시하고자 한다.

  • This study has shown that geography teachers need the professionalism in a Teaching and learning aspect. Together with the transition of epistemology and the operation of the Subject Matter-based curriculum, etc the demand for professionalism of teachers is much higher than ever. But the less discussion about what the professionalism of geography teachers based on subject traits and its components are has been mentioned. Especially the previous studies related with geography teachers usually distinguished the contents from the methods in the geography teaching in a dichotomy and tried to apply to a class model in the theoretical aspects, so they $didn't^{\circ}{\varnothing}t$ present the enough measures to improve the professionalism of geography teachers in the synthetic aspects. In this study, after I found the components of professionalism required to geography teachers in a teaching and learning, I tried to present measures to improve the professionalism of geography leathers in the macroscopic aspects. The geography teacher should be a teacher to design a region as a process than a result, and a teacher as a reflective practitioner than a technical practitioner. The improvement of professionalism should be achieved through the process of cooperation with an educational reflection in the individual aspects.

  • This paper reviews geographical researches on developing countries and suggests relevant future topics. The German language region is especially chosen, because it has a lot of outcomes in the field of geographical researches on developing countries. This paper first reviews the history of geographical researches on developing countries, next analyze various trends of development strategies of developing countries and paradigms of development theories, and finally tries to describe research approaches, significant meanings of the research, and essential topics on the research. The aim of this paper is to verify the geography of developing countries as a practical academic field and to remind the importance of the geography of developing countries, which could contribute to social development and succeed the tradition of regional studies as globalization and international cooperation has continuously intensified.

  • This paper focuses on recontextualizing geography curriculum, i.e. examining recent changing aspects in three geography curriculum locators-society, student and discipline of geography-and searching future directions of geography curriculum in light of such changes. For conciliation and reflection of changing aspects of each locators, this paper dealt with social issues and societal changes in terms of locator of society, increased concern to student and development of cognitive science in terms of students, and challenging views on science and the meaning of epistemological changes in geography in terms of discipline. As a result, three future directions in geography curriculum are searched : issue-based geography curriculum, thinking geography curriculum, geography curriculum toward equity and accessbility.

  • 본 논문에서는 휴대폰에서 실시간으로 사용할 수 있는 GIS 기반의 약도를 생성하는 기법을 소개한다. 휴대폰의 출력 창은 크기가 제한되어, 자세한 도로 정보들이나 건물 정보 등의 GIS 정보를 모두 출력 창에 표현하면 사용자들이 인식하기가 매우 어렵다. 그러므로, 출력창의 크기에 맞춘 간략한 약도를 제공하여 사용자들이 지리 정보를 손쉽게 활용할 수 있도록 도와주자는 것이다. 기존의 GPS와 지리 정보를 이용한 경로 탐색 및 안내 장비는 차량 운전자를 위한 도로 중심의 지리 정보를 제공한다. 우리나라 도로 환경에서는 휴대폰을 가진 보행자가 장소 찾기에 필요한 지리 정보를 원하는 경우도 않다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 도보 통행자 및 대중교통 사용자들이 이용하기 편리하도록 지하철역이나 버스 정류장, 대형건물과 같은 이정표를 중심으로 하고. 장소 찾기에 필요한 도로만을 출력 창에 나타내어 단순화된 지리정보를 제공하고자 한다. 또한, 기존에 사용하던 방위 개념 중심의 지도들을 가지고, 지도 읽기에 익숙하지 않은 일반 보행자들이 길 찾기에 바로 사용하는 것은 쉽지 않다. 그러므로 수직 개념을 이용한 단순화된 도로 표현 기법을 사용하여 일반인도 쉴게 지도를 보고 길을 찾을 수 있도록 하였다. GIS 정보 중에서 필요로 하는 도로들을 선택하여 그 경로들을 수직선과 수평선에 가깝게 변형하고, 불필요한 도로를 생략, 지도를 단순화하였다. 또한 포함되어 있던 많은 정보들 중에서 일반적으로 보행자들이 길을 찾아갈 때에 참고하는 정보들을 제외한 나머지 정보들을 생략함으로써, 불필요한 정보로 인한 지도의 복잡도를 줄이고, 지리 정보의 가독성을 향상시켰다. 본 연구의 결과를 활용하면 휴대폰의 출력 창에는 이정표 중심의 약도를 표현할 수 있으므로, 약도 정보를 실시간으로 서비스할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.성뿐만 아니라 보안성을 중요하게 생각하였으며, 앞으로 보안 관련 소프트웨어 개발에 사용될 수 있는 도구들이 가이드 라인에 대한 정보를 제공한다.용할 수 있는지 세부 설계를 제시한다.다.으로서 hemicellulose구조가 polyuronic acid의 형태인 것으로 사료된다. 추출획분의 구성단당은 여러 곡물연구의 보고와 유사하게 glucose, arabinose, xylose 함량이 대체로 높게 나타났다. 점미가 수가용성분에서 goucose대비 용출함량이 고르게 나타나는 경향을 보였고 흑미는 알칼리가용분에서 glucose가 상당량(0.68%) 포함되고 있음을 보여주었고 arabinose(0.68%), xylose(0.05%)도 다른 종류에 비해서 다량 함유한 것으로 나타났다. 흑미는 총식이섬유 함량이 높고 pectic substances, hemicellulose, uronic acid 함량이 높아서 콜레스테롤 저하 등의 효과가 기대되며 고섬유식품으로서 조리 특성 연구가 필요한 것으로 사료된다.리하였다. 얻어진 소견(所見)은 다음과 같았다. 1. 모년령(母年齡), 임신회수(姙娠回數), 임신기간(姙娠其間), 출산시체중등(出産時體重等)의 제요인(諸要因)은 주산기사망(周産基死亡)에 대(對)하여 통계적(統計的)으로 유의(有意)한 영향을 미치고 있어 $25{\sim}29$세(歲)의 연령군에서, 2번째 임신과 2번째의 출산에서 그리고 만삭의 임신 기간에, 출산시체중(出産時體重) $3.50{\sim}3.99kg$사이의 아이에서 그 주산기사망률(周産基死亡率)이 각각 가장 낮았다. 2. 사산(死産)과 초생아사망(初生兒死亡)을 구분(區分)하여 고려해 볼때 사산(死産)은 모성(母性)의 임신력(姙娠歷)과 매우 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 사료(思料)되었고 초생아사망(初生兒死

