Fuzzy matching is proposed to make propensities of two groups similar with their propensity scores and a way to select control variable to make propensity scores with a process that shows how to acquire propensity scores using logic regression analysis, is presented. With such scores, it was a method to obtain an experiment group and a control group that had similar propensity employing the Fuzzy Matching. In the study, it was proven that the two groups were the same but with a different distribution chart and standardization which made edge tolerance different and we realized that the number of chosen cases decreased when the edge tolerance score became smaller. So with the idea, we were able to determine that it is possible to merge groups using fuzzy matching without a precontrol and use them when data (big data) are used while to check the pros and cons of Fuzzy Matching were made possible.

Generally, stereo matching methods are used to estimate depth information based on color and spatial similarity. However, most depth estimation methods suffer from the occlusion region because occlusion regions cause inaccurate depth information. Moreover, they do not consider the temporal dimension when estimating the disparity. In this paper, we propose a temporal stereo matching method, considering occlusion and disregarding inaccurate temporal depth information. First, we apply a global stereo matching algorithm to estimate the depth information, we segment the image to occlusion and non-occlusion regions. After occlusion detection, we fill the occluded region with a reasonable disparity value that are obtained from neighboring pixels of the current pixel. Then, we apply a temporal disparity estimation method using the reliable information. Experimental results show that our method detects more accurate occlusion regions, compared to a conventional method. The proposed method increases the temporal consistency of estimated disparity maps and outperforms per-frame methods in noisy images.

For the handhold devices, minimizing repetitive CPU operations such as multiplications is a major factor for their performances. In this paper, we propose efficient algorithms for finding similar sequences from streaming time-series data such as stock prices, network traffic data, and sensor network data. First, we formally define the problem of similar subsequence matching from streaming time-series data, which is called the stream sequence matching in this paper. Second, based on the window construction mechanism adopted by the previous subsequence matching algorithms, we present an efficient window-based approach that minimizes CPU operations required for stream sequence matching. Third, we propose a notion of window MBR and present two stream sequence matching algorithms based on the notion. Fourth, we formally prove correctness of the proposed algorithms. Finally, through a series of analyses and experiments, we show that our algorithms significantly outperform the naive algorithm. We believe that our window-based algorithms are excellent choices for embedded stream sequence matching in handhold devices.
In protein 2-DE image analysis, the accuracy of spot-matching operation which identifies the spot of the same protein in each 2-DE gel image is intensively influenced by the errors caused by the various experimental conditions. This paper proposes an efficient method to find more accurate spot-matching patterns based on multiple reference gel images in spot-matching pattern analysis in protein 2-DE image analysis. Additionally, in order to improve the reduce the execution time which is increased exponentially along with the increasing number of gel images, a "partition then extension" framework is used to find spot-matching pattern of long length and of higher accuracy. In the experiments on real 2-DE images of human liver tissue are used to confirm the accuracy and the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.
In this paper, to build a parallel corpus between Korean and English in Wikipedia. We proposed a method to find similar sentences based on language resources and topic modeling. We first applied language resources(Wiki-dictionary, numbers, and online dictionary in Daum) to match word sequentially. We construct the Wiki-dictionary using titles in Wikipedia. In order to take advantages of the Wikipedia, we used translation probability in the Wiki-dictionary for word matching. In addition, we improved the accuracy of sentence similarity measuring method by using word distribution based on topic modeling. In the experiment, a previous study showed 48.4% of F1-score with only language resources based on linear combination and 51.6% with the topic modeling considering entire word distributions additionally. However, our proposed methods with sequential matching added translation probability to language resources and achieved 9.9% (58.3%) better result than the previous study. When using the proposed sequential matching method of language resources and topic modeling after considering important word distributions, the proposed system achieved 7.5%(59.1%) better than the previous study.

Recently, with the development of artificial intelligence and IoT technology, the importance of video processing such as object tracking, medical imaging, and object recognition is increasing. In particular, the noise reduction technology used in the preprocessing process demands the ability to effectively remove noise and maintain detailed features as the importance of system images increases. In this paper, we provide a modified weight filter based on pixel matching in an AWGN environment. The proposed algorithm uses a pixel matching method to maintain high-frequency components in which the pixel value of the image changes significantly, detects areas with highly relevant patterns in the peripheral area, and matches pixels required for output calculation. Classify the values. The final output is obtained by calculating the weight according to the similarity and spatial distance between the matching pixels with the center pixel in order to consider the edge component in the filtering process.

Converting boundary images to time-series makes it feasible to perform boundary matching even on a very large image database, which is very important for interactive and fast matching. In recent research, there has been an attempt to perform fast matching considering partial denoising by converting the boundary image into time series. In this paper, to improve performance, we propose an index-building method considering all possible arbitrary denoising parameters for removing arbitrary partial noises. This is a challenging problem since the partial denoising boundary matching must be considered for all possible denoising parameters. We propose an efficient single index-building algorithm by constructing a minimum bounding rectangle(MBR) according to all possible denoising parameters. The results of extensive experiments conducted show that our index-based matching method improves the search performance up to 46.6 ~ 4023.6 times.
Labeled graphs are used to represent entities, their relationships, and their structures in real data such as knowledge graphs and protein interactions. With the rapid development of IT and the explosive increase in data, there has been a need for a subgraph matching technology to provide information that the user is interested in. In this paper, we propose an approximate Top-k labeled subgraph matching scheme that considers the semantic similarity of labels and the difference in graph structure. The proposed scheme utilizes a learning model using FastText in order to consider the semantic similarity of a label. In addition, the label similarity graph(LSG) is used for approximate subgraph matching by calculating similarity values between labels in advance. Through the LSG, we can resolve the limitations of the existing schemes that subgraph expansion is possible only if the labels match exactly. It supports structural similarity for a query graph by performing searches up to 2-hop. Based on the similarity value, we provide k subgraph matching results. We conduct various performance evaluations in order to show the superiority of the proposed scheme.

Ontologies are created by domain experts, but the same content may be expressed differently by each expert due to different understandings of domain knowledge. Since the ontology standardization is still lacking, multiple ontologies can be exist within the same domain, resulting in a phenomenon called the ontology heterogeneity. Therefore, we propose a novel ontology matching method that combines SCBOW(: Siames Continuois Bag Of Words) and BERT(: Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) models to solve the ontology heterogeneity issue. Ontologies are expressed as a graph and the SimRank algorithm is used to solve the one-to-many problem that can occur in ontology matching problems. Experimental results showed that our approach improves performance by about 8% over traditional matching algorithm. Proposed method can enhance and refine the alignment technology used in ontology matching.