  • This paper is to examine the interrelationship between morality (or ethics) and geography and education in terms of the moral and ethical dimension embedded moral turn in geography. Since the 1970s, the geography have morally turned with stressing realization of social relevance and justice through interest on moral issues such as the spatial inequality and human welfare in the world of difference. This moral turn in geography has formed the area of moral geography, and emphasized the ethics of care and responsibility of human and nature with warning of immoral geographies of others and nature in the world of difference with the recent trend of postmodernism. For morally careful geography teaching, it is now good time that geography educators need to think the moral turn in geography education. If geography education is willing to contribute to make a better world, it needs to reflect more morally on geography curriculum and instruction in terms of the ethics of care and responsibility.

  • This study is to standardize framework data model in facility area. This study focuses on standization of application oriented data model in facility management and other facility applications. In order to outline the framework data model in facility area, building and cultural sub-themes which have been proposed in a previously conducted research have initially been considered. Also various international and domestic standards in framework data for facility area have been analyzed to identify appropriate feature classes and types. In order to avoid future conflicts, many facilities experts from various facility areas including facility database and facility manarement have provided their inputs in this study based on their viewpoints and prospects. As a results of this study, we are developed to features and data model or framework data in facility area.

  • In this paper, we describe two exploratory examples in the use of Augmented Reality (AR) for geographical visualization regarding refinement of visual content in geography textbooks and learning motivation of geography students. Currently, teaching and learning materials with AR technology and their utilization in the geography classroom have become a new topic in geographical research themes, and this trend has increased. Adequate development and utilization of geographical materials is an important starting point for smart education research in geography. This paper describes the system and software, and the implication of marker AR applications for teaching and learning geography in the classroom. For the AR applications to be utilized in geography education, two marker based AR examples, virtual globe and visualization of topographical features, are presented and their utilization aspects are discussed. Finally, from the discussion stated in this paper, it can be inferred that AR is useful for exploring geographical materials, and marker based AR will contribute to progress in spatial science and geographical education research.

A Study on the History of Geography in China: 1909~1978 (학회.학과.연구소를 중심으로 본 중국지리학사: 1909~1978)

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the history of geography in China from 1909 when the Chinese Geographical Society(zhonguo dixuehui) was established to 1978 when the reform and open policy was initiated. The investigation was done with an emphasis on the history of institutions like academic societies, university departments and institutes. Before the PRC's establishment, the Chinese Geographical Society, the Chinese Historical Geography Society(yugong xuehui) and the Geographical Society of China(zhongguo dili xuehui) were established. After the PRC's establishment, however, the academic societies were merged together. The first university department of geography was that of Dongnan university(Nanjing university) established by Zu Kezhen in 1921. Since that Zhongshan university, Zhejiang university, Qinghua university, Beijing normal university and Beijing university established the geography departments. In 1950s the academic societies and university departments experienced the restructuring of organization and the Institute of Geography in Chinese Academy of Science was established. At that time the task of geography imposed by PRC was to serve to agricultural production and to introduce advanced Soviet science. From the beginning of the Cultural Revolution in 1966 to the eve of reform and open policy in 1978, the geography in China has experienced some deep recession. The reform and open policy was a new opportunity and crisis to geographers in China.
